Card Swap

Here is a set of 12 card fronts I made for a card swap.
We were to primarily use Stampin' Up Products and it had to be at least two layers.
That I accomplished no problem!
It's a standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base, with an embossed layer of white card stock.

The happy birthday sentiment is on 4 layers of card stock. The butterfly punch is layered above the pattern paper.

Very Thankful

I needed to make some thank you cards and when I saw this sketch at Create4Fun Challenge - week 46 it was pefect to get me to complete them.
I will be making 7 of these all a little different but here is 4 so far.
The base cs and image is from Stampin' Up. The accent cs is from DCWV.
I added a mini brad to the wheel on the wheelbarrow. (love the mini brads! so tiny and cute)
Image is raised on pop dots and mounted on diff Cuttlebug folders.

Greetings from the Northpole

Hot Cocoa anyone?!
Here is a combo card. I call it that becasue I used premade die cuts on my hand made card.
The penguin and cocoa stand are from Paper Magic and the rest is designed around the images.

The snow is blue paper run through the Cutlebug snowflake embossing folder and sanded to show the white core. The sentiment and tree stamps are from Inkadinkado.

I am enterring this into two challenges. One at Charisma Cardz Challenge #45 and the other is white core or color core effect at Practical Scrappers

MAF - to use the sketch below

Thanksgiving card

Here is a card in which I used Stampin' stamps. By using a multitude of inks in a range of colors to create the realism of the leaf, I like the results
The sentiment was embossed.
Instead of ribbon - I stamped the paper and cut it into strips and slid it through the slit punch.

Wrap Around Halloween Card

Edited on 8-31-09 to add this was entered in Challenge 1- "Anything Halloween" at Glue, Scissors, Paper. 2 more months till Halloween!

This card was cut from Wild Card Cricut cartridge at 4 1/4 multiple times.
What a wrap around card is one that tells a story all the way around or that all sides continue the theme.

In this case two cards in one!

Cuttlebug Challenge Blog and CSAYL #30

I combined two challenges into one.
Over at Cuttlebug Challenge blog - Sue used a soda can that she cut down and ran it through her Cuttlebug machine. I grab a Sprite can I had and proceeded to use Maria's card Layout challenge for week 30

I used snowflake Cuttlebug folder on the tin, cut out a separate cover to protect the sharp sides. Coluzzle template used to cut ovals in the cover.
Stampin up stamp and ribbon used as well as Martha Stewart snowflake cut from prism.

BBtB challenge - use scallop from Celebrations

Regina gave us a challenge to use the scallop from the Celebrations cart.
I cut one at real dial 2"
I inked and turned it on it's diagonal as the icon accent (cupcake)
The base of my card was using the Journaling embossing folder by Cuttlebug.

Paper Cutz Challenge #4 - Halloween card with no black or orange

This week at Paper Cutz Challenge # 4
We could not use orange and black on a Halloween Card. So what's the next best? Purple and white!
Here is my creation:

BBtB challenge - use a school theme cut

This was perfect as I was already in the creation stage of my good luck back to school cards. When Regina at Bitten By The Bug challenged us to cut a school image from any Cricut Cartridge.
This is what I chosed:
The pencil is cut from Locker Talk Cricut Cartridge at 2"
I create the sheep using Stampin' Up punches
The grass is a 1 1/8" piece run through the Herringbone Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

MoJo Monday 98

Stampin' Up stamps used as well as the Baja Breeze card stock and sheer ribbon.
Cuttlebug - Herringbone folder used under the gold glitter CS layer

Get Well Soon - card inspired by MBer

My dad is not feeling well, and he loves flowers and his garden. I admired a fellow MBer on the cricut web site (dj1952) and how she did her card.
This is one of the main reasons I bought the Walk in My Garden Cricut Cartridge!
So I set out this morning to cut and ink and piece together.
Wheelbarrow cut at 2",flowers 2 1/2 in 2 diff colors
Seed packet cut at three (shift) (The heart is a tiny paper punch)
Sign post (non shift) also cut at 3

INSIDE of card:
Watering can cut at 1 1/4"

Happy 60 Birthday card - pinwheel card

I went to a 60th Birthday dinner last night. This is the card I made for my co-worker.
I used the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge and the base cut was cut at 6" on black out
the wheel was cut leaving it also at 6" and inserted a brad.
The 6 and Another Birthday also cut from the same cartridge.
I decided to use the circle in the card to represent the zero.
As you rorate the spinner, it says " Happy" "Birthday" "to" "You" and "Many" More"

Happy Birthday - with Victoria and Stampin' Up

This was a quick card to make, I used the butterfly from Stampin' Up and ran the base card through the new Cuttlebug Victoria Folder.
The label on the bottom is also a new punch by Stampin' Up which I used a double slotted punch I bought at Michael's to then weave through a paper strip I had in my scrap pile.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is an adhesive clear sticker.

Last BLOG hop creation - The Cuttlebug Spot

The last technique I saw while blog hopping last night was a layer that was embossed and then an oval embossed, I took it one step further by sanding off the layers so the Victoria (love it) Cuttlebug embossing folder can be seen. Then I crinkled the oval to give it an old feel.
I am a lover of pink and this was perfect with my piece of scrap card stock.
I will hate to give this card away. hee hee
Added flower and rhinestones, sheer ribbon and the Fairy image is from StudioG.

Inside sentiment (also from my scrap bin) is from cricut - perhaps Wild Card cartridge.

Herringbone folder and Cuttlebug Challenge #40

I was blog hopping tonight after making the card below, and came upon Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot and after cleaning my scrap/craft corner this past week I vowed to use my scraps on future cards. Oh my gosh! I have so many scrap pieces. I sorted them by color and boy was there a lot to use on future creations.
To go along with the challenge - we had to use the layout provided - here is what I created using the new Herringbone folder.

The three hearts are a Stampin' Up punch and I ran them through a CB folder and inked them.
The fiber is from Colorbok called sticky stitches.

Stampin' Up ticket punch used in the corner and rhinestones by Recollections as well.
The sentiment is cut from a Cricut cartridge - also in my "scrap pile"
