Trying to get the old time Christmas with a brighter edge, Stamp from Martha Stewart, sentiment from SU, Swirls from (I think K&Co) added glitter and used my coluzzle to cut the circles. Ribbon from Target dollar bin.Added bling to the swirls and the corner - it was lacking something.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 31

This week at CSAYL Sankari's Challenge #31 - Out of the A2 Box! - 08-24-09

You are to make a non A2 card. So I went to my Cricut Joy of the Season cartridge and really wanted to do the train.... and I made it into an ornament card.

Four cuts and one stamping - a little glitter... and I came up with this.

1) Cut the stencil of a train at 5" (green - I cut off the hanger piece)

2) Cut the ornament foundation front card at 5" (black)

3) Cut the card (ornament) full foundation also in 5"

4) Cut Merry Christmas (only used Merry on the inside) at 3"

Sprinkled glitter on top of merry to look like snow.

Added glitter to the ornament hanger.

Stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up on white and punched it out w/a 1" circle and pop dot it on the train.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 28

I love this weeks challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. I did this once at one of my SU stamp camps you should try it. This week we will be in the spotlight for your creativity says Maria! By highlighting a part of our image by stamping it twice and layering it and just coloring the layering portion! I really like this effect. Dramatic! Here's a great Tutorial from Split Coast Stampers to show you how!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 28

This week Debbie's Sketch Challenge #28 - 08-03-09 is for us to try our hands at this sketch.

I had just finished cutting out this coffee/tea cup for another project and thought - hmmm this would make a warm and cozy card.

The cup is cut from Cricut cartridge Graphically Speaking at 3". The steam was cut at 1 1/2"

The sentiment tea bag - is actually a tag stamp from Stampin' Up

The top portion of the card was run through the Victoria Cuttlebug Folder.

Here we are on week 27 - this week we had to have a snowman the focus of our card.
Cuttlebug folders used for the base card as well as the snowman.
I also entered this in the Cuttlebug Spot weekly challenge

Inkadinkado stamps were used for both sentiments and snowflakes inside.
Martha Stewart snowflake punch adorn the front of the card.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 26

At the blog this week Maria's Sketch Challenge #26 - 07-20-2009 gave us a fabulous layout to use. Here is my creation: Stamps used were from Stampin' Up

First layer from the New Cuttlebug Embosing folder called Victoria - it matched my card stock to a "T"!!!! I used Martha Stewart ribbon paper tape for the accent across the piece.

This is what the inside looks like - I may dress it up a bit more - you know glitter or buttons. Wen it is time for me to send this holiday season.

I made myself the patterns/templates so I can easily create it quicker next time. Please click on the pic to see the measurement.

Base card 4 1/2 x 11 (you get two from one 8 1/2 x 11" card stock)
Score base card at 2 3/4" on each end.
When folded will look like shutters....
Next layer piece is 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Oval is cut using my Coluzzle 4th inner web from the oval template.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 25 and Cuttlebug Spot

At the blog of Christmas Stampin All Year Long Challenge we are on week 25. And I didn't realize Cuttlebug Spot

challenge #39 also has a show me the inside challenge. - SO this covered two!

I know personally, I will create the cover and work on the inner at a later date or when I need to mail it.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 24

Over at the the CSAYL blog - this week Vicki's Challenge #24 - The Stampless Challenge! 07/06/2009 - we are to use no ink - what so ever! I thought sure - not a problem, till I wanted to ink my swirls!!!! so I use glue and glitter instead.

Cuttlebug embossing folders used, Joy of The Season Cricut Cartridge used for the polar bear and a misc glitter snow flake sticker adorn the cover.

Since we could not ink a sentiment on the cover - I turned to my Sizzix and cut the JOY and the Love & Cheer.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 23

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long this week challenge is to make a white card, I did one of these a few weeks back (on my own - lol) - so this time I added a splash of color for my base card to match my ink.

The subtle image you see is actually a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.
It may be hard to see - it is a house amongst the snow drift with new fallen snow. click on the pic below to see a close up.

This week was a free for all - but Maria was kind enough to give us a sketch at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

I used Fluffles stamp and colored with my Marvey markers.

Matted it using my Coluzzle. Crimped a piece of the same base cardstock for a little accent and added the sheer red bow.
