Nugget

Made this card for my sister's family. They decided to raise chickens and got a batch of adorable fluffy chickies and one passed. I wanted to send my pet sympathy to the family. You see the smallest one - named Nugget - was not growing. While the rest of the clan was growing rapidly - this one still looked like a little chick, well a few days ago - she did not make it.

Cut the cute chick from Create A Critter for the Quixotic challenge (animal Go-Wild), I cut the sun from Doodlecharms for the challenge at BBtB2 hosted by Sweet& Sassy. The color theme from Colour Create of pink and blue. The layout I used from Get sketchy (sponsored by Delicious Scraps) and the concept of ribbon and bling from PollyCraft

Turtle luck

Made this for our daughter who is in her middler year at NU. Yes -they are non stop no more summers off! I did get to see her yesterday and she mentioned she has mid terms this week.
My DD loves turtles and one of her fav colors would be blue.
I cut this cute turtle at 2' from Create A critter and the sun at 1" - the blades of grass - I think at 1" as well.
The back drop was run through the Cuttlebug D'Vine swirls folder.
Inside sentiment - computer generated in MS word.

I followed the sketch at A Crafty Little Place

A Peanut Hello

I made this shape card for my BIL. He hurt his ankle and multiple bones in his leg (hence the bandage on the elephants leg) and now has a plate in his leg.
Long read to recovery so I made him this card.
The hidden message "hello" is behind the peanut.

All cuts from Create A Critter - elephant at 3 1/2" peanut at 1"
This will go for Pollycraft challenge

Monkey around for Father's Day

Created this card for my husband - for our three children to give to him. They are older but I thought the whimsy would be a good thing to do... to think back when the kids were younger and oh so active!
I used the Create a Critter cartridge and cut them out at 2 1/2". I flipped one and with the negative of the vine - made more vines to appear in the background.
Since we have one girl - I put a bow on her head.
