Wish

I created this card last night for my daughter who is starting her third and final Clinical for Physical Therapy.
I am very proud of her and hope her next 14 weeks goes well.

I scored using my Martha Stewart Score Board 1/4 inch then two more at 1/8 of an inch on the left fold and the top.
Using a Studio 112 stamp I picked up at JoAnn craft store for .50 I stamped the bird house and the two birds in Stayzon ink.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up 2005 set called Small Script

Trivets

I created these as Christmas gifts for my in-laws.
I bought them from Home Depot in the tile isle.

Stamped on them with the Martha Stewart Butterflies and sprayed seal them with a sealer that goes to 500 degrees.

Added felt squares I picked up from Ocean State Job lot for a quick and fun (useful) gift.

simple thank you

I made this for a friends of mine whom I visited a few days back. I noticed she had a bike like this as a home decoration so I took the opportunity to make a card.

The bottom I first punched a Martha Stewart heart border punch on the white card stock.
Next I cut out the blue Spellbinders scallop octagon and ran that through the fancy swirl Cuttle Bug embossing folder.

Next I had a few of these bikes already cut in black cardstock (see the first card I made with it) so I glued it to the card and added some flat back SU pearls to the bike.
Closed out the design of the card with a little sentiment from SU Teeny Tiny wishes.

Juggling Hearts

Made this cute card for my daughter.
I cut a piece of white cardstock at 4 x 5 1/4" and used my Martha Stewart Diagonal plate in my embossing board to create the lines. Super simple!

The image (with the red card stock) is raised on foam squares. I colored it with my Crayola markers and edged the two white cs layers with my brown ink pad.

The "postage stamp type edging is a new Spellbinders edge die I picked up Monday night at Joann's for 5.00! It comes with three edges, I had fun playing around with the different cuts. This was actually the negative of one of the dies.
Sending this to my daughter today.

4th of July card

With 4th of July coming up real quick, I made this card very late last night.
This is a very old stamp set from Stampin' Up (1999) it was purchased at a consignment store.

A love of bears I have, so I was thrilled to have a couple bear stamps. I colored the image with my SU ink pads and the blender pen.
Embossed the A2 card with the Stars Cuttlebug embossing folder
Cut our the doily from Stampin" Up Sizzix Die
Punch our a flower border with the Martha Stewart doily punch
Raised the image (matted in black cs) using foam.
Mailing this to my daugher today, she's finishing her first clinical at an out patient PT office. She got raved reviews on her performance! Wahoo.

My First Cascade card

I kept seeing these cards and well, I finally broke down and made one.

I did a video so you can see the details.
I used Martha Stewart border punch, the Tim Holtz medallion rosette die and a Sizzix thin die for the swirls.

Easter Paper Doll Card

I had this little girl created and was suppose to put it on a scrapbook page, however I ended up completing this card. I can still remove her if I get around to scrapbooking. ha ha. As she is a lot of work for a card.
I strung punched eggs on embroidery floss to make it look like she is holding them.
The inside which I did not take a picture says Happy Easter from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes. This is the best sentiment set!

Halloween Cards

These were created from my cast off pile, I was able to put together two cards all set for the fall.

The backdrop embossing is actually a snowflake folder, but I thought it lent to a spooky night holding against the full moon. The cat is a Provo Craft die, the set came with lots of halloween dies to cut. Balanced out a border in pale purple using Martha Stewart drippy goo punch. Sentiment from Stampin' Up on both cards.

This second card. I used another Sizzix embossing, again the way we look at a folder and incorporate it can have a whole new purpose.
The ghost is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge cut at 2" I believe.
Finished it off with a wide black border punch from the spider web Martha Stewart border punch.

Happy Retirement

Well another co-worker took the early retirement option at work. They all seem to be taken another opportunity I wish I was able to take. How I envy a person to jump at that chance to shift their life's journey.

It'll be sad to lose another co-worker/friend that made the job bearable. In any event I created this card last night and tried to write my sentiments inside. Didn't help by watching The Final Episode of The Office! I was watching the pre-show and the actors relating the show to the character they played, it was sad and here I was trying to struggle through saying goodbye and goog luck!

The past two weeks have been encompassed with lots of changes in my life as folks move on, move out and graduate. Life is full of changes and growth comes with that.

