Flower Fairies

First time making these and plan on making these to sell in the store.
These are only 3" tall.
The heads are 1/2"

Snow wooden sign

Along with the snowmen I made a few of these. Some I free handed the letters S N W, others I used stamps.
I sold these with snowflakes and Tea Lights for 5.00

Drew on little accents and added rhinestones for sparkle.

Snowman from 2 x 4

I was inspired by Pinterest to make these for my December craft fair.

Purchased a 2 x 4
Cut to 6" lengths
Sanded all edged
Painted with off white house paint
Purchased a couple fat quarters from Wal-Mart and ripped into pieces for scarfs
Painted on faces
Glued on buttons
I sold these for 5.00 they did well and will make more for next fair

Reindeer Wooden Ornaments

I got together with a couple friends to make gift for the Christmas season.
Here was one of the items we did, my friend husband cut and sanded these wooden pieces for us.

While we all painted something different on them, I chose to take chalkboard paint, a rubber stamp and white acrylic paint.

1. I painted in a circle the chalk board paint
2. I took a stamp from my stash (from Stampin' Up) and brushed on white paint
3. Stamp it and hoped for the best :)
4. Tied on a painted red wooden ball and some twine

perhaps next year I'll add these to my craft fair.

Double Panel Pop out cards

I made two of these cards with a new die I bought.
I've been wanting this die for years and glad this different company made it even better!

The first card is for my friend Louise who invited me to see Tim Hawkins comedy show. Loved it!

 This is what it looks like when it is fully closed. The card inside actually pivots!
 The below picture shows the card opened up

This shows the back of the card and the other side of the pivot. The panel you see on the left allowed me to write a sentiment to Louise and John.

While I was making one card I often will make the same card twice with a twist, this card I wanted to send to Kelsie for her first day back to work.

Birthday banner pop out card

I love this Elizabeth Craft Design Die set and it's rather fun and easy to make one of these cards.

This one I made for my daughter.

The sentiment are from Stampin Up.

I left the front plain as it will be dispayed open.

Book page wreath

I saw this wreath advertised at a class which I thought was right up my alley.
Re-purpose an old book which I bought from the Salvation army for .99, sad to say this book was from 1948; The Valiant Lady. (This book was about 6" x 9")

Cutting a 10" x 10" square from foam board, I drew two circles one at 8" in circumference and then 4"  circle within that.

Punched a hole in the square and ran a jute string through it so I can hang it when done. (see above drawing)
Taking the pages from the book (or if you are using music sheets you may need to cut them down)
I ripped them out and rolled them into a cone, to make the cone start at the lower corner of the page and roll it into a cone shape. I taped the upper side to keep it together.
To know where to place it on one of your two rings (on the white foam board) you stapled about 1.5 " up from the bottom point of the cone.

Taking hot glue gun, glued them by laying the stapled area to the outer ring. I believe there are 32 cones glued to the outer ring of my first layer.

I continued again to fold, tape, staple and hot glue the next grouping to the 4" ring. (I think 25 cones )

The 3rd layer, I rolled the cones on the long side of the page starting in the middle of the long edge thus creating a shorter wider cone and glued (8) them to the center. because there was a gap, so I added the 4th layer (8 more) which were placed between the cones on the 3rd layer.

I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in the middle , I had a few of these medallions I made for Christmas ornaments ...and glued one in the center (the medallions were made from old music sheets) .

I found the perfect spot in my home above my stairs when you walk into my house.

Baby Tri Shutter panel card

 My Pastor's wife gave birth to their 5th child, an adorable boy. He finally went home from the hospital and I took some time finally to create a card for them.

 I had several ideas and different card styles but settled on this Tri shutter panel card technique.

The baby items are from two different companies, one is Elizabeth Craft Designs (pacifier, PJs and bunny) which I had won last month at the Expo, and the other is from Jilli Bean Soup Hampton Art (Bird, cloud, umbrella) also bought from a vendor at The Expo.
The die cut words were cut singly using a QuiKutz die.
