Class Project with Elsa

I was excited to attend Elsa's Ustream class last night where we made a min album with a technique she create by taking a 12 x 12 piece of double sided card stock and a few scores with the Martha Stewart scoreboard some folding, a cut here and there - and you create a fabulous flip page for a mini!! We did two last night together and I did one right after.

I proceeded to make my cover after class which I cut from chipboard and covered it as well. I cut my cover pieces at 6 1/2 x 4 1/4". I think Elsa is doing a class in a couple weeks on how to bind it and make the tags. But I went ahead and used my Cinch last night to bind it and will make the tags later.

I have not completed my inner embellishments or the closure - but I think the beauty of the K&Company paper is gorgeous and wanted to show you and Elsa!

This is the cover - that bird is like a suede actually in the card stock! I chose that portion of the 12 x 12 sheet and I think it looks great. I added a border of card stock using a MS punch. Made a medallion from a left over piece of a calendar. Added rhinestones to set of the cover.

Here are the inner pages: (I should try and video with my new Flip I got for Christmas) Sorry this is picture heavy - It has 3 pages (6 sides)and lots of flip up and pockets.

Here is the back paper - so fabulous from K&Company!
When I complete it - I'll show it again!

Thanks for looking and please check out Elsa's blog she is so sweet and her classes are wonderful. Hers it top rate! She explains and actually gives you the measurements and waits for all to catch up!!

Christmas LO preplanned with the CB

Well - this was fun. Not what I envisioned - but like it just the same. At the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog we were to emboss twice and punch on out layout. Wow - not sure I have ever used my CB on a LO... yet.
Title is by K&Co, Ho Ho ho is a tag from the Cricut Cart Very Merry Tags.

I take a pic of my three children every year in front of the tree - so now I am all set. Just need the pic!
I embossed the background of the photo mat, the tabs (SU!) were embossed with two diff CB folders. One was the countdown to Christmas which I embossed just the 25. The other was the 5 x 7 Ornaments folder and I just embossed the tab with one of the ornaments with a tree.

The lower right needed to balance off from the hanging tag so I embossed an oval (Coluzzle) with a couple folder, Swiss Dots and the Holiday Scene folders too. Whew!

Clear card idea from Sentimental Sundays I hope you can see it- the owl and flowers on on the acetate. The back ground paper is from K& Company and the flowers are from Prima

Miss you - side stair step card

Believe it or not - everything except the base card - was already cut and in a pile on my desk. You know ... you punch or cut something ot too many and you leave it in a pile. I vowed tonight to use up what I had all over my craft table. The little girl and puppy and kite - were cut from A Child's year oh ... a couple months ago and was just there waiting to be unburied and be used! I thought why not on a stair step card. Misc punches for the sun (MS), butterflies (SU) sentiment K&Co.
Sending this to my friend in FL.

Owl note card

I tried out the double embossing that Nilda gave us instruction on the Cuttelbug spot blog

Then I took the deboss and used that as my frame for the owl image, to keep with the swirls, I continued with the D'vine Swirl folder and embossed the base card.
Added some Prima flowers and pearls and the cover was done.

The inside I used the swirl stamp from the same set the owl came from, I believe it was from K&Co.

The layout was from Winter Wonderland - I know it's not a Christmas card - but I thought the layout went with the embossing and double de-bossed card.

All that glitters...

....must be Christmas. LOL

At Artsy Fartsy Scraproom GS #10 we were to follow their sketch and at MAF we were to use stamps.
I used Stampin' Up stamp image for the reindeer, glitter embossed him and mounted him on foam squares.
On the back ground of the base card I used K&Co swirl stamps, glittered and embossed as well. (Isn't the swirl wonderful!)

Inside sentiments is cut from A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge at 2". I added white dots with my Signo UniBall white pen also from SU.
