Thanksgiving Cricut style

As mentioned in my previous post, I am cleaning up my "saved" pieces and trying to use them in current projects.
Here I had the Pilgrim couple cut from my Cricut Cartridge A Child's Year (3") quite awhile ago and a bunch of the yellow ovals. Wonder why I punched so many ovals... so I inked the edge with brown and found a piece of tan paper and the little black brad too!
The only thing I had to use was the doily from Wilton (pack of 30 for $2.00) and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The Pilgrims are raised on foam dimensionals from SU.

To search a Cricut Cartridge

This wonderful family created a web site and called it cricutsearch[dot]com but Provo Craft made them change their web site domain name ... so if you are looking for which cartridge has what cut on it - search no further - but via the web search routine at: MyCutSearch

Wal-Mart two lite carts for 45.00

I am psyched. I missed the 5AM sale for one of the lite specials for 20.00 yesterday - but when I looked this morning the Wal-Mart web site has two for 45.00!
Free shipping. Yeah and I didn't have to brave the crowds and gas money.
I also had a 20.00 e-gift card so I got two for 25.00. I will have my kids give these to me for Christmas presents.

The two I bought - Cricut Lite Cartridge, B is for Boy and Cricut Lite Cartridge, Sugar & Spice

Click the pic for a clearer image. They are so cute - and some of the images would be great for diff type of cards, like birthday or get well and baby cards and albums of course! Wahoo!

Cricut Search

OMG -this is the best site ever to look for a particular cut on your cartridges!

Cricut Search lets you put in a key word and it shows you the actual page of the handbook - so cool!

Thanks Janis for posting on your blog so I could try it out! Cool..... I did a search on pocket and it brought up three handbooks - try it out!

Cricut Mat - re-use by painting tape

On the MB folks try any way to re-use a well loved mat.
I do not reglue the mat - I just use Painters Blue Tape. You know the kind for walls- and you want to tape off the area..... Works great and this is how I do it:Here is the cut I did. Cut the card perfectly. Here is if I wanted to use a middle of a sheet in the middle of the mat.
I have two mats. and I always keep some pieces on the side until I am ready to cut.

Butterfly card - from Indie Art

Base CS was run through the CB swirls folder and inked with purple to bring out the swirls. (The camera picks up more ink than you can see with the eye on the card! Also makes it look blue - perhaps purple and black make blue [giggle])

The butterfly was cut twice using the Idie Art Cricut Cartridge - once in solid purple and swiss dot embossed with the CB folder.

The top wings were cut from DCWV paper. The ribbon is from MS, and the accents - swirls are from a sizzlits. Glitter accents were on the wings and dots.

Indie Art Cheat Sheet

For those who have Cricut Indie Art Cartridge.
I have spent some time - creating this cheat sheet.
To download - right click on the image you see in my blog, save it to your desk top or file. Print from that file. If you try and print from the large view - you will not get the whole image.

You can click on the image - just to view it but it will be difficult to print in without resizing. Your best bet - follow the above directions.
