Embossing is the hearts folder by Cuttlebug
Layout I used is from Scrap Pile Saturday in which we have to use all scraps except the base card.
The color theme is Aqua from The Pink Elephant - TPE64
and at Fantabulous Cricut make a mother's day card. This card is for my oldest sister.

Season's Greetings

I recently bought this Sizzix die (snowflake) in the clearance area at Jo-Ann's for 3 dollars!
As I was cutting the package - I saved it and was able to cut two clear snowflakes, one in which I used here on this card and added some Martha Stewart glitter.
I use the layout from Lili of The Valley and the idea from Winter Wonderland blog to emboss, which I did with the base cs with the Cuttlebug D'vine swirls folder and sanded it to give it texture.
Close up of the re-cycled plastic packaging item (for the challenge at Cuttlebug Challenges) and of the embossing:

a very merry Christmas

How many weeks till Christmas? Gotcha.... just my weekly Christmas card to be prepared as I make around 80 each year.

This card is for a few challenges:
ABC Christmas Challenge - H is for Holly

CSAYL - use die cuts - the top layer and the rectangle
Crafty Catz use red green and a punch - the holly is actually a Cricut cut from A Child's Year cartridge
Quixotic Challenge - to use metal - I used the turns and and the brads from Stampin' Up hodgepodge hardware kit

Distressed memo board and card set

Made this at Spring Fling and it was my fav project. Love the Stampin' Up stencils!!!
We first inked the background with a roller stamp and then layered the cardboard scallop circle, distressed it with ink and a sanding block. Made a matching card as well.

I didn't put the sentiment on it yet as I am not sure who will be getting this set.

Get Well

Made this card for my daughter who has had a head cold for the past few days. Stinks with having a cold, away from home and trying to do well with school. I wish I could be there....
This goes with a few challenges:
SPS - Scrap Pile Saturday - for the layout
Recycle and item at The Sisterhood of Crafters blog - the funky half circle (cut of with my Coluzzle) is actually a card base instruction from something I got in the mail and could not toss the fab colors and pattern
At Scrappyfrogschallenge we had to pick three elements for our card - I chose: recycle an item, emboss and no coloring
The other repurpose item is the stems and leaves, are actually cardboard from a tissue box - I could not throw away the fab color pattern and made great leave material.
The back ground embossing is the ever famous Cuttlebug embossing Swiss Dot Folder.
At All Sorts challenge blog - we had to use petals and pearls - the petals (flowers and leaves) are a punch and the middle of the flowers are 1/2 glue on pearls
And at my new found following at PIO - Say it with Words
