Happy Birthday Spring feel

Well we are finally having some spring type weather this week - suppose to be 50 for Easter weekend and may reach 60 degrees for a day on Monday.

Here is a card I had in my stash that I am sending to my Aunt as her birthday is next month. I got the envelope all labeled and stamped wait for April to begin to mail this card to her.

The layers are as follows
Red square is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"
White base is then 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
The 4 designer series paper quares are punched from a 1 3/8" punch

The diamond (square) red layer is 1 5/8" square then layers with a two stamp flower (which I loath doing these kind of stamping as I can never line of the two stamps!) is a 1 3/8" punch as well.

Rabbit hole Bunny Tail card

I so much wanted to create the bunny jumping into the rabbit hole card, however this weekend was a FAIL!.

This is the best I could come up with before the letter carrier was coming.  After I took the picture, sealed the envelope I forgot to put the little feet pads! Ugh.
Anyways - next year I hope to do better.

I showed the picture of the card to a friend and she could not assertain it was a bunny jumping into a bunny hole. Drats.
However I do like the cottonball tail I did!  However the tail should have been higher. Double drats.
Sentiment, embossing and punches are from Stampin' Up!

Happy 50th Masculine Birthday Card

I needed a male birthday card, and created this tri-panel card.
The first panel has a Happy Birthday Stamp from SU and some cuttings from Tim Holtz on the edge die. All pieces and card was inked with brown StudioG ink.

The next two panels have a pocket - which I made tags to go in which depicts the age of the recipient.
Each tag has a sticker number and has some handwritten sentiment tucked below the pocket view.

I made the banner flag using Stampin' Up flag punch set.
Below the flag is a ticket stamp and punched that says admit one! (also a SU stamp!)

Happy Anniversary double embossing

Took me quite a few tries to get the double embossing down, where you leave a blank spot for an image or sentiment.

Glad to say I think I got it. But not a quick card to make.
You have to cut the cardboard to have the "hole" (see the non embossed area where I stamped).
Then make the correct sandwich for your machine, I have the Big Shot. Then try and get a good impression then go back with the die and then reinforce the blank area. I used all SU products.

Then find a stamp image and hope you get it centered - glad to say I did. Unfortunately I still had to color it. Which is not my forte!

Anyways I am quite pleased with it, and I hope the intended person(s) whomever may receive this enjoys it.

Tri-Fold card

I created this card and video as it's a simple card, but often forgotten as to the WOW effect!.

The stamp set I used is from SU! Click the picture for a close up. The border is punched from Martha Stewart botanical set.
Please watch the video for instructions and welcome your feedback, hope you give it a try!

Joy aperture card

This is another card from Basic Grey Figgy Pudding card set.
The base card measures at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" and is a lovely Christmas deep red cardstock.
The aperture is cut at 2" x 2" to allow the sentiment "Joy" to show through.
The decorative paper has the matching square removed and measures at 4" x 5 3/4"
The holly and berries are chipboard pieces inked and glued to the base of the card.

Beaded Mini Album

Repurposing a pasta box for the base of the mini, it yield a perfect 1 1/2" spine!

Making two signatures from ColorBox textured white card stock, I used jean type thread to bind it to the box. I used some beautiful beads for the spine accent.

I put together a a video for you to see all the pages and the gorgeous spine too!

Noel

Yes it snowed here again! We in New England want to have a bit of true spring opening!!!

I created this card when I made the other set shown here using the Sizzix two step Snowflake #4 die.
This time I mounted it on kraft colored cardstock and inked the edges. The My Minds Eye pattern paper I inked and used the edged of my scissors to distress the layer, I keep forgetting that technique!

This time from the Sizzix sentiment strip, I used the word Noel, also glittered with SU Dazzling Details glitter glue as well as the holly.

Happy Birthday tone card

I received this image in a swap (It was stamped from Fresh Vintage) and ran it through the Sizzix Stampin' Up frame dies.
I stamped the sentiment using the same ink as the light blue SU card stock (even though the picture image looks like it's greenish blue). The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments punched out with a SU punch.
I then mounted the sentiment and image (on foam squares) onto the light blue cardstock sized at 3 1/2" x 4 1/4". Then mounted it again on the dark blue SU card stock at a size of 4" x 5 1/4". You will notice I used the retired SU ticket corner punch to add more details.

With the left over whisper white paper from when I cut out the image, I put it in the inside!!!

Peace

Created this card (actually two of them) last night with a couple Sizzix Dies. We have had such a snowy week with this being the middle of March!!!

