Penguin Valentine's

Saw a similar card with a penguin and wanted to make a couple for two sweet little girls, Julia and Elizabeth.
I manually cut the two ovals for the body.

I used the heart punch for the hands.
I used the fancy label punch for the feet.

I drew on the strings.
The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug
Sentiment frim Stampin Up
The heart punch from ek Success
The eyes I punched from the cupcake builder punch from SU

Hot Air Balloon

After seeing someone make a hot air ballon on Pinterest with no directions....I set forth to create this for Julia's 7th birthday as a special sort of card.
Started out with 4 (two layers) circles and glued them to a skewer. Glued 1/8th ribbon for the tethers.
Covered a plastic spool with scrapbook paper and secured the ribbons and added bows.
Added a scalloped circle for the base.
Lastly added the sentiment to the front.
It was a big hit at the party.

Trust God

I made this Christening card as I was invited by my neighbor to her daughter's little boy's event. Card made 7/20/14) (could not get a clear picture of the card)

I recalled this type of card, but didn't have a template as I didn't have time to look for it. (Did the best I could do)

Start out with 4 1/4 x 11 white cardstock and score at the top.
About two inches from the top cut in and down to create the arms.
Using a large circle punch or a cover, trace and cut a portion of a circle for the neck and leg holes.
Use various embossing folders depending on if it's for a girl or boy.

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Trust God Stampin Up set.

7th birthday card

Using the numbers Cuttlebug embossing folder I embossed the main portion of this card.

To make the 7 be prominent I added some SU pearls.
Because I didn't want the front so plain I used the large sentiment from SU Perfectly Penned set and embossed some straight lines to frame it in.
I originally wanted this imaged I colored to be on the front but it would have covered up the 7 (Julia turns 7 on Sunday! ) so I placed it inside.

Hearts of hearts in patchwork

This card was made from a kit which would actually be easy to duplicate.

5" circle card
Strips of patterned paper
Chipboard hearts covered in cardstock
Rub-on or stamped sentiment

I added a metal key charm from my stash and inked all edges.

Happy Easter cross and flower

I've made a similar card years ago, so this year I used a different embossing folder (I think it's made by Darice) .
Created the Cross using the Stampin Up lattice die, and you cut away a portion to create a cross.
Here I've switched up from a violet (deeper purple) flower and a light purple sentiment.
Sentiment from Heaven Blessed SU set.

Leaves and twine

This card is not my traditional one as it's not often I stamp directly on the base, however I really enjoyed the outcome.
This is a set from Stampin Up. The sentiment as well.
Wrapped twine around a torn piece of solid cardstock. Cut out one of the stamped leaves and added random rhinestones here and there. This layout would also make a great masculine card.

Thanks embossed card Sweet and Sleek

I may have posted this card years ago, but came across it in my Thank You card box as I sent this to a dear friend for a beautiful crocheted Angel she made for me. What a sweet surprise.
Here is the card, all items from Stampin Up
Here I embossed one of the accents to the top of the white cardstock
I then embossed the scallop oval and it was adhered to the inside of the embossed accent , added the sentiment on a foam square to raise it up.
Hanging from that is a little jewelry tag that I stamped one of the butterflies.
This is one of my favorite cards that I've designed. Sweet and sleek. :)

Gated Mother's Day card

I bought some new thin dies and made this card for a good friend (last year...just finally posting) .
Downfall with these dies, they are so small and easy to loose.

Graduation card using paint chips

My friend son graduated high school last year and she threw him a party. I looked up what the colors were for that school and used paint chips to use for the pennant.
The tags are punches from Stampin Up in which I layered music sheets and the paint chip tags.
I added film strip die strip in black cardstock to the angled tri-fold card.

Vintage birthday cards

Created these for two birthdays this month for Allison and Jen.
Pattern paper from HOTP, doilies I picked up at Michael's, sentiment from SU and butterflies I punched from a paint chip.
Can't decide which I like better, the stripes horizontal or vertical...

Textured football card

Went to a fabulous 50th birthday party last night and here is the card I made as Kevin is a Patriots fan.
I started out by cutting a football out of printer paper and cutting it in 2 pieces.
Traced it on brown Bazzil card stock and ran it through Bubbles Cuttlebug embossing folder.
On each football piece I used my Crop-a-dial and punched holes with my Crop-a-dial and laced it with 1/8" ribbon.

Gemstone flower birthday card

Using Stampin Up sentiment this became the center of this simple card.
Embossed a layer of white cardstock and added designer series paper to the bottom half.
Mounted that on pink cardstock wrapped in 3/4" yellow ribbon.
Flowers were stamped using the dab and rocked method and manually cut out and raised on foam squares as well as the sentiment.

50 Rocks

This card is for Kevin whose birthday is next week, loved how this card just came together.
Used my new Sizzix die, which I think will be my go to die for masculine cards.
Who doesn't like guitars and music! ?
