Natural tones note card

This is a simple note card I created last night with my new Spellbinder's die! It was under 8 dollars for the little set. It gives you three ways to cut the image and I love to create with the pieces.

Here I just center the medallion image on a 3 1/2" x 4 piece of black card stock and it cut beautifully.
Mounted it on light cream card stock and tied natural cording around the bottom. I was going to put a sentiment... but which one... not sure at this time, hence the "note card" title.
I was going to run the bottom through the lace Stampin' Up embossing edge folder, but opted for the SU polka dots instead.
The center of the medallion is a flowered rhinestone from Creative Charms which appears to no longer be in business.

Game piece necklaces

I made these two necklaces for my son's girlfriend. Lucky for her she works at AC Moore! So I wanted to just make her a couple crafty things.

One is my domino necklaces (she likes yellow), paper from a catalog glued to the domino. Edged with a silver marker. Glaze on top and strung with black cording.
The other is my first scrabble tile necklace! On the back is her letter A for her first name on natural cording.
I obtained the verse from Google and added rhinestones to the side.

Leaves of wings

I have this wonderful embossing folder, just not sure why I had not used it - in so long!
I used the Stampin' Up border punch and the butterfly as an accent on the blue circle.
Simple sweet note card. I left the sentiment or occasion off for when I need a quick card!

Rain or Shine

I love the clean lines and sleekness of this card that we made a couple weeks ago at Judi's.
I changed mine up a little bit as i like to put my own creativeness into the projects. I will be sending this to my daughter today.
It's her last final before graduating!

All items from SU!

Note of Thanks

Again - going through my saved pieces, I had a bunch of these leaves punched and the sentiment as well stamped.
I added them to a Cuttlebug swirl embossing mat.
The Sentiment and label are from Stampin' Up.
The Pumpkin, also already made from last fall in my stash, was created by using the oval punch from Stampin' Up punched three times and inked.

beautiful day

Well - today it is rainy here and dreary, but this card shows sings of spring.
The image is a digi stamp I had already colored and the flowers glued on. (this was in my saved pile) I added the striped yellow layer of pattern paper and layered it to the based green cardstock which was run through the Cuttlebug floral swirl embossing folder.

The sentiment which makes up one of the stems says "Hope you have a beautiful day".
I had this sentiment for a few years. I am not into digi stamping but this was cute.

Butterflies of Sympathy

Created this card from my leftoevers again! Today is Earth Day and I am a firm believer of recycling.
Here I got to make this beautiful card to have on the ready when the time comes.
The embossing is the floral swirl from Cuttlebug, the butterflies are from Sizzix Stampin' Up embosslit and the sentiment was a cut from one of the Cricut cartridges, not sure at this time which one it was as it was in my stash. (I'll edit once I look it up)

Wishing on a Star

I am cleaning up my bin of cuts and scraps and came across this star that was punched/cut and the word wishes.
I proceeded to run the star through the Sizzix SU stripes embossing folder and raised it on foam squares onto a piece of green cs that I ran through the Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder.

I think this would be a great male middle age child's birthday card!

Star ornaments

I made a couple of these and will be making more as I perfect this or add to them, maybe a red ribbon ?

I cut the star (Sizzix die) from alluminum roof flashing. Punched a hole with a hole punch. Using thin wire I attached the bauble, beads and the hanger.
I like the second picture because it picked up the flash of my camera :)
I plan on selling these at the next craft fair I attend so I may change up the elements a bit, but not bad for a first try late last night!

Rounded the bottom corners of the card

My twin sister and I have a birthday on Sunday, and I must send this card today!
I created it this morning before work to ensure it meets the letter carrier today!

The butterfly is a punch I have had for years and punched it out on whisper white card stock at 1 1/2" x 1 3/4". The blue card stock beneath the butterflies were run through three different embossing folders.

Snowflakes and frost

With frost on our cars this morning, I stamped a couple of these cards to pass the time before work.
The stamp set is from Stampin' Up Snow Swirled and the ink is Baja Breeze.

To make this card, it can be done with one piece of whisper white.
Cut Card stock at 4 1/4" x 11"
Cut remaining layers at: 3 3/4" x 5" run through the swiss dots embossing folder and inked.
Cut a 1 3/4" piece at 4" and stamp the sentiment in the middle of the strip and ink.
Cut two 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" and stamp the smallest snowflake and ink. I added two crystals to the center.

Rock It Birthday card

Created this masculine birthday card from my "saved" images and pieces bin. Great I am getting my bin down and creating lots of cards in the mean time!!!

The image is from Stampin' Up, the sentiment is from Cricut cartridge (sorry not sure which one as it was cut awhile ago and I didn't use it at the time).
Each layer on the base card is 2 1/2" x 4". Green star scrapbook paper is from ColorBok (got the clearance 12 x 12" pad at Wal-Mart for 2.50! All boy prints). The orange card stock is actually card blanks and I cut circles in it after smashing bottle caps and thought it created a cool pattern!.
All layers included the card base I roughed the edges by using my scissors edge.

