This week #8 Maria gave us a new challenge for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long
It is to "Create a card by incorporating a scenery design using designer papers."
I thought - how could I do this, I thought of cutting an image from the Cricut... but then I remembered Iris Folding paper technique. I have not done one - but I am on the monthly email list. (You can join at http://www.irishfolding.circleofcrafters.com/ )
I found a sleigh pattern and went to work. Rather fun! (Not bad for my first try)
I first cut the base cover CS with the outline of the sleigh with my x-acto knife. Chose three pp and folded strips of 1 1/2 inches and started the layers pattern.
Then I adhered that to a base red card.
So Maria said, make a scenery.... I found some speckled white cardstock from The Paper Company - tore a strip and ran it through the swirl CB folder. Added some sparkle glitter.
Now for the stamping image - I needed something small... found a set I had from Stampin' Up - "Happy Holidays" punched it out and double layered it using SU dimensional.
Added Martha Stewart branch punch under the sentiment.
Oh my gosh, Sheryl! YOur card is absolutely beautiful. I love that Irish fold. . .it's so pretty. It looks like a lot of work but the result is spectacular! I've never tried an irishfold. I've been wanting to try it out! Thank you for playing each week. . .it's always great to see your wonderful cards!!