I ran the kraft card stock through the cutting plate first to cut the snowflake shape, next I lined it up in the embossing folder that came with the die to get the doily effect. To emphasise the embossing, I ran brown ink over the raised portions.
Mounted it on My Minds Eye light red pattern paper cut at 4 x 5 1/4" then mounted it on black card stock to make this A2 size card.

The sentiment Peace is a long worded Sizzix die and on this set of cards I used the word Peace. (Stay tuned for the ones I used with the another word). I used Stampin' Up Dazzling Details glitter glue on the sentiment (you'll have to click the picture to see it) as well as the holly. The holly is also on the die strip!!! If you click the picture, I hope you can see the inking and the glitter on the holly as well.

Flower card set

I created this card set tonight with minimal effort and love the fact I have a sweet gift set to give or sell!

The base is the standard 4 1/4 x 11" folded at the top.
The colored card stock is at 4 x 5 1/4
The embossed layer (Stampin up) is then cut at 3 3/4 x 5"
Flowers punches from the trio retired SU punch glue dot in place and glitter glue dabbed in the center.
The sentiment and label are also from SU!

Business Size Mini Album

I made this mini album this weekend using My Minds Eye paper stack and junk mail business reply envelopes.

Here is the video with details.
Take 4 business size reply envelopes that were 8 1/2" x 4. I scored each one at 2 1/2" to make two pockets.
Once I covered each envelope, the pull out pocket mat was 8 1/2" 3 3/4" and then scored at 6". I used a deep Martha Stewart border punch to add more details to the page.

The photo mats are 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" inked and used a SU punch as a pull tab. (It's retired punch but the best tab punch out there!
Hope you give it a try!

Joy to the World

I love the colors in this card, warm and gentle.

This is a long card that would fit in a business size envelope. It measures 3 1/2" x 8 3/4".
The next layer is a two tone paper (looks like two layers!) and that measures at 2 7/8" x 8 1/4" which I inked.
The tree is an open cut die cut and matching chipboard piece (all from Basic Grey) which I glued together then inked the edges of the tree.

The sentiment is a rub on "Joy to the World", fabulous easy card!

Poppy Parade Note card

I bought this large stamp while in Florida, it's made by Hero Arts called Tall Birdhouse.

I started with a black base, and then put a layer using an embossed (Cuttlebug) deep pink card stock.

To make the image, I first punched a large circle from a piece of scrap card stock, took SU Poppy Parade ink and gently rubbed ink inside to give it the pink glow.
Glued it to the embossed layer and punched out the fence border which is made my Fiskars.

Stay tune for a different set of cards using this stamp and technique!

The love of a dog

My SIL called to tell me they had to put down their beloved dog of 13 years. My heart goes out to them so I spent a little bit of time tonight and created this card for them.

I had not used my Cricut in so long! But I have Paper Pups and this dog looks like their "Bruiser".
I cut the dog at 3" and the Love dog tag at 1 1/2".

Sweet love for a dear furry family member.

Three dimensional sticker card

I had purchased a strip of these three dimensional stickers from Michael's a couple years ago. So I am using each one as an accent on various cards I am sending this year.

You've seen one on this card, here is a cute bunny hold an egg!

To balance the vertical rectangle, I create a horizontal accent  piece, the pattern paper is from Provo Craft, the yellow bakers twine is from The Twinery and the button is actually a Sizzix die.
It is all mounted on an embossed white card stock from Sizzix.

A Snoopy Easter

I was going through my sorted embellishments (I have them sorted by season and holiday) and came across a pack of Easter Snoopy stickers, they are so cute. But how can I incorporate them into a card.

So I attached them to embossed squares, and I think it came out rather cute!
The center square is raised on foam squares as well as the sentiment. (The sentiment is from SU.)

Snowflakes of winter Peace on Earth

This card is made using more Basic Grey paper from the Figgy Pudding Card kit, however I cut out snowflakes from the 2012 Spellbinders Snowflake series and added gems to the center. The circle in the center is embossed which may be hard to see in the photo.
The sentiment is a rub on "Peace on Earth"

Season's Greeting Ornament Card

Here is another Basic Grey Figgy Pudding Card I created and altered.
I added the embossing to the base card stock for a better definition, I think it lends itself to the pattern paper. Embossing folder by Sizzix.
The top pattern piece is 4 1/8" x 1" which I inked.
The bottom piece I added is 1/2" x 4 1/8" and I used the Season's Greetings rub on.

The ornament is glued, inked and mounted on chipboard attached to the gold cord under the top border.

