Congratulations double pop up card

I wanted to do something special for Kehlsey (my friend Louise's daughter) who graduated from nursing school.
the cover I cut from scrapbook paper called Rosewood.

I edged the sides with a border punch which added to the plain panels.
To make the pop up, I used my trimmer and made two inner cuts from 1 1/4" down from the top edge and each cut is 1" apart and 1"from each side. To make the risers, I scored 1/2".

To make the extra pop up, I cut a 4" strip with 1/2" tabs to be glued to the main pop up.

I look forward to making more surprise cards.

50th birthday pop up card

I made this birthday card for my sister as her birthday is next month. I made this somewhat quick card using the new Elizabeth Design Die I won at the Stamp Expo earlier this month. I just got around to using it.
The die set comes with a lot of pieces, well worth it if you happen to pick it up.

This is the cover of the card, I used some scraps I had and they all worked well. The Happy Birthday collage is a very old stamp set. (no name)

Gift card pop up holder

I spent a couple hours tonight making these (8) for an upcoming craft fair.
Starting out with a 4 1/4 x 10" piece of card stock (I can make 2 base card holders from one 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.)
Score on the 10" side at 3"~4"~5"~and 8".
If you valley, mountain then valley fold the 3" 4" and 5" scored areas then glue the sides, take a punch or cut the fold you can insert a gift card.

I punched out some tags (Stampin' Up punch and sentiment)

And tied on Dollar Tree green twine.

Nursing wall hanging

I am going to a graduation party on Sunday and this saying was on the invitation.
Using my favorite scrapbook paper by Colorbok called Rosewood I cut this down to 8.5" x 11. Placed it in my printer and using Microsoft Word printed the saying.
The font I used: Algerian
The size: 55

To get this in a standard picture frame I cut it down to 8 x 10.
I hope Kehlsey has a wonderful day!

Girl in field watercolor card

I am continuing to try watercoloring. Since attending the expo I am hoping to get better and understand more of the techniques. This card I made for Kelsie who is in the hospital and wanted to make a non traditional Get Well Card.
I used this old Stampin' Up set (2004) that I just bought for $5.00! called: Summer by the Sea
Here is my new watercolor set I bought at Michaels. I really like how they work even though they are a beginners set. I just need to find my brush set... Any way the paper is a multi media Canson paper; 138 lb. Luckily on Saturday at Michaels this $9.99 pad was on sale (65% off) for under $4.00. perfect timing.

Expanded portfolio birthday card

I had all these individual pieces in my bin and this card just came together Saturday morning for a birthday card for Violet.
The base card is a 12 x 6 piece of double sides card stock.
Scored at 2", 4", 8" and 10", when closed/folded up it is 4 x 6.

Added a Stampin' Up butterfly punched and sentiment to the front.
The giraffe was in my stash from an old Cricut cut (not sure the size I cut) but he stands 4" tall.
Added gems to the giraffe where spots should have been.

Oddly enough Violet who turned 6 this weekend for loves giraffes and so glad I had this cut in my bin to complete the quick card!

Mickey head bottlecap necklace

I am making these for an upcoming craft fair and selling them for $5.00.
I bought bottle caps that already had the bail on them to save time from punching a hole in the bottlecap or trying to add on a bail.
Using an EK Success one inch punch I punched various glitter paper and E6000 them to the caps and glued on the rhinestone Mickey heads.

I bought corresponding suede/leather cording and cut to lengths that they can be slipped over the heads, however I did finish them off with a sliding knot so they can be adjusted.

Fall aperture fun card

I used two Spellbinder dies to create the framed aperture.
Using my Crop-a-Dile I punch a hole in the base card and added an eyelet.
I die cut various leaves from Lawn Fawn (I bought this awesome set last year at the expo) and inked and hung it from twine.

Using an old Martha Stewart fence punch I added that to the front and tucked in a little pumpkin from the Elizabeth Craft Designs (bought a few at the Expo last weekend and this little pumpkin was in one of the charm sets). Made two of these quick cards!

Happy Birthday pop up

Created another card using the items I bought at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo, this one took a little less time than the last, I used two cardstocks and some liquid adhesive for the little pieces.
This one I die cut the little stars and glued them back to back to string. I'll keep this in my stash till I need it - but I think this will work for both male and female recipients!
