I saw a similar idea and immediately had to make it.
Bought the white terracotta pot (I wanted natural but this ended up working out great) at Dollar Tree
I painted it a based yellow color so when I glued on the sand the white would not show through
Use matte Mod Podge and adhered the sand to the pot. I picked up a bag of sand at Michael's for 2.99 - 40% off coupon of course!
Added the twine also from Dollar Tree and hot glued the shells from an old Florida trip.

Tiles
This has been on my craft to do list for some time. I got the opportunity to purchase some tiles at Home Depot and stamp using my Martha Stewart Butterflies. Gorgeous.
Using Mod Podge as a sealer a couple times and felt circles on the bottom made these a striking set.

Acorns a plenty
After multiple coats of acrylic paint and drying time - I finished the project.
Vase full of painted acorns - I mimic what Mod Podge blog did. If I was to do it again - or if I have the gumption to continue, I would paint some green ones too and gloss them over.
For now this is it.
I had some glitter spray by Krylon and did a few while I was waiting.... after making a glitter mess (oh my) on my kitchen floor - this was all I got done.

Name set of Dominoes
This is a set of dominoes for my niece Alycia. Her name like mine is very difficult to find, so my sister thought it would be a neat thing to her in Alycia's room. I agree. So I whipped up this set - with pattern paper, Mod Podge and alphabet stickers. I think some bling would be cool. But I'll leave that to Alycia.

Disney dominoes
HALLOWEEN using dominoes
I created this little table decoration tonight from a bag a Dominoes I got at a yard sale for 50 cents.
I sanded the non dot side, applied Mod Podge and then cut out a piece of swirled paper that I thought would go well for Halloween.
Cut the sentiment from Cricut Cartridge Plantin Schoolbook from white vinyl at 3/4".
Then applied another layer of Mod Podge and let it dry. I made another set and can be seen here.

Vintage Pharmacy labels
Made this notebook for my BIL who is a pharmacist. I found this web site, Just Something I made, that had vintage Apothecary labels and just had to doctor-up this notebook.
I bought the notebook at Wal-Mart great price due to school supplies in high demand. I covered it with Scotts quick dry glue and Stampin' Up DSP.
Printed the labels on white card stock and cut them all out. To give it an older feel I inked the sides of the notebook and inked the labels with my brown Color Box cats eye ink. Adhere them with Mod Podge and then spritz them with Glimmer Mist.
The colors I used were Sand and Sea Glass.
I like how a few spots hit a label and made it more vintage.

So on to my items in which I used the ALL ABOUT SCHOOL stamp set that Regina graciously gave to me to use. Please enjoy these crafty creations.
First is a charming large clothes pin that I picked up at AC Moore for 1.00! As soon as I saw it - I thought I had to add the ruler from the set I used.
I first painted the item in Americana Red paint.
Then Mod Podge the ruler image on. Let it dry and did another layer of Mod Podge.
I love it! And hope you will give it a try.
The second items are book marks.
I used a scallop punch to punch out the sentiment and added a red heart to the center.
Used my Stampin' Up office punch to create a little notebook paper for my niece to write down what books she read.
The third item is a post it note pad cover. I printed the image onto yellow card stock. Adhered it to a piece of card stock measured at 8 1/2" x 3 1/4". Scored at 3 1/8", 1/2", 3 1/8".
I adhered the 3 x 3 sticky note pad and folded it up into a little keeper. I added a fab SU! ribbon and a button in the shape of a crayon.
The inside was a little plain so I added a Tim Holtz label.
Now on to my Blog Candy. To win the following you MUST be or become a follower and leave a comment on THIS post.
I am entering this in a few challenges as well - one is back to school items at Paper Garden Projects and at The Sisterhood of Crafters - anything but a card. At a new blog I found - Bee Crafty whose theme is anything goes as long as it's a digi.

Washer Pendants
Well I finally got this crossed off my to craft list - Washer pendants.
I went to the hardware store yesterday and bought three (I gave my niece Alycia one and didn't take a pic) washers. I like this one for the size.
Luckily when I got home I had the exact paper punches to punch the card stock to fit the holes of the washers. I learned this technique here and here.
I showed my sons and they thought I bought them! Cool.
I used Mod Podge to glue the cs to the front of the washer.
I then put a layer of Liquid Embossing to give it a glaze.
While it was still wet I added bling. Waited overnight and added another layer of Liquid Embossing.
At M's I could not find the satin cording but I found leather cording which I like better because it is thinner. Looked through my two drawers of beads and found these metallic ones.
I have entered this in Allsorts challenge - anything less than 3"

Apple sign
I made this sign for my sister - I was watching her place and animals while she was away and found a shingle on her property. Since she watched out place and our cat this week I wanted to make her a thank you gift.
That got me thinking that I wanted to create a sign for her using the shingle I found. She loves the apple theme so I mimicked a sign I saw in a store.
I painted the background with Apple Barrel paints. I cut the letters and apples from A child Year Cricut cartridge and Mod Podge them on.
Let it dry and Mod Podge all over it again.
Did some sponging to look old. Sorry for the picture quality - I had my sister send me a pic from her phone as I did not take a pic of it beforehand.
This is one place she hung it above another sign she has already in her kitchen.
