Dove mini album

Here is a 4" x 6" mini album which I created by cutting the black 12 x 12 textured card stock into 4 x 6 pieces. You get 6 pages from one piece!

The cover denotes hand made roses I created by using 3/4 satin ribbon.. The dove is cut very a very thin piece of leather, it feels like suede.
The pocket pages are 1 1/2" strips of Stampin Up card stock that I cut with my Tim Holtz Sizzix edge die and inked them. The flower ensemble is made using a Sizzlet die and paper flowers from Michaels and pearls from Stampin' Up.

Thanks for viewing and your comments, and here is a video to show you all the details.

Wine bottle bag

My friend Terry gave me some fabric and I immediatley created this wine bag to go with a bottle of Barefoot Wine I bought for a 50th birthday party I went to on Saturday.

I cut the fabric at 18 inches long by 16 1/2" wide.
Sewed the long sides wrong sides together to make a long tube with a 1/4" seam allowance.
Stitched the bottom (short side) to close up the bottom and did the corner triangle stitching to give the bag a gusset to square off the bottom.

Place the top open end of the bag into the arm portion of my sewing machine and finished with a 1/4" hem. To tie the bottle bag closed I had a scrap piece of the salvage hem of the remnant fabric that I had cut off initially with my Pinking sheers. Perfect! wrapped it around and tied a bow.

4 x 6 leather swirl mini album

I love how this came out! All paper and card stock from Recollection at Michael's.
The swirl on the cover is a Sizzix die that I cut out of very thin leather!!! Inked and added Stampin' Up flat back pearls, all hot glued in place.

The flowers are also from Michael's recollection collection I got in the clearance section. The lace is vintage lace I bought at  a quilt show hot glued to the covers and a piece tied to the Cinch binding.
The charm on the side is three layers of the leather that I die cut, glued, inked and punched a hole with my Crop-A-Dile. Added a couple jump rings to a seed bead necklace I broke down to make the dangle.

The pages are all 4 x 6 double matted and used the labels Cuttlebug embossing and cutting die. They are inked and raised on foam squares.

You can watch the video for more details, thanks for stopping by would love comments.

Card Set Holder

I made this corresponding card holder to go with the set of note cards shown here.

This set we will be making in an upcoming class in my home. Those who are local, hope you can join.
The set I used is Love & Sympathy, all products used in the project are from SU.

4 step card note card

I was inspired by a card on Pinterest where a circle was the template, here I used a butterfly where I sponged just inside the template and stamped the image on top.
I punch the bottom to give it a fabulous edge where the original post on Pinterest did not. I then added a 3/4" x 4 1/4" strip of matching textured card stock.
All items from Stampin' Up.

I'm making a set of 4 as a note card gift set. You can see the set and the holder.
Step one - hold template against base card, and sponge ink around the inner portions of the edged stencil.
Step two - remove stencil and stamp image over sponged shape
Step three - using a border punch, punch the bottom of the card front
Step four - cut a coordinating piece of card stock at 3/4" x 4 1/4" and glue to inside of card so the border peeked the color through when card is closed for mailing.

Hope you give it a try!

Thanks and please leave comments so I may visit your blog or pinterest wall.

Clean and Simple white on white Thanks card

I created these cards by cutting the cardstock in the verticle direction, scored and folded down. (4 1/2 x 11 scored at 5 1/2")
Embossed the bottom two thirds with the Sizzix SU embossing folder on whisper white card stock.

On the upper portion, I right justified the sentiment (thanks also from Stampin' Up) in black ink.

For accents I cut stars using the Sizzix die and glued them on with foam squares for dimension.
I will be making these for my upcoming class as well.

4 inch peanut can repurposed

I covered this can with a wallpaper sample that my friend Sue gave me and some wired ribbon I add in my stash from something I took off to reuse at a later time.

I hot glued the vintage lace to the plastic cover's edge. I did not make it all frilly as it is going in my living room as I recently repainted the walls in cream and blue - so this is perfect.

Inside I'm keeping individually wrapped life savers, for a little sweet snack while watching TV or crafting!

If you like more details - I made a short video.
Hope you give it a try.

Repurpose nut can

I was about to toss this peanut can in the recycle bin, when I thought I would redecorate it! I used a wallpaper sample cut at 2 3/4" x 12" and ATG that to the can.
Hot glued the lace to the cover and the bottom of the can.

I created the satin flowers and the black mini rose and hot glued those in place. To add more details I also included some wedding picks and loops of black ribbon.
The flower on the can itself is from Creative Charms. I think the can came out sweet! So look around and you can cover and repurpose just about anything!!

The video can be viewed here.
Thanks for viewing and comments! Much appreciated!

Birthday - butterflies

This card is for my neighbor Sandra whose birthday is today.
I did a spin off of the double butterfly card (currently the most popular post).

I added more embossing to the card by using a Sizzix mini flowers embossing folder to emboss both butterflies and the base layer card.
I cut the pennant piece at 1 3/4" x 4 1/4"
Used the fancy die as a third layer and embossed that with the little dots embossing folder also by Sizzix.
Glue dot the butterfly tilted for a different effect.

Since I had some green scraps, I cut the little antennae and used my nail to curl it.
Sentiment is from Stampin' Up - Teeny Tiny wishes which I also made into a pennant.
All edges off the elements and layers were inked.

Graduation Card - modified

You may have remembered this card from this post.

Since I am giving this to a male graduating student (party on Saturday for Ryan), I removed the butterflies and added layered graduation cap stickers.

Congrats to Ryan and good luck in NJ!

Embossed double layer butterflies

Last Friday I had a bit of time to myself so Judi said come on by! I stopped by and took a look at some of the cards she had done with her group and immediately fell in love with this card and LO.

She allowed me to make a card from her left over pieces. I did not put on a sentiment as I am not sure what I will be using this card.

LOVE it! thanks Judi!
All products SU.

Chicken note card

My niece needed a little cheering up so I made her this chicken card from scraps of card stock and stickers I had from a previous SU class. Her family has chickens which she adores so I was glad to use the stamp set from Stampin' Up I had.

Thank You - class card

I held a class in my home on Saturday and this is the card I had the folks make.

We embossed the oval onto white card stock, then as an accent inside the oval we embossed a scallop oval and adhered it in place.
Stamped the beautiful butterflies from "Kindness Matters" Stampin' Up set.

I had the team add the cute hanging price tag from a brad and raised the sentiment also included inthe stamp set.
Placed the layer on the blue card stock.
Love how the card turned out
