Graduation card using Wild Card Cricut Cartridge

Well - I wanted to make a wild fun Graduation card for my son who graduated Thursday.
I cut the cap from Wild Card Cricut Cartridge at 8", cut the "Class of" at 7" and the 2013 at 2".. yes weird but that Provo Craft for ya!

I cut the gold, black and green stars from a Sizzix die (school colors green and gold). Sorry the gold and one of the green stars look weird in color tone. The gold is metallic card stock so I assume the flash played off of that at such a late hour of the night (un-natural lighting)

Congrats Rob!

Graduation Invites

I needed to make these quickly and went to work with my Cricut to help me out. Tuesday night I managed to get 10 completed and mailed on Tuesday and Wednesday and I have 10 more to make to give to my son.

I cut the Graduation Caps at 2 inches from the A Child's Year cartridge (raised on foam squares) and the word You're Invited (key #6) from Wild Card at 5". Which is deceiving because it is so small but I lucked out as it fit perfect on the banner!

I have to make more - this time I am cutting the sentiment from vinyl as it will be easier to remove than those darn little pieces from the center and around the words! Stay tune for a "second" look.

Mounted it on a white banner which was cut from a Sizzix (SU! retired) die and onto red cardstock, corner punched with also a retired SU! corner punch, one of my favorite for a more elegant formal look than the traditional square or rounded corners.

Friendship

It was Friendship day on Sunday and sister day on Monday so I am late in sending these cards (I have three sisters) so because I awoke at 5AM this morning I thought I better get the three cards done and mail them today. Nether the less they will be surprised to get them I am sure.

Here is one for a sister who likes purple.
Entering this in the CRAFTS AND ME challenge of purple and green and the challenge of using peridot at Daring Cardmakers

Well - I'll be leaving in an hour and Wild Card cart to the rescue
Quick and easy.
Keep in mind this cuts small!!!
Set it at 5" and the sentiment at 1 1/2". I inked all to give more definition and added a brad to hold the tassel in place.

Happy Anniversary

Made this for an up coming anniversary (not mine) and used the Wild Card Cricut cartridge for all the hearts.
Don't you love the little pocket! The cute tag is also on Wild Card cart (heart card page 67) I just cut a strip of paper rounded the corners and used two eyelets to make a pocket - ribbon through the eyelets for a little dimension. This element helped me also enter the card on Quixotic challenge "Tag it". All the hearts are raised on foam squares.

The back ground white card is stamped and embossed with embossing powder and heat gun.
I was inspired by the challenge at BBtB2 - become a follower today they have great ideas and challenges!
Also entering this at Daring Cardmakers - put hearts on a project for their Have a Heart challenge
MS glitter and pearls as well added for bling.

A hunting for a turkey....

Well you can use your imagination :^).
I cut the card at 4 1/2" on blackout from Wild Card, the hat and musket are cut at 2" from, PDDU and Happy Thanksgiving is cut at 3" from Wild card Cricut cartridge.
I inked a little and hand cut the belt and buckle.

Mayflower thanks

I made this for The Pink Elephant challenge #41 to use this shape - I just so happen to have Wild Card Cricut cartridge and cut this at 4 1/2.

The Ship is cut at 3" from PPDU. Happy Thanksgiving is from Wild Card cut at 3"
I tore blue paper to resemble water.
Inked and doodled and raised the ship on foam squares.

Gobble Gobble

We had to use an animal on a card at Just Buggin' so I chose the turkeys on PPDU cartridge. The card is cut at 4 1/4. The turkeys were cut at 2 and 1 1/2 I believe.

We also were asked to use grass on Walk In My Garden which I cut at 1" for BBtB challenge
so I am entering this into 2 challenges

The leaves is a punch I had. Oh - the base card was cut at 4 1/4" from Wildcard cartridge.
Inside is also decorated - will post later

Cookout invite shape card

I used this card for two challenges:
1) Cuttlebug Challenges Cuttlebug Be Inspired #45(Shape Cards) and 2) for Challenge # 44: You are Invited at The Cuttlebug Spot

I needed a grill for our up coming cookout - so I used the baby carriage and modified it for a grill.
I found the cut on Stretch Your Imagination.
I cut it 4 times, used a silver pen for highlights.
You're Invited is cut at 3" from Wild Card Cricut Cartridge.

This card was cut from Wild Card Cricut cartridge at 4 1/4 multiple times.

In this case two cards in one!

Secret Camper - gift

My daughter is a camp counselor at a local camp this summer. Each is paired with a "secret" buddy and they are to give small gifts similar to a secret sister. I think this is a great idea, since they are spending time away from home for long periods of time.

My daughter's "buddy" loves horses and has a white horse name Love. She created these couple gifts to give to her.

The frame is an 8 x 10" standard picture frame. The horse was cut at 4 1/2" real dial size from Cricut cartridge "Paper Doll Dress Ups". The word love is actually from Cricut cartridge Wild Card "love post" where she cut off the word post.

She made a matching photo book cover as well for her buddie to store her favorite 4 x 6 pics in.

Happy Birthday - Wild Card - key # 22

Another card my sister and I put together last night.
This is also from Wild Cart Cricut Cartridge. Page 53, key # 22.
Sentiment Happy Birthday cut at 5" (Can be found on key # 30), inside sentiment is found on key # 1 (shift).
She had a initial tag and it is held on with a coordinating brad.

The overall card was cut at 7" which yielded a 3 x 7" card.

Wild Card - Gift Card

I always wanted to make this card, it is the Gift Card Cut on the Wild Cart Cricut Cartridge and wondered - what dial sizee do I have t oset this at to actually get a gift card to fit!?
My sister came over last night to make a few cards and this is one we chosed!

To ensure the card can actually hold the gift card in it's slots - you have to cut it at 7".

You can find this card on page 70 of the handout - and Key #39.
I wanted to put a spin to it, my sister wanted to add the sentiment "4you" to the cover. Instead of just cutting out the phrase and gluing it ot the cover, I fed the card back into the Cricut, and lined it up perfectly to cut the 4You actually into the front of the gift card!

If you want to do this, do the following:
Put the card back on the mat, move over the blade to 5 7/8 mark, find the sentiment 4you (key 15) and cut it at 5".

I do not have Design Studio on my laptop - so this was the next best thing!
I have to do this more often!

Here is our creation:
