Birthday pop up

We are heading out my BIL's today and I was just told it was his birthday 2 weeks ago (10th!). OMG
I must make a birthday book to remember all these birthdays! So after a meeting I had tonight I had to try and make a masculine card.

Here is what i came up and finished at midnight, too tired to post then I am posting now....
Stamp image is from Inkandinkado Illuminata. I used SU ink and ribbon Wild Wasabi on cream colored paper. I wanted something different so I used the highlighted method as seen in the rust colored circles cut from my Coluzzle.

Inside I did a pop up - also stamped in my stash from SU! And ran an embossed border from the clocks Cuttlebug folder
I smashed a bottle cap in my Cuttlebug and proceeded to die cut a circle from my Cuttlebug and stamp a little candle on it. It is suspended off the ribbon by 28 gauge wire.

Mother's Day Lantern

I was asked to make some cards for a friend of mine so that she can give them as a gift to a young man going off to the service. So the next series of cards I'll be creating today are those that I have been asked to do.
I saw this how to on Flowerbug's Inkspot and just had to make the Japanese Lantern.

Rather simple procedure - Cut a 3" circle with my Coluzzle. Stamps the flower image from SU, added some glitter pen highlights. Inked the edges and ran it through the crimper to give it the paper folded effect of a real lantern. Cut two strips of gold glitter cs at 1 1/4" x 1/2". Raised it on foam squared on the red base card with a layer of black CS. I used a MS border punch on the bottom and the inside of the card.

Peace on Earth

I received this lovely stamp set from my Stampin' Up friend/demonstrator on Saturday as a thank you for having a workshop.
I couldn't wait to use it - so when I saw the sketch at "priscillas style" I went to work.

My sister gave me a stack of card stock that has a glossy sheen to it. I stamped the dove and sentiment strategically on it with the Versamark ink. Using Stampendous Sterling Silver embossing power create this simple but elegant card.
The ovals were cut with my Coluzzle. Hard to tell but I raised both ovals on foam squared for double the height.

Bah Humbug - Through the window

As soon as I saw this challenge I seriously got to work at the new challenge at Bah Humbug!
We were to create a window or use a window stamp or image.
I took my Coluzzle circle template and cut a small Circle from the front
Next I cut a larger circle in the second layer.
The third layer show the full element.

Stamps, punch of the ornament and sentiment are from SU!
The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Christmas LO preplanned with the CB

Well - this was fun. Not what I envisioned - but like it just the same. At the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog we were to emboss twice and punch on out layout. Wow - not sure I have ever used my CB on a LO... yet.
Title is by K&Co, Ho Ho ho is a tag from the Cricut Cart Very Merry Tags.

I take a pic of my three children every year in front of the tree - so now I am all set. Just need the pic!
I embossed the background of the photo mat, the tabs (SU!) were embossed with two diff CB folders. One was the countdown to Christmas which I embossed just the 25. The other was the 5 x 7 Ornaments folder and I just embossed the tab with one of the ornaments with a tree.

The lower right needed to balance off from the hanging tag so I embossed an oval (Coluzzle) with a couple folder, Swiss Dots and the Holiday Scene folders too. Whew!

Regal Scene - Cuttlebug Challenge

I tried to duplicate the scene for the challenge - but I do not have those Spellbinders.

I first embossed a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of white core blue cs with the winter scene CB folder and sanded it with my sanding block. I put that aside and cut an oval with my Coluzzle. I cut another frame with my Coluzzle, and used embossing corners from Cb as well. The snowflakes are a MS punch which I added some sparkle bling of rhinestones to the center. This challenge really challenged me and I plan to make one more.

Stampendous card entry

Created this card to enter on the Stampendous Impressions blog. We had to follow the layout below.
I used the Flower Tops clear set as well as the Sentiment wood mount set from Stampendous.
Base card was cut with my Coluzzle and ran through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. The pattern paper is from Provo Crafts. The butterflies is a Sizzix Die from Stampin' Up. The leaves (buttons) are from Jesses James Button Company. Misc rhinestones use on the little butterflies. I added clear embossing liquid to the center of the flowers and took the end of my nail to curl up the petals.

Use this adorable digi from Delightful Inspiration to make this oval card.
Added some ribbon from Target, some Prima flowers and pearls to dress up the card. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

Mother's Day - a flurry of butterflies

I really like how this card came out. It was rather simple but with the challenges I chose to help me complete this card - it went together rather quickly.
(Sorry I photographed it on blue - I couldn't find a good base since the card is cream.)
Base is embossed using birds and swirls Cuttlebug folder
Black oval cut out using my Coluzzle template
Butterflies is a Sizzix die and various rhinestones to add bling!
I put the sentiment inside to keep the front clean. Sentiment by K&CO

Season's Greetings

I recently bought this Sizzix die (snowflake) in the clearance area at Jo-Ann's for 3 dollars!
As I was cutting the package - I saved it and was able to cut two clear snowflakes, one in which I used here on this card and added some Martha Stewart glitter.
I use the layout from Lili of The Valley and the idea from Winter Wonderland blog to emboss, which I did with the base cs with the Cuttlebug D'vine swirls folder and sanded it to give it texture.

Happy Birthday - monochromatic

I made this for my Aunt, whose birthday is this week.

I used the sketch at Die Cuts R Us and the theme at Charisma Cardz Challenge
using this sketch and theme - I was able to make this card very quickly.

Used the new Stampin Up border punch, a sticker that looks like fabric, the sentiment is also from Stampin Up.

Get Well

Made this card for my daughter who has had a head cold for the past few days. Stinks with having a cold, away from home and trying to do well with school. I wish I could be there....

Recycle and item at The Sisterhood of Crafters blog - the funky half circle (cut of with my Coluzzle) is actually a card base instruction from something I got in the mail and could not toss the fab colors and pattern
At Scrappyfrogschallenge we had to pick three elements for our card - I chose: recycle an item, emboss and no coloring
The other repurpose item is the stems and leaves, are actually cardboard from a tissue box - I could not throw away the fab color pattern and made great leave material.
The back ground embossing is the ever famous Cuttlebug embossing Swiss Dot Folder.
At All Sorts challenge blog - we had to use petals and pearls - the petals (flowers and leaves) are a punch and the middle of the flowers are 1/2 glue on pearls

BBtB2 and GS#31 Birthday Card

I love this layout from Get Sketchy that I used for the BBtB2 birthday cake challenge
The cake is cut at 3 1/2" from Designer's Calendar Cricut cartridge as well as the corner sentiment at 1 1/2".
The star is punched from a large Marvy punch, the circle frame is cut using my Coluzzle

Thinking of you

Created this card to send this weekend for the upcoming Easter Holiday buy cutting the little girl from A Child's Year Cricut cartridge. Sentiment from Stampendous and flowers by Prima. I cut the circle with my Coluzzle.
Used the layout from Lili of the Valley and Paper Cutz challenge was no bunnies.

JOY

Used a Child's Year for the children skating, cut the aperture with my Coluzzle and they nestled inside.
I embossed the Martha Stewart snowflakes and the frame using my Cuttlebug embossing folder.
The JOY stamp is from Stampin' Up as well as the punched mat. All mounted on foam squares.
Followed the sketch at Polka Doodles and the theme from CSAYL and card type - aperture at