The card above was embossed using the Sizziz Tim Holtz Postage embossing folder, Martha Stewart border punch on a strip of card stock (2 3/4" x 4 1/4") for an accent layer for the Stampin' Up sentiment (Teeny Tiny Wishes). Both the embossing and the sentiment pieces were inked for details.

Happy Friday!

Get Well Wishes

A couple of my friends have family members who have very ill. I created two of these cards last evening and truly hope for good results.

The embossing is a Tim Holtz embossing folder with a compass image; embossed on whisper white card stock.
The sprig of leaves is a Sizzix die I got from a yard sale a couple weeks ago for .25!!
The bird is from Stampin' Up (raised on foam squares) as well as the sentiment.
The border is a punch from Martha Stewart.

Santa and girl silhouette card

Silhouette of Santa and a little girl is cut from A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge, I believe 3/5".
The following items were also in my "cast off container" and I was able to put this sweet card together.
I chose a black card stock base and ran it through the Snowflake Sizzix Stampin' Up embossing folder. (You may have to click the picture to see the embossing.
Thre three silver snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

For You Bird cage card

I sent a RAK to Lisa and Yolanda where I stamped a lot of Stampin' Up Tags as they do so much tag creations on you tube.

To go long with the various tags I created this card.
Base card was corner edges and run through the swirl cuttlebug folder and inked to bring out the details.
Next I punched a border using a Martha Stewart border punch.

Mounted a bird cage and bird from a Sizzix Tim Holtz die and finished it off with a for you tag from Stampin' Up.

Business Size Mini Album

I made this mini album this weekend using My Minds Eye paper stack and junk mail business reply envelopes.

Here is the video with details.
Take 4 business size reply envelopes that were 8 1/2" x 4. I scored each one at 2 1/2" to make two pockets.
Once I covered each envelope, the pull out pocket mat was 8 1/2" 3 3/4" and then scored at 6". I used a deep Martha Stewart border punch to add more details to the page.

The photo mats are 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" inked and used a SU punch as a pull tab. (It's retired punch but the best tab punch out there!
Hope you give it a try!

Graduation Card for a friend

Here is a card I made using the paper doilies I picked up at a store, there were 30 in a pack and a perfect size for card. Pairing it with a couple Sizzix embossing folders (background and the butterfly). Also used Stampin' Up punches and a Teeny Tiny Sentiment, I got to use up some scraps (I have my scraps sorted by color in file folders) to complete this card.

Finished off the butterfly with some flat back pearls. The border is a Martha Stewart punch to go with the lace doily theme. Quick card to pull together.

Paper Mache Box - tissue paper and beeswax

Ooohhh I love how this box came out. Using Beeswax and Tissue paper from Michael's I attached strips and ovals of the tissue paper to the box. Made a rossette and hot glued it to the top of the box.
Added flat back pearls to the key and the box cover lip.
All items I bought from Michael's craft store.

Please enjoy this video!

Valentine's Card using a scrabble tile

I love this simple household items card I made for my daughter. I'm going to add a Dunkin' Donuts gift card to it.

The lace border is a Martha Stewart border punch.
The inside heart stamp is from the dollar bin at Micahels I believe.
I used a couple regular paper doilies, a scrabble tile and pearls. The scrabble tile had the 4 on it per the game design so I add the "1" to make it reference to February 14th.

Favorite Wax napkin card

Hi all, as mentioned yesterday I had created three cards earlier and this one is my favorite. I sent this to my daughter for her weekly (almost) card that I send to her.

These beautiful images are from a napkin which I waxed to the card front layer. Added more dimension with the butterfly and rhinestones and glitter glue.
The border punch is from Martha Stewart. I learned this wax napkin technique from my friend Sue, please visit her on her new blog!

Vintage note card

Using the same elelments as my friend to friend card, I changed up the size and layout a bit by using the foiled ebossed card that I picked up at the florist. It matched my card very welll and it added a little glitz as well. This has no sentiment as it is intended to be a note card.
I used the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder to emboss the layer that the butterfly (Martha Stewart) was cut from
then put back on. The next layerwas border punch with Hearts punch also by Martha. Next was the note card from the florist (click the pic and hope you can see the beautiful artwork) next layer I used the old ticket punch from Stampin' Up.
