Birthday Aperture swirl vine accents

Wanted to make a vine like card for my sister's birthday this week.
I cut an aperture with my Circle Scissors and embossed the front of the card.
With a Quikutz thinlets die I die cut random swirls and glued them in place to act as vines for the butterflies.

Inside I layered some very old patterned paper and included one more butterfly and the Tim Holtz happy birthday sentiment die set which i have been using all week!
 Another quick birthday card!

Fall aperture fun card

I used two Spellbinder dies to create the framed aperture.
Using my Crop-a-Dile I punch a hole in the base card and added an eyelet.
I die cut various leaves from Lawn Fawn (I bought this awesome set last year at the expo) and inked and hung it from twine.

Using an old Martha Stewart fence punch I added that to the front and tucked in a little pumpkin from the Elizabeth Craft Designs (bought a few at the Expo last weekend and this little pumpkin was in one of the charm sets). Made two of these quick cards!

God's Beauty

I created this thank you card for my son. He bought me a NIV study bible, it was so thoughtful of him to provide it to me.

I saw a similar card on pinterest and had to make my own version with a twist to it.
I started with the traditional A2 card, then I did not use solid cardstock as seen on Pinterest, but I wanted to ink the 4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock to create a scenery back drop.
I then proceeded to cut the top layer (3 3/4 x 5") with a border of 3/4" to create the window (aperture). This is where the fun begins. I cut out the branches using my Sizzix branch with leaves die (yardsale .25!!), I only needed to cut two and they filled the window cutout perfectly.

I then stamped the sentiment (God's Beauty - Stampin' Up) on the bottom of the top layer. Flip the aperture piece over and strategically glue the branches in place.
All is raise on strips of foam for depth. The card may not show it, you can try and click the picture to see the depth.

Joy aperture card

This is another card from Basic Grey Figgy Pudding card set.
The base card measures at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" and is a lovely Christmas deep red cardstock.
The aperture is cut at 2" x 2" to allow the sentiment "Joy" to show through.
The decorative paper has the matching square removed and measures at 4" x 5 3/4"
The holly and berries are chipboard pieces inked and glued to the base of the card.

Peek-a-boo Easter Card

Here is a sweet Easter card I made for my daughter. Can't believe Easter is so early this year, March 31st.
I cut the aperture using a Spellbinders die and framed it as well. The sweet little yellow chick is a three dimensional sticker. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. The embossing folder is from Sizzix used on the base card

Dream and it shall be

Made this inspirational card for our daughter in college.
I bought the Ancient Chinese Coin stamp at Michael's and cut the font from Blackletter Cricut cartridge at 1".
The odd swirls also cut at 1" from Blackletter.

I cut the aperture with my Coluzzle through three layers of card stock.
The coins took me awhile to figure out what I really wanted to do and how to hang them.
Lots of inking and they are back to back so when you turn the card to read the inside - the coin is a complete double sided coin.

Inside I hand wrote a sentiment to make it more personal.

Card swap entry

I entered a card swap on the Cricut MB. We signed up for a topic and were required to make 16 of the same theme cards. I chosed Happy Birthday - Teen girl.

Here is what I will be mailing to the group.
A2 card in white, CB Happy Birthday and cut at 1 1/2 inch strip or 2 " square.
Mounted using glue dots on pattern paper.
I used CM punch to cut an aperture in the lower right corner. This shows a birthday cake through the front. Inside left blank for new owner to write what they like.
