Mini Purse filled with Lifesavers

I cut these from a pattern from Mel Stampz and shrunk it down so I could fit these yummy Spring Mix Lifesavers in there. I could get four of the little candies in the purse.
After cutting and scoring they glued together easily. I wanted it to go quicker since I was making 10 so I hot glue the ribbon as the handle and the flower to the front.

Can't wait till my daughter and her friends see the little treats, this is the third set and I think I am done! Now to make 10 Easter cards... all slightly different... Hmmmm

The total size without the 6" ribbon for the handle is 2 3/4"L x 1" W x 2" H
It took a piece of CS at 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 to make the mini purse and sorry to say I used new CS from American Crafts "A la Carte" more scraps to my pile!

Here are the directions to make the box treat bag.
I made ten and used 5 pieces of 12 x 12 pattern paper, left over scraps for accents and yarn.

A Rainbow of Mini box treat bags

Here is another treat I made my daughter and her college friends for Easter!
I'll post the directions in the next post.
Basic instructions - 1/2 sheet of 12 x 12 paper, scoreboard (I use my Martha Stewart!!), glue, crop-a-dial or hole punch and ribbon (I used fuzzy yarn)

And of course candy!!! I have Dove milk and dark chocolate eggs inside.

I added a row of a cs using one of my border punches (also MS) using my left over scraps. (I have to get that pile down!)

As seen in this post, I have written out directions to create these little cute boxes.
Hope they help you too, as I created 10 for little gifts I kept them plain as I have more little gifts to create. Wouldn't these be cute as a place setting at Easter?!

10 Little Exploding gift boxes

I made these to be sent to my daughter and her friends in college. I am making a box of goodies and will mail them all on Monday. So I will be posting more treats.

I recently got one of these mini boxes at a craft camp and tonight I measured out how it was made and drafted up directions. I promptly used my scraps to make 10 of these. Boy do I have a huge scrap pile! Feels good to use up the pieces.

I put two Rolos inside - I could probably have fit three .. but I didn't have enough from the bag... umm... a few ended up in my mouth..

In my next post I'll write out the directions for this 1 1/2 x 1/2" box with lid.

Flutter of Congrats

As mentioned in the previous post - my daughter had great news for us. She was accepted into one of the VP positions of her sorority chapter!! I am so proud of her - not only in her 3rd out of 6 year college program but also a standing member of a sorority.

So I wanted to create this card for her (the colors of their sorority is purple and gold) so I embossed the base with the SU folder, added a border of MS punch with gold glitter wired ribbon.

Stamped and embossed the butterflies (SU stamp) as well as the sentiment.
I added these pearls with shimmer to the center of the motifs.

Congratulations

I spoke to my daughter last night and she had some great news!
She and her friend ran for their chapter and got it.
This card is for her friend who will be the President in the fall. (I'm working on my daughter's card next)

Embossed the deep purple cs with Versamark and black embossing power. Wrapped it with gold cording. (Their colors are purple and gold).
Added a Spellbinders medallion (I was looking for gold pearls but gosh darn - I don't think I have any. I may try coloring white ones with my sharpie and repost)
Embossed in gold powder on the sentiment.