Doily Note Card Tone on Tone

Love this color! Stampin' Up Purely Pomegranate which I took the large Doily stamp ink and paper of the same color as the back drop to the banners.

This time I used the Typeset print paper, the Pureley Pomegranate and black as accent pieces. Cut from left to rightare these sizes: 1 1/2" x 3 1/8", 1 1/2" x 2 5/8", and 1 1/2" x 2 3/4".
They have a gentle layering effect to the back drop. Oh the cross bar piece is 1/4" x 5 1/2"

I did not put a sentiment on it as I am not sure how I will use this for a specific occasion.
Great note card too.

Fuzzy Mittens card

We are having snow this week so it is only fitting that this card make sense. Another 6 in ches or so they say.
With spring around the corner, the snow is still in the air and on the ground. Mittens are needed for sure!

I made this card tonight with a very old Card Kit I bought years ago! It is the Basic Grey Figgy Pudding Card kit. Faboulous colors just my style.

Here is one, I'll be posting various ones throughout the days ahead.
The base card has a slight texture to it, its a light grey/green color which I inked the edges. The next layer is a pattern paperat 3" x 4 1/8" layers with 2 5/8" x 3 3/4" polka dots.

the mittens are glued, inked onto chipboard and the tops of them have fuzzy fibers too cute!
the cross bar piece at the top is 5/8" x 3 5/8" crumpled a bit and inked then glued in place. I tied some string behind the heart (also inked) to make it appear the mittens are hanging from the heart.

Doily Stamped Birthday Card

Tone on Tone, I am finally using this stamp, it's a large stamp and difficult to hold and clean but I love it just the same. I am finally using it!

I created this and a dozen more in various colors this past weekend. I presented this to Judi for her Birthday on Monday. She is my SU friend/consultant/lead... etc...

The banners are 1/2" x 4" and 1/2" x 3" The sentiment (Teeny Tiny Sentiments) is on two two label punches - love them! (They are on foam squares for demensions but you can't see from the angle of the picture.

I'll show the other colors through out the folowing weeks so you don't get bored :)

Sled winter card

I love this old fashion wooden sled!
I purchased this set from Judi at Stampin' Up and CASE the card from Card with Klass.

I stamped the image in Versafine Black Ink so it would not run when I colored it with my blender pen using the ink from various ink pads, red for the bow and cardinals and brown for the sled.
I made a set of 4 of these and will have a nice stash for the holiday this year!
Inside sentiment not shown also from the stamp set.

Peek-a-boo Easter Card

Here is a sweet Easter card I made for my daughter. Can't believe Easter is so early this year, March 31st.
I cut the aperture using a Spellbinders die and framed it as well. The sweet little yellow chick is a three dimensional sticker. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. The embossing folder is from Sizzix used on the base card

Happy Spring

Well in a couple weeks we'll have Spring and here in New England we can't wait for the clocks to change and the days to be longer.

This card will be mailed in a couple weeks to commemorate that!

I embosed the white base card stock with the lovely flower embossing folder by Sizzix SU, layer and raised the cute bike with the basket and the teeny bunny!
Click the picture for a better view.
Using the same color ink as the paper, I used my blending pen to add the pink to the center.
The bike etc were also colored using my blender pen and ink from ink pads. I'm getting the hang of it!

Male Birthday card

I made this card for my brother who has a birthday coming up in a few weeks.
The background was embossed using the stripes SU Sizzix Embossing folder.
I took varouis designer series paper and made tag and alternated them.
I raised the little pointed flag and the sentiment tag.

The sentiment is from the stamp set Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Easter Children

I made this card for my friend Sue who has two grandchildren, it was the first time I used this stamp set from Stampin' Up even though I've had it for almost a year! I forgot I had it and glad I found it in time!

Using the blender pens I used the ink from the SU ink pads to help me color the children and grass.

I mounted the image on foam squares and Pale Pink card stock.

St Patrick's Day waxed Napkin cards

I made a series of these cards this past weekend where I took St Patrick Day "Irish for the day" napkins and waxed them to cards. All A little different.
They came out cute! I'll be mainling the set to my daughter and her friends in college. I won't bore you with all 6 but here is one of them!
Martha Stewart punch for the white borders and a little foam sticker of a cute frog!

Winter Skate

I was glad I finally picked up my Stampin Up order as I could not wait to make some cards with it.
I know we are almost done with the winter season so I took the opportunity this week to make some cards with the set of stamps!

This I embossed the layer behind the matted stamp image. Making multiples of these made it simple to get a small batch done and saved for next year.
