Mini Album from paper tubes

I saw this idea on a blog (paperjewels), while blog hopping Friday night. My sister and I just had a birthday (yes, I am a twin) and coincidentally she just gave me a bag of paper towel/toilet paper tubes figuring I could use them for something. Little did she know - I just found the idea and she was getting this surprise mini album.

So I made a mini album using 4 of the tubes, covering them in 6 x 6 in pattern paper. (My Minds Eye)
Used my Crop-a-dile to add large eyelets. Tied multiple strings to binder rings.
Tags cut (Pocket full of Posies - DCWV) and inserted in the opening of each flattened out tube. Also eyelets and ribbon used to the tags. Corner rounder used on the tags.
Cricut Wild card cartridge used for the font.
Martha Stewart butterfly punch also used on the cover.
Faux stitches and paper piercing used
Tied it all together with this fabulous yellow ribbon using two ribbon brads.

Hang in There

The card base was cut using Wild Card from Cricut. Cut at 4" but flipped.
Base was embossed using Cuttlebug Swirls folder.

The bird is cut from Indie Art (Cricut) and glue to the apeture.
Sentiment inside also on the same key as the card.

I think the purple is striking on the white.

Ad inspired challenge # 11

So - I happened along the challenge that Jade is doing over at the C-MB, so I thought to give it a try. http://www.cricut.com/messageboard/tm.aspx?m=4442566&mpage=1&key=&
The colors were pink and orange - mind you not the two colors I would think go together - but a little embossing and inking - I think I like this card!

Recipe:
Wild Card Cricut cartridge size 4"
Cuttlebug Swirls and birds embossing done to the front.
The Frame was also CB using the swiss dots. inks and glued in place.
The birds are from the tweet cut on Wild Card to go with the base card. (raised with foam dots)

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 13

At first I was not sure how I was going to approach the latest LO from Maria - Christmas Stampin All year long.
I had just received the mini Christmas folders from Cuttlebug and I could fit three across.
Then wanted to do a white on white card.

Used Three diff Cuttlebug folders. Sentiment stamp from Inkadinkado, oval from Stampin' Up.

Sorry if this is difficult to see.

Fairy thoughts for you

I made a couple of these cards for a Fairy Mission
I used the limited StudioG Fairy stamp.
CB folders were used and inked.

Scrapsketch 41 - T-Ride LO

Whew - I got my second LO done to complete this full spread.
I used the Sketch #41 from scrapsketch blog

Coluzzle used to cut circle at upper left corner.
Products use: Pocket Full of Posies, DCWV, My Minds Eye, SU punch (arrows), CK chipboard, paper flowers, pearls and ink

Piggies - Birthday card

Yes - I am a twin. Our birthday is tomorrow so I made this card late last night to mail today.
My sister loves pig... I was at Michael's on Saturday and in their clearance bins, I found a Cuttlebug kids die of a pig! Couldn't resist picking it up. The price sticker was 1.99, when I paid for it - it was .99! She will be so surprised when she gets this card. [hee hee]

Cuttlebug embossing borders (flowers) were inked.
The grass and the piggies noses (inked) are raised with foam dots.
The grass was from one of the Cricut cartridges (sorry do not remember as it was in my scrap - cut pile - never throw away a cut) The sentiment is a punch (inked) from Stampin' Up and the sentiment is as well.

Scrapsketch 27 - Day Trip

I am enjoying using the Layouts from Scrapsketch
Here is LO # 27 from the above web site:

Here is my version - I had to use the mirror image due to the pattern paper I had.

I used the CB Swiss Dot embossing folder to emboss some items: The Title, the strips inder the pictures. The half circle (used my coluzzle)

After 2 hours of practice and creating my directions - I have completed this little wristlet/purse! Just in time - I have to leave at 12:30 for a b-day party.
Some directions were given just weren't making sense in my tired head... so I had to start from scratch! I editted it a little.

Items used:
Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge - image/key #48 (shift)
Crop-a-dile
Card stock from My minds eye - lovely - the inside looks like cloth!
Ribbon from Stampin' up

Congrats.. on finishing first year of college - Card

Kristen loves turtles, so I took my inked suncatcher image and made a card for her.
Congrats Kristen on a great first year at NU!
Silk flower (unknown source) Pearls - Mark Richards - Michael's
Congrats cut from Cricut Wild Card cartridge at 4 3/4"
Turtles were chalked and glittered
Inside - computer generating sentiment
Purple CS used is from Michael's
PP from Provo crafts 8 x 8 SLAB by Christina Cole

Using a suncatcher as a stamp

I went to Michael's craft store last night and looked at the palstic sun catchers... I wanted to use them in my CB to emboss card stock... while I try and get that sandwich combination down right (as every way I try I ended up with slits or cracks in the embossed image).

I thought - let me ink the suncatcher and run that through as an image.
First try - it came our awesome.
Here is the results.

Sandwich combination for the Cuttlebug
A
SUNCATHER FACE UP AND INKED
CARD STOCK
SIZZIX ADAPTER (SAME AS B PLATE I BELIEVE)
SIZZIX RUBBER INSERT (OR HARDWARE STORE)
