Fairy hello

I saw these stamps by StudioG at Michael's craft store on Sunday.
I think they are so cute and immediately stamped the images on Stampin' Up whisper white card stock. Here are a couple I just whipped up right now.
Base CS ran through the Cuttlebug swirl folder
Image punch with Stampin' Up scallop circle and made the petal using Stampin Up small oval punch as well.
Marvy markers used to color the stamp image.

Wedding Card for a friend

Boy - I am overdue in sending this to a long distance friend. I cut the cake from Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and ran the base CS and the cake through the same Cuttlebug folder. (BTW - the cake was cut at 4")
Paper flowers and pearls added as decorative touch.

I used Stampin' Up oval punched to create the monogram frame and ran that through the swiss dot cuttlebug folder as well. I reversed the inner piece for a different effect.
The "E" brad is from Provo Craft. (that is the initial of their last name)

8th Birthday card - Cricut Fairy Request

As a member of the Cricut Card Fairy team, we were asked to send a card to an 8rd old boy.
Here is what I made this morning - Embossed with the CB numbers folder and highlighted with white chalk the # 8. Then cut a piece of white cs and ran that through the happy birthday folder and inked the happy birthday to make it stand out.

I wanted to add something more - hmmm.. not a presant, not balloons - then I remembered I had these cool cars and trucks from Provo Craft dies and ran those through the cuttlebug - made it look like it was monster trucking over the # 8. (is that even a phrase - ha ha ha)

Flower card - Hoppy Spring

I am on a roll tonight - since I bought a new CB folder tonight at ACM and I wanted to make the Wild Card Flower card - one of my fav cuts from Cricut! I just had to make 4 of these cards for my daughter and her BF's to welcome in spring! We had such a long and cold winter - snow almost weekly.

Card cut at 4" from page 56 of the Wild Cart Handbook (Cricut)

Cover run through the birds and swirls Cuttlebug folder

Butterfly from Martha Stewart punch - also run through the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder.

Bunny from Penny Black - colored with my Marvy markers and accented with paper flowers

Hoppy Easter

Once I saw this Sudio G wooden stamp at Michaels I couldn't wait to make cards.
Base ran through the cuttle bug "birds and swirls" embossing folder - (I just bought it tonight at AC Moore for 40% off)

Use the oval coluzzle to add another layer to the front of the card.
Double matted the image which I colored with my Marvy markers - love them!
Sentiment going down the left side - "Hoppy Easter" is from Studio G series 29 set of clear stamps - also bought at ACM for .70!

Inside design, I used the carrot from the same StudioG set as Hoppy Easter, I hand wrote HOP HOP HOP.

Here are the 8 I made tonight to send to kids at college and family.

Dance - mini flip up album

These were made for my daughter and her college dance team, I made 6 of these albums - one for each dancer as a momento. They were wonderful.
The Flip Up Album borrowed from a post I found while blog hopping this weekend, the original post was from a Cricut MBer names AshleeM
The ballet dress - I cut and used netting on the top layer. The pattern was borrowed from Scrapbook etc.
CS used on the dress is from Wassau Glitter papers, the insert of the dress was CB with the swiss dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug. Inked the edges as well.
The Rose is from Indie Art Cricut Cartridge, inked the stem and leaves as well.
The Yellow card stock for the main album is also Wassau Glitter paper
The inner pages for the most part are from a paper club. The last two pagers were stamped from SU swirls
Misc office brads to hold it all together
(Please excuse my fingers in the picture - no other way to take a pic to show the open pages.
Sorry for such a long post.

Cupcake Mini Album

Made this 4 page mini album for my daughter and her friends.
They were on spring break from college and came over to make cupcakes and watch movies.

I used the Wild Card cartridge for the cupcake and the sentiments.
The top of the cupcake - frosting - was run through the Cuttlebug swirls embossing folder and then bushed with ink.
Misc buttons, flower and ribbon from my stash.

(on one of the pages - I put flowers on their faces to protect ID in this post)
This was a lot of fun - designing and using my Cricut and misc items.
TFL!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 8

This week #8 Maria gave us a new challenge for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long
It is to "Create a card by incorporating a scenery design using designer papers."

I thought - how could I do this, I thought of cutting an image from the Cricut... but then I remembered Iris Folding paper technique. I have not done one - but I am on the monthly email list. (You can join at http://www.irishfolding.circleofcrafters.com/ )

I found a sleigh pattern and went to work. Rather fun! (Not bad for my first try)
I first cut the base cover CS with the outline of the sleigh with my x-acto knife. Chose three pp and folded strips of 1 1/2 inches and started the layers pattern.
Then I adhered that to a base red card.

So Maria said, make a scenery.... I found some speckled white cardstock from The Paper Company - tore a strip and ran it through the swirl CB folder. Added some sparkle glitter.

Now for the stamping image - I needed something small... found a set I had from Stampin' Up - "Happy Holidays" punched it out and double layered it using SU dimensional.
Added Martha Stewart branch punch under the sentiment.

Butterfly card - from Indie Art

Base CS was run through the CB swirls folder and inked with purple to bring out the swirls. (The camera picks up more ink than you can see with the eye on the card! Also makes it look blue - perhaps purple and black make blue [giggle])

The butterfly was cut twice using the Idie Art Cricut Cartridge - once in solid purple and swiss dot embossed with the CB folder.

The top wings were cut from DCWV paper. The ribbon is from MS, and the accents - swirls are from a sizzlits. Glitter accents were on the wings and dots.

Indie Art Cheat Sheet

For those who have Cricut Indie Art Cartridge.
I have spent some time - creating this cheat sheet.
To download - right click on the image you see in my blog, save it to your desk top or file. Print from that file. If you try and print from the large view - you will not get the whole image.

You can click on the image - just to view it but it will be difficult to print in without resizing. Your best bet - follow the above directions.

Triangle Easter Cards

I found the directions while browsing blogs the other day. This was show on blog of stampowl. Take a look!
4 inch squares - scored on the diagonal and run through my CB folders. You build the three 4 x 4 pieces into a 3 dimensional triangle. Rather neat!

I chalked and marker the images, used Allene's dimensional glue on certain parts of the images.
I cut the oval with the 5th web of my coluzzle and the Happy Easter sentiment if from StudioG clear stamps at AC Moore.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 7

Week 7 here we come! Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

This week challenge on the Christmas all year long was a DIY - do it yourself. So we had free rein to our own creations and colors!

Here is my entry. Don't think I have ever done a circle Christmas card in red white and blue.Martha Stewart snowflake - with glitter accents. Stamp image is from Stamps Happen, inc. - Joy sentiment from SU. I really like this card!
Oh - I used my coluzzle to cut all paper.

Dance show

My daughter and the dance team at NU is putting on a show on Sunday - I made her this card this morning and sending along a grocery gift card as well.

Can't wait for the show.

This is a card that does not fold traditionally in the middle. Studio G flower border stamp, kitty is from (oops forgot) and the sentiment is cut using the SU scallop circle but just the middle.

St Patrick's Day Cards

I am sending these to the college kids.... I had fun chalking the images and running the card stock through various cuttlebug folders.
