deck the halls

Edited: On Sunday. I wasn't happy with the card below -so I added 2 loops of red ribbon. This is to tie in the holly berries and fill in the empty space. See the after card.

Created this card using the sketch at Allsorts.
Since my card was not a square - I was able to get two rows of 3 instead of 3 rows of 3.
I ran the squares through the Allegra Music embossing folder to mimic music sheet to go with the song "deck the halls with boughs of holly".
I punched the branches using the Martha Stewart punch to make a little gathering of holly. And added a few near the sentiment. I computer generated the text and use SU punches to mount it on foam tape.

Sweet Day

Made this for a request at Dustin Pike's blog for a young lady who was just diagnosed with MS.

I am entering this into the strawberry and cream challenge at Allsorts blog. And a feminine card challenge at Paper Garden.
I cut the strawberry from Indie art at 2 1/2". Added glitter to the strawberry and to the top layer of the Prima flower. Border punch from SU as well as the DSP for the strawberry.

happy thoughts

So I took the 30 min card challenge at Maria SPS - and it took me a little bit more than 30 mins (40 mins). Everything but the base card is from my scrap bin!
I used the wax paper technique - on the glossy paper which has the Cuttlebug swirls on it (so sorry hard to see the swirls - click the pics for a better view).

The little piggy is from The Greeting Farm
The white border (again hard to see - poor lighting this morning as it is overcast) is from Martha Stewart.
Strung a little bitty clear acrylic SU button with black DMC floss. This card goes with a few challenge - The Sisterhood of Crafters to try the resist wax technique
Color Theme of black and white and one other color (pink is what I chose) at Allsorts
and to use acrylic Practical Scrappers - it's like adding a secret element!

Allsorts and 2 Cute Rubber Stamps

I made these for my kids and husband for Easter. They are filled all sorts of chocolates.
At Allsorts - we had to alter something, these boxes are sturdy and are great gift boxes too so I covered a macaroni and cheese box and added this adorable free digi from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps
I used Liquid Embossing clear gloss finish on the lollipops, you may have to click on the picture to see the gloss.

Swirls and Pearls

At Allsorts blog we were challenged to use swirls and pearls. My favorite accent items.

Here is a digi of Retro Bonnie all decked out a Cuttlebug D'Vine swirl embossing folder, then mounted on a crimped blue frame. I added pearls and a sheer Stampin' Up ribbon to complete this adorable but quick card.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

I made this card for two challenges one at All Sorts week 28 and also for Pollycraft Monday Challenge #29.
At Pollycraft we had to use a portion of a Christmas song, to help me with this I used two Cuttlebug folders - the Allegra (music) folder to emboss the red card stock, and the snowy image is also from the Cuttlebug folder which I cut in three pieces for more effects.
I inked and raides on foam dots, added the Martha Stewart snowflakes with mini brads from Michael's.
The sentiment is computer generated using Microsoft font called Monotype Corsiva at 18pt bolded.
