Hello all as you know Showcase #11 begins Monday, June 14, and runs thru 8 p.m. central time on Friday, June 18. I really hope to see your projects entered into the showcase!

I love to re-purpose and dress up things that we can usually find right at home. My theme project for you for Showcase #11 is to dress up a candle. The candle has to be one you've recycled or re-purposed. You can use any candle you may have at home and you can find candles almost everywhere including your local Dollar Stores. You can decorate and embellish them any way you'd like, using any of your favorite colors. Here is the one I've done for you as an example and directions for completing this candle can be found on my blog just arrow down further in an earlier post.

Come back on Monday for the direct link to start to enter the showcase, so come on over, take a look and then get busy preparing yours for the showcase!!!

You can also refer to the top page of Audrey's blog throughout the week to see the picture of my theme sample as a reminder. Ohhh - I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Showcase #9 and Showcase 10

Hello folks, our dear friend Audrey at Cute and Some is having problems with Google blog.
You see she cannot comment on people's posting and she can not enter a new post either.

Please bear with her as she is trying to post the awards from Showcase #9 and also open Showcase #10.

Showcase #10 chaired by Lori (when Audrey is able to open it up) will be to make A Mini Album!
You can make your mini album out of paper, chipboard or even paper towel tubes (like Lori's shown below). You can bind it with ribbon, rings, Bind-It-All or Cinch or whatever you have! Mini albums are great for vacations, birthday parties and fun little gifts for family and friends.

If you are a follower of my blog - you will see that I just did one out of CD's. I also have done them from the paper rolls as well.
So get your creative thoughts together and we can't wait to see them all!!!!

The theme for this week is "Got the Blues". To enter, your projects must include:

• a minimum of 2 different color blues
• beads or pearls (rhinestones acceptable)
• a minimum of one flower

I am the Fairy designer this week - and my theme for you is to re-purpose those old CD's that just don't work anymore!

Go through your pile, grab one from your kids when they were little, or a disc that just didn't load correctly.
If you do not have a CD, cut a piece of cardboard/chip board from a cereal box or cracker box into a circle - layer some paper and design it up.
Key here is to re-purpose what we tend to throw away!

Here is my creation to get you started. You have till Friday and I really hope you join us.

CALLING ALL CRAFTERS!!! Showcase #7 challenge

Hello to all my followers and hoppers, this week I was selected to choose the project at Cute and Some blog!

The theme for Showcase #7 is to use a a CD for your project; or, if you don't have a CD, cut a circle from a piece of chipboard from a cereal, cracker box, or any other cardboard as long as it a circle.
You can design whatever you'd like, in any color, and embellished any way you like -- as long as it's a circle.
I have designed the CD wall plaque below as a theme sample for you to use as an idea:

I can't wait to see what you do and I'm looking forward to seeing all kinds of wonderful and imaginative creations!!! So, go on and get to crafting and join the showcase tomorrow. I will post the direct link tomorrow. Today - start brainstorming and crafting! Showcase #7 will run from May 17th - May 21st and the showcase winners to be announced on the following Monday.

Project details:
Used CD that no longer works was the base.
Glue stick this wonderful pattern paper - cut it out and inked the edges.
Cut the wagon from Cricut Cartridge "Just Because Cards" at 4", sentiment cut at 2" as well as the cute tulips. All items on foam dots for dimension.
Used my Crop-A-Dial to punch a whole on top and type a piece of twine/jute to the whole for a hanger.
