Masculine Birthday Card

I made this for a dear friend's father. I heard he enjoyed the homemade aspects of the card.

I embossed the base card using the Tim Holtz French folder
Distressed a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of patterned paper
Stamped the image and sentiment from Stampin Up
Most layers raised on foam squares.

Sentimental blues

I called this post Sentimental Blues - because due to the fact I used the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge for the sentiment (1 1/2") and the adorable fancy owl (3") and also because I followed along with Audrey's challenge - blue challenge at Cute and Some

BBtB2 Sentimentals Bee Challenge

I am so glad I could participate in today's challenge at BBtB2.
We were to use the bee cut on the Sentimentals cartridge. I cut the bee at 2"

I used the swallow from Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge cut at 3"
For the base of the card it is embossed (Cuttlebug Thank You folder) and glittered (Martha Stewart)
The swallow is embossed with Swiss dots folder as well as the scallop circle (SU). The border strip in brown is a Martha Stewart punch.

This is for my neighbor who invited me over for breakfast this morning for my birthday. Home made waffles and bacon and juice. YUM as I don't usually eat breakfast so this was a treat for me indeed.
