Halloween Cards

These were created from my cast off pile, I was able to put together two cards all set for the fall.

The backdrop embossing is actually a snowflake folder, but I thought it lent to a spooky night holding against the full moon. The cat is a Provo Craft die, the set came with lots of halloween dies to cut. Balanced out a border in pale purple using Martha Stewart drippy goo punch. Sentiment from Stampin' Up on both cards.

This second card. I used another Sizzix embossing, again the way we look at a folder and incorporate it can have a whole new purpose.
The ghost is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge cut at 2" I believe.
Finished it off with a wide black border punch from the spider web Martha Stewart border punch.

Autumn banner

Made this for my daughter, this completes the season banners for her.
Here is how I made it - I cut 4 x 4 pieces of cardboard from a USPS box I got in the mail.
Punched the holes in the pieces with my crop-a-dial.
Inked all the edges then proceeded to look at my carts for autumn items.
The font I cut the regular and shadow at 1 1/2" from Storybook (Thank you Audrey) and put that aside.
The elements were cut from the following:
A - The apples were cut from Doodlecharms at 2 1/4 and 1 3/4" page 118 key #37
U - The basket was cut from Doodlecharms at 2 1/4" Key #35
T - the leaves were cut from Doodlecharms at 1 1/2" key #34
U - the Pumpkins were cut from A Child's Year page 52
M - The ghost was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up at 1 1/2" 2 3/4", and 3" and the spiders were cut from Designer Calendar page 48 at 1 1/4" and 1 3/4"
N - The turkey was cut from Designer Calendar as well as the Pilgrim hat pg 38

Entering this at Paper Playtime autumn challenge - I just love this time of year here in New England!

Easter doll card

Here is another in my series, the doll is made from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge cut at 4" the inside sentiment is from the Designer calendar Cricut cartridge cut at 1". I like the script on this saying, it allowed me to place in a curve.

I also used StudioG Flocking. this is the first time I used flocking. Placed it on the bunny slipper tails and the ears of the little girls hat.
I am entering this in a couple challenges, one at The Pink Elephant in which I used their layout and at Crafty Catz we had to use a fancy edge and a ribbon. The fancy edge is the Martha Stewart loop punch and the ribbon is the multi string like ribbon I bought at Michael's.

St Patrick's Day doll card

This is the first in a series that I would like to make for the different holiday's. Each doll will be holding a string that has the corresponding event or season. I thought this would be fun to do.
(Sure I missed Valentine's Day - but I can still make it up - ha ha.)

The doll is cut from Paper Doll Dress Cricut cartridge at 4"
the inside sentiment was cut at 2" using the Designer Calendar Cricut cartridge as well as the shamrock on his hat and inside.

He has a lot of piece and layers so I made two at a time for another card or LO.

Celebrate Family

I am pre-planning a double layout for Thanksgiving. Wow - will be great - snap a couple pictures for each side of the layouts and pop them in and be done! No delay.
To help me accomplish this I use the sketch at Scrap sketch blog, At Crafty Catz we had to use the word Celebrate amd at Bitten By The Bug we had to use the cornucopia cut on PDDU Cricut Cartridge.
Here is the double page LO I did.
Here is a close up of the pages.
Data:
Pilgrim man - 3", Pilgrim female 2 3/4", Turkey on plate 3" (yes 3 inches), apple pie (which I'll be making 3 of them!) also cut at 3". Cornucopia cut at 3 and the fruit cut multiple items. All inked. I cut the green circle using my Coluzzle. The little scallops are actually Creative Memories mini cual circle punch. The glitter strips are from HSN. Oh yes, the Title is cut using the font (my fav) from A Child's year cut at 2".

I cut the card at 4 1/2" on blackout from Wild Card, the hat and musket are cut at 2" from, PDDU and Happy Thanksgiving is cut at 3" from Wild card Cricut cartridge.
I inked a little and hand cut the belt and buckle.

Mayflower thanks

I made this for The Pink Elephant challenge #41 to use this shape - I just so happen to have Wild Card Cricut cartridge and cut this at 4 1/2.

The Ship is cut at 3" from PPDU. Happy Thanksgiving is from Wild Card cut at 3"
I tore blue paper to resemble water.
Inked and doodled and raised the ship on foam squares.

Gobble Gobble

We had to use an animal on a card at Just Buggin' so I chose the turkeys on PPDU cartridge. The card is cut at 4 1/4. The turkeys were cut at 2 and 1 1/2 I believe.

We also were asked to use grass on Walk In My Garden which I cut at 1" for BBtB challenge
so I am entering this into 2 challenges

The leaves is a punch I had. Oh - the base card was cut at 4 1/4" from Wildcard cartridge.
Inside is also decorated - will post later

Trick or Treat

Here is another entry for me at TCP Challenge #2: Coffee Filters
Use coffee filters. I cut a long strip from the filter I used in the card below and wrapped it around a piece of white card stock.
I glue on two large wiggly eyes and mounted on purple card stock that was embossed with The Cuttlebug Harlequin folder. The fence was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge at 4". I cut two pieces of brown cardstock and crumpled and inked them to look like a house shutters.

The tiny sentiments are from Studio G perfect for me to add to the fence.close up of the fence

Paper doll swap on Cricut MB

These are the items I made for the paper doll swap. We were to choose a figure from the cart. I chose the holiday group, and picked the ghost (4").
Because he was relatively easy to make - I made a fence (4") for each in my group. (group 3) (You will get two separate pieces)
The crow was cut at 2 1/2" and the spider at 1 1/2"

Don't they look great together for a LO or a card!

scrapsketch Week 4 - Rain Rain Go Away

So we have been having rain every week, days and days at a time. We almost expect it to rain. This LO is from 3rd of July where some of our fireworks programs were delayed or postponed.

I used a wonderful sketch from scrapsketch.com designed by July Guest Designer Sketch WEEK 4 .Here is my creation.
I cut the umbrella from Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut Cartridge and the rain drops are actually leaves from Accent Essentials Cricut Cartridge with the stems cut off.

Secret Camper - gift

My daughter is a camp counselor at a local camp this summer. Each is paired with a "secret" buddy and they are to give small gifts similar to a secret sister. I think this is a great idea, since they are spending time away from home for long periods of time.

My daughter's "buddy" loves horses and has a white horse name Love. She created these couple gifts to give to her.

The frame is an 8 x 10" standard picture frame. The horse was cut at 4 1/2" real dial size from Cricut cartridge "Paper Doll Dress Ups". The word love is actually from Cricut cartridge Wild Card "love post" where she cut off the word post.

She made a matching photo book cover as well for her buddie to store her favorite 4 x 6 pics in.

March Tissue Box Cover

Here are the completed sides for the tissue box cover for March.
I usually do a whole month on 4 sides of one cover of a boutique tissue box, but decided to use two sides per month.
Had fun using PDDU Cricut cartridge. It was my first cut - leprecan from page 40, pot of gold and I hand cut the rainbow. Coins were used from a punch that I inked to make them look gold in color. Shamrocks also on page 40. Hope you like. Close up of pot and coins
