Believe
This was fun - putting this together I enjoyed the outcome even though as I went along did not know the final finish.... would be.
I kept it simple by using the sketch from Clean & Simple, CSAYL wanted metallic - so I added the snowflake which I make go back and distress to go along with the rest of the vintage feel as requested by Winter Wonderland. (I missed it by a few hours - that's ok I love vintage cards) The color scheme of black, gray and old olive was from ScrapMaster Paradise.
The swirl stamp is from SU in which I used the Versamark ink pad and the perfect pearls again love it as it adds shimmer. The border punch is from MS and you can see some dry embossing with the CB underneath on the black paper.
On the gray paper - I inked the edges with my dark brown Color box chalk ink and did the negative effect of the word believe.
Simple but I think I like it!

Products used SU! stamps and most card stock
The holder was made from DCWV cs
The Ribbon is from Wal-Mart
The snowflake is a MS punch
The trees are a CB die and embossing set.

Vintage Christmas card
At Christmas Stampin All Year Long - this weeks challenge was to go Vintage.
The image is from Google, the embossing on the base card was sanded (Cuttlebug folder) the sentiment is a stamp from Inkadinkado.
The lace is from a spool I had from Jo-Ann's and the buttons are truly vintage. Take a look at the two on the right - those are wooden buttons. (I even left the vintage thread in one of them) I got them in a yard sale last year.
I am entering this in at CSAYL and Sunday Sketch and Stamp

Merry Christmas - mask stamping technique
At Christmas Stampin' All year Long - we had to create a scene.
So I took to my K&Co stamps and first stamped the center snowman in Pacific Point Stampin' Up ink. I then created a mask of the same image on a post it note. Cut around the image as close as I could and then put it on top of the first image and left it there. Took the same stamp and continued to stamp two more snowman in Purely Pomegranate and Baja Breeze.
Added sentiment, masked it, so I could add snowflakes all around and not disturb the true image.
Added rhinestones to the snowflakes. Pretty neat!

Jingle Jingle jingle LO for 2009 Holiday Season
Ohhh... I am psyched, I got one pre-LO completed by using two challenges.
1) I used Sankari's Non-Traditional Colors Challenge #35 - 09-21-09 at Christmas Stampin' All Year long. This week Maria gave us a sketch and in which I used it for a LO because at Practical Scrappers blog This week's challenge is Felt
So I dug through my stuff and found Martha Stewart snowflake felt border that I picked up last year.. so with it prompted me to look at Maria card sketch as a LO So that I can use it for the family pic I take every Christmas day. The stamp is from a dollar bin at Michael's a few years ago and I used the new Sizzix Embossing folder where the pic will go.
Yahooo!
Here is the LO is followed.

We had to use non traditional Christmas colors - no red, blue or green at CSAYL and at Practical Scrappers we had to use felt.
Click the pic for a better view of the felt and embossing and stamping!!!

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 32
Vicki's Challenge #32 Traditional Christmas Colours - we are to use red, green and gold.
Since last week card that I had created I used the negative of the train I had cut, the left over train pieces were sitting on my work table and thought - why have it go to waste. This week is red and green challenge I can use the train since it was already cut in green.... from there I used the card LO we were given has a helpful guide to this weeks Christmas Stampin All Year Long.
I flipped and turned it.
Train tracks is a Sizzix die ut from gold speckled cd.

The JOY is a stamp from Stampin' Up I cut apart and layered on the left over pieces that popped out from the film strips. Mounted and raised on foam dots.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 31
This week at CSAYL Sankari's Challenge #31 - Out of the A2 Box! - 08-24-09
You are to make a non A2 card. So I went to my Cricut Joy of the Season cartridge and really wanted to do the train.... and I made it into an ornament card.
Four cuts and one stamping - a little glitter... and I came up with this.
1) Cut the stencil of a train at 5" (green - I cut off the hanger piece)
2) Cut the ornament foundation front card at 5" (black)
3) Cut the card (ornament) full foundation also in 5"
4) Cut Merry Christmas (only used Merry on the inside) at 3"
Sprinkled glitter on top of merry to look like snow.
Added glitter to the ornament hanger.
Stamped the sentiment from Stampin' Up on white and punched it out w/a 1" circle and pop dot it on the train.

Cuttlebug Challenge Blog and CSAYL #30
I combined two challenges into one.
Over at Cuttlebug Challenge blog - Sue used a soda can that she cut down and ran it through her Cuttlebug machine. I grab a Sprite can I had and proceeded to use Maria's card Layout challenge for week 30

I used snowflake Cuttlebug folder on the tin, cut out a separate cover to protect the sharp sides. Coluzzle template used to cut ovals in the cover.
Stampin up stamp and ribbon used as well as Martha Stewart snowflake cut from prism.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 28
I love this weeks challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. I did this once at one of my SU stamp camps you should try it. This week we will be in the spotlight for your creativity says Maria! By highlighting a part of our image by stamping it twice and layering it and just coloring the layering portion! I really like this effect. Dramatic! Here's a great Tutorial from Split Coast Stampers to show you how!
Give it a try!
Here is my entry:
I used the Cuttlebug Herringbone embossing folder to add detail to the base card

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 26
At the blog this week Maria's Sketch Challenge #26 - 07-20-2009 gave us a fabulous layout to use. Here is my creation: Stamps used were from Stampin' Up

First layer from the New Cuttlebug Embosing folder called Victoria - it matched my card stock to a "T"!!!! I used Martha Stewart ribbon paper tape for the accent across the piece.

This is what the inside looks like - I may dress it up a bit more - you know glitter or buttons. Wen it is time for me to send this holiday season.

I made myself the patterns/templates so I can easily create it quicker next time. Please click on the pic to see the measurement.

Base card 4 1/2 x 11 (you get two from one 8 1/2 x 11" card stock)
Score base card at 2 3/4" on each end.
When folded will look like shutters....
Next layer piece is 4 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Oval is cut using my Coluzzle 4th inner web from the oval template.
