Birthday Aperture swirl vine accents

Wanted to make a vine like card for my sister's birthday this week.
I cut an aperture with my Circle Scissors and embossed the front of the card.
With a Quikutz thinlets die I die cut random swirls and glued them in place to act as vines for the butterflies.

Inside I layered some very old patterned paper and included one more butterfly and the Tim Holtz happy birthday sentiment die set which i have been using all week!
 Another quick birthday card!

Antique Quikuts papillon card

Using my discard pile of items I was able to make this card. Inking the edges of all elements I was able to make this relatively quick card.
After die cutting the Quikutz butterfly from a paper bag and card stock I added it to an oval in my pile.
Running it through a floral embossing folder and added a black swirl of rhinestones.
I left the sentiment open for now until I know when I may need it for a specific event.

Embossed double layer butterflies

Last Friday I had a bit of time to myself so Judi said come on by! I stopped by and took a look at some of the cards she had done with her group and immediately fell in love with this card and LO.

She allowed me to make a card from her left over pieces. I did not put on a sentiment as I am not sure what I will be using this card.

LOVE it! thanks Judi!

Get well card - sweet butterfly

I made this card this past weekend for my husband's aunt who broke her ankle and needed surgery.
I first punch the butterfly from the base card front and stamped it and set it aside.
I then stamped the base card with the floral stamp from the Love & Sympathy set to give the effect of background fields of flowers. the underlining I also stamped before adhering it to the inside front cover.
Taking a glue dot - I folded the butterfly and put it back in place with some pearls.

Inside was stamped too and I drew some lines to make a border. I wrote some well wishes for her recovery.
