Thinking of you Fall card

Made this card for my son... it was long overdue.
The background layer is a metal embossing plate that I picked up on clearance at the Expo and this was the first time I used it. Pretty neat effect and I did add a little brown ink to it however it is hard to see.
Sizzix thing of you die and Lawn Fawn leaves cut from paint chips I had in my stash.
Some of the leaves I added foam to raise some of  them.
Nice quick card.

Thinking of you copper embossed leaves

Using a clear block I rubbed 3 different colors of SU ink and spritz it with water.
Pressed the ink block on watercolor 140 lb cold press paper.
Took copper embossing powder and sprinkled it on these leaves and heat embossed.
Glued the image to recycle calendar pages as I like the bright red and brown colors.

Sentiment and punches also from SU!
Made 3, mailed 2 to Kelsie as I didn't get to visit this week and the other to her parents.

Thinking of you

I made this masculine type card for someone out of state.

I used the Tim Holtz die to cut into the base card and the sentiment from Sizzix set "celebrate"
For the inside, what I did was make a tri-fold insert and just lightly glued diwn one side to tge inner side of card. The tri-fold then unfolds to the right in which I wrote my message. This allowed white to be shown through the diamond cuts and allow me to journal.

The background is the script embossing folder which I layered ribbon on it.
Cut out circles for the sentiment and raised on foam square.
The leaf believe it or not is from a wallpaper sample.

Layered embossed simple card

While I had other plans when I started this card, I ended up keeping it simple and letting the embossing shine as the focal for this card.

Base run through Cuttlebug embossing folder., the following layered sentiment on Stampin' Up punches. The white layer was also embossed with Sizzix dots folder.
I finished it off with various sizes of SU pearls.

Card being sent to my daughter today as she started her summer session post grad class this week.

Thinking of you

A little vintage and combination of SU and Spellbinders on this card.
The base card is black layered by and an "oops" of the doily lace stamped image. It was a little light in an area but hated to discard it. With some embellishments it become this vintage card!
I added a couple new Spellbinders dies (the window and the key). I love the details and they cut wonderfully in my Big Shot.

I added pearls (SU) to the bottom of the window and a couple other places.
And this time I remembered to add the Glitter Gelly Roll Pen to the doily stamped image (SU).

Finished it off with a SU sentiment and punches.

Simple card layout done two ways

I saw this layout very early this morning while blog surfing however her card had no embossing. So I took my hand at it with the elements I had.
Base card is scored at the top A2 size using whisper white card stock, one card is embossed fully with a Cuttlebug folder, and the other has an embossing Sizzix border (SU!) folder just to the bottom portion.
The rest of the layout is the same for both cards.

Cut your doily it could be a real doily or one you cut with your Cricut or Sizzix die into 4 equal pieces. My doily was about 4 x 4 in size.

Cut your mats at 3" x 3" and 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"
Sentiment strip is 4 1/2 x 1/2" inked and raised by either foam squares (Think of you) or by curling the paper a bit (Mother's Day card)

Hope you give it a try. I created a video to help view the elements I used.

Pearls and Lace card - two ways

I made two of these cards that are similar in the layouts but I raised the elements in a different way, depending on where I put the foam squares to raise the scallop square or images.

Please see the video for more details.
Most of all the products I used was from Stampin' Up.

Thinking of you

My daughter gave me some wonderful card making supplies for Christmas, so with one of the stamp sets from Hero Arts, I made this card for her.
She started back at school to work at a co-op job and wish her well. She will be doing a co-op for 6 months as part of her DPT program at the University.

Thinking of you - earthy butterflies

I wasn't sure where I would end up as I started this card, little by little it came together, all but the base card is done with scraps!

Card made with all scraps - thinking of you

So Maria at Stampin Inspirations dared us to use our scraps - oh my we all have them! She calls is Scrap Pile Saturday. Love it!
So in my bins and bowls and piles - I found everything - even the sentiment was already punch I just had to ink the edges
The ribbon on the paper clip from Stampin' Up was in my pile as I had stripped it off a card long time ago
The music note paper was in a pile - of ... oh maybe use it one day when it strikes me
The butterfly charm was in pile with my other beads so I added that to the paper clip even the green card stock behind the music paper and inside was something I embossed and did not like - so I re-bossed it with the Cuttlebug D'Vine swirl folder and ran my sanding block over it
The yellow butter was something I had punch from a scrap piece of textured card stock as not to waste a corner piece. (The butterfly was punched using Stampin' Up punch as well months ago!)
Whew - I think it all ties together a bit.