Language of Friendship

My son's church friend is moving away to Tennessee and today's service was a very touching one as a safe send off to them was mentioned.

They will be missed in the family and friends back here and we hope their new life will be just as meaningful.

With that being said here is a card I made for my son to give them.
The base card was embossed with a Stampin' Up Sizzix embossing folder. I then created the cross by cutting a segment from the lattice die (also Sizzix/SU).

Using the Boho trio punch I punched the center flowers and the sentiment was perfect to relay their friendship. (SU set Language of Friendship)

Santa and girl silhouette card

Silhouette of Santa and a little girl is cut from A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge, I believe 3/5".
The following items were also in my "cast off container" and I was able to put this sweet card together.
I chose a black card stock base and ran it through the Snowflake Sizzix Stampin' Up embossing folder. (You may have to click the picture to see the embossing.
Thre three silver snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Thanksgiving Cricut style

As mentioned in my previous post, I am cleaning up my "saved" pieces and trying to use them in current projects.
Here I had the Pilgrim couple cut from my Cricut Cartridge A Child's Year (3") quite awhile ago and a bunch of the yellow ovals. Wonder why I punched so many ovals... so I inked the edge with brown and found a piece of tan paper and the little black brad too!
The only thing I had to use was the doily from Wilton (pack of 30 for $2.00) and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The Pilgrims are raised on foam dimensionals from SU.

Spring time happy day

Looking through my container of cuts and images that I usually do and then change my mind, I was able to make a few cards quickly since all I had to do was pair items together. I love to clean up my "hold" items and accomplish sweet cards and mini albums as well!
The background embossing I believe was a Sizzix or was it a Cuttlebug folder from my friend Sue....
The image is from Stampin Up "ears sending you a happy day!" so cute. It was stamped on watercolor paper.
The three flowers were punched and rhinestones (light blue) added to the center to blend in with the layer behind the bunny image.

Since here in MA, it's spring one day and winter the next this week. I thought I would send this to my daughter in college. It was 70 on Monday and 30 today!

Snowy torn glittered cards

I made these back in January but forgot to post them.
I bought this glittery shiny card stock at Tuesday Morning when I was in Florida. I huge pack for $3.00 and it's perfect for snowy cards or wedding cards etc.

Here I torn additional pieces and made it look like snow mounds.

Added a triple tree stamp, a sentiment and Michael's chipboard pieces created quick cards.

Masculine Birthday Card

Using the SU set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog  I used the ferris wheel and the Celebrate stamp.
The images are on a speckled brown paper stationary I had in my stash to keep with the vintage feel. That piece was cut to 4" x 3 1/4".
The next layer (black) was cut at 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" and I used the ticket corner punch (SU retired) on all the layers.

The accent strip on the left is cut from the speckled paper at 5" x 1 1/2".
To finish the front off, I added two deep purple flat back pearls.

Puppy Thanks

My SIL asked me to make some puppy thank you cards for her Vet and everyone who took care of their very ill dog.

I was happy to do so. Using the paper Pups Cricut Cartridge I cut this dog that had looked just like Bruiser!

The little hearts are cut from a Sizzlets SU Sizzix die that cuts and embosses these 5 little hearts! I used the smallest on the cards.

I cut him at 3" and the "Thank you" sentiment at 2". I used the sentiment from Beyond Birthday's Cricut Cart.

Here I show how I layered the inside. I used the SU thin framelets dies.

Two hearts become one - wedding card

Here is a wedding card I made using Basic Grey items.

It is a 5 x 5" square brown card base. Layers with 4 1/2 x 4 1/2" worn looking light brown pattern paper which I inked all edges of paper and hearts.
I added a little jewlery hang tag on wire that I had in my jewlery crafts it says "adore".

The rub on used says "and two hearts become one" (Basic Grey rub on sheet).

Circle love you card

This is a 5" circle card inked as the base. Taking scraps of patteren paper (which we all have!) cut in variaying lengths at one inch widths and glue them to the middle of the circle. (all items were inked with brown StudioG ink)
Two hearts were inked and one was placed off centered. A rubbed on sentiment was added to the smaller chipboard heart.

Selective die cutting Doily die

I was playing around with the doily die and trying to get areas of non die cut areas.
This is what I came up with.
I saw a similar reverse on pinterest and the woman wanted $5.00 for the video!
I am always up for a challenge, so after a few tries I managed to get this heart to remain solid. I am still trying other options and shapes.
Stayed tuned while I refine this technique. I did another one where I have only the heart die cut and there is a space around it.

Meanwhile I took the cut and placed it on deep gray card stock and pink craft foam base. Sending this to my daughter and hope I can re-create this again!

For You Bird cage card

I sent a RAK to Lisa and Yolanda where I stamped a lot of Stampin' Up Tags as they do so much tag creations on you tube.

To go long with the various tags I created this card.
Base card was corner edges and run through the swirl cuttlebug folder and inked to bring out the details.
Next I punched a border using a Martha Stewart border punch.

Mounted a bird cage and bird from a Sizzix Tim Holtz die and finished it off with a for you tag from Stampin' Up.
