Sign of Spring

This morning I was driving down one of our roads along the way I saw these two swans! Luckily I had my camera and snapped a few pics. Today reached close to 70 here in MA.
I came home, printed the pic and did this layout.
Flowers, title and swirls were used from the Accent Essentials and Cutting Up Cricut cartridges
Flowers are 2 1/2 and 1 1/5, swirls are 1 1/2 font is 1"
Entered this in a few challenges
One at Frosted Designs you had to use flowers
The Pink Elephant - anything spring
And also at Crafty Catz and All Sorts - also spring theme
EDITED: So sorry I forgot to list the whole reason for the layout - I followed at Practical Scrappers - it was a great layout to showcase the pic.

Mini Album

I made this for my daughter who is away at college and wanted her to have a cute mini album of her cat. (I made one for her last year but a diff style).
The pages were cut at 4" from Key # 3c from Accent Essentials. Misc buttons and ribbon scraps were added.
This was a lot of fun - and you can add as much as you want. This is a 6 page album, I used Stampin' Up card stock which is very sturdy.

Thankfulness

I love how this card came out.... I used Accent Essentials cut at 3" which I ran only the botton throught the Autumn Cuttlebug folder.I cut the Pilgrims out of A Child's Year at 3" each and layers and inked.
The background card was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. Added pearls finish it off.
I am enterring this in a few challenges, Cuttlebug Challenges The Cuttlebug Spot Challenge # 55 : Give Thanks and what helped me based my cards was Glue, Scissors, Paper to usse the "top note" cut or die.

Grateful - used ACY

If you look at all the icons on the Cricut cartridge A Child's Year you can get some good cuts and ideas from it.
I cut the Pilgrim hat at 3" - layered to get the black shadow behind it and used my Sakura Glaze pens for the buckle.
I added the "top note" cut from Accent Essentials cart also at 3" to enter my card on Glue, Scissors, Paper and also at Cuttlebug Challenges
Sentiment is from Stampin' Up

I accented the background with the script folder. Added a button and martha Stewart punch.

BBtB challenge - use the snowflake from Accent Essentials and Cuttlebug Spot use your favorite folder.

At Bitten By the Bug Regina challenge us to use key # 13 - the Snowflake from Cricut Cartridge Accent Assentials. And Also at The Cuttlebug Spot you can win the folder by creating a card and finding the blinkies.!!! Go to Challenge #42 : Spot the Cuttelbug Spot: New Cuttlebug Folders
I entered this card as well as since I am in the snowflake mood - this is my "cool" favorite folder to use on Holiday Cards.

I cut Image at 2 1/4" on mettalic board I bought at Michael's in the clearance section. The image as mentioned in the title is from Cricut Cartridge Accent Essentials.

I ran Stampin' Up white card stock through the Cuttlebug Snowflake folder and proceeded to hand cut with an exacto knife different areas of the double folded front panel.
I punch a whole in the card and the snowflake to allow it to hang.

I then cut another snowflake shape this time on the shadow feature and sponged it as a stencil on the envelope and the inside of the card.
The sentiment is from Leave memories.

I had this idea in my head for awhile - was not sure which cut or how it was going to turn out. I am pleased with this.

scrapsketch Week 4 - Rain Rain Go Away

So we have been having rain every week, days and days at a time. We almost expect it to rain. This LO is from 3rd of July where some of our fireworks programs were delayed or postponed.

I used a wonderful sketch from scrapsketch.com designed by July Guest Designer Sketch WEEK 4 .Here is my creation.
I cut the umbrella from Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut Cartridge and the rain drops are actually leaves from Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge with the stems cut off.

Gift Card Wristlet

Went to my sister's graduation last night - I am so proud of her! Going back to school and getting her degree.

I gave her multiple gift cards to various stores and needed a holder for them. Since I had made one like this a couple months back for my Aunt I had 15 mins to spare and created this one.
Accent Essentials cartridge used to cut out the flap, button from my stash, velcro dot for the enclosure and ribbon from Wal-Mart for the handle.

Gift Card Holder -Wristlet style

After 2 hours of practice and creating my directions - I have completed this little wristlet/purse! Just in time - I have to leave at 12:30 for a b-day party.
Some directions were given just weren't making sense in my tired head... so I had to start from scratch! I editted it a little.

Items used:
Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge - image/key #48 (shift)
Crop-a-dile
Card stock from My minds eye - lovely - the inside looks like cloth!
Ribbon from Stampin' up
