Gift card - masculine - version

Front view
Back view

I was working on the Just Buggin' Challenge #4 - Blackout and once I cut my present, I wanted to make it into a gift card holder... that's when I was reading my dashboard and Jamie's post was there!
I saw her cut file on Bits of Paper - but since I do not have DS loaded, I got out my graphing paper and created my own box very similar to Jamie's. If you have DS, go to her blog for the Cricut Cut File - Gift Card Box
I'll post my version for those who do not have DS, in a bit. I added two punch dots, where the slit ends to aid in the insertion of the flap.
I used Doodlecharms blackout at 3" to participate in the challenge, the celebrate and birthday sentiments are Cuttlebug mini folders. The pp is from Provo Craft as well.

Gift Card slider from Project Tuesday

While I took a break from making Disney character "Chip", I was blog hopping and came upon this lovely blog- there are weekly challenges.
If you know me, I love these type of things!
Therefore, Project Tuesday - Surprise Gift Card Holder I just had to try.
Here is what I came up with.

The top image is from Studio G Fairy limited series.
layer of white card stock run through Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.
Martha Stewart border punch used outside and inside
Silk flowers from ACM pulled aprt and glued begind the matted imaged.

So what happens, when the recipent opens the card, the gift card slides up.

Here is a closer pic.
Oh the stamp images are: Heart from Imaginisce, and "for you" from Studio G

Wild Card - Gift Card

I always wanted to make this card, it is the Gift Card Cut on the Wild Cart Cricut Cartridge and wondered - what dial sizee do I have t oset this at to actually get a gift card to fit!?
My sister came over last night to make a few cards and this is one we chosed!

To ensure the card can actually hold the gift card in it's slots - you have to cut it at 7".

You can find this card on page 70 of the handout - and Key #39.
I wanted to put a spin to it, my sister wanted to add the sentiment "4you" to the cover. Instead of just cutting out the phrase and gluing it ot the cover, I fed the card back into the Cricut, and lined it up perfectly to cut the 4You actually into the front of the gift card!

If you want to do this, do the following:
Put the card back on the mat, move over the blade to 5 7/8 mark, find the sentiment 4you (key 15) and cut it at 5".

I do not have Design Studio on my laptop - so this was the next best thing!
I have to do this more often!

Here is our creation:

Gift Card Holder -Wristlet style

After 2 hours of practice and creating my directions - I have completed this little wristlet/purse! Just in time - I have to leave at 12:30 for a b-day party.
Some directions were given just weren't making sense in my tired head... so I had to start from scratch! I editted it a little.

Items used:
Cricut Accent Essentials cartridge - image/key #48 (shift)
Crop-a-dile
Card stock from My minds eye - lovely - the inside looks like cloth!
Ribbon from Stampin' up

Gift Card holder

This is such an easy gift card holder.
I embossed the front using the CB folder and MS glitter!
Star was punched and embossed and glitter, the heart is a chipboard purchased from HSN long time ago. Flower was from a Cricut Holiday swap.

Circle gift card holders

I used the largest coluzzle web to cut the circle card (approx 4 1/2 in circle), fold piece of card stock in half and just put the circle on the fold - to create the card. Embossed the cover in the Cuttlebug. Cut the images multiple times in diff colored CS and layer. These cute images are from Sizzix collection. This is the first time I used them and they are so cute! Accents are from SU Boho punch. Glitter here and there.
P.S. You can get two cards from one 8 1/2 x 11 piece of CS.

Gift card Pull out Ornament

I saw this idea in my card magazine - Thought I would use JOTS and some glitter. Glitter a little messy - next ones will be with out!
