Disney Swap

I am in a Disney swap on the Cricut Message Board and have mailed these - a week ago to the hostess.
I can't wait to get the other images back.
The premise was to add these to some sort of lunch box (per the hostess)... but I will probably turn them into cards or use the Disney cut outs on a scrapbook page.
The images had to fit exactly as directed to the hostess and boy was Chip hard to piece together because to get him to fit - he was laying down and the pieces were oh so tiny!

Winter Wishes

I created this card with three challenges in mind
1) Crafty Catz - use a fairy on your holiday card (I used a Studio G stamp glittered)
2) Daring Cardmakers - to make a white card with only a hint of color
3) Frosted Designs - to use the same shape but diff sizes - I used the rectangle
I added punches of snowflakes from Martha Stewart, glittered and raised on foam dots

More CD hanging decoration/ornaments

Hi Folks - I made these for each of my extended family members. I brought them to Thanksgiving Dinner and they got to pick one.

The base is a CD that I covered with SB paper and Cricut cuts.
They all loved them and have asked for more! My brother and newphew brought me the CD's to I can make loads and it was suggested I make them for al lseason and holidays. What a great idea!
Here are some inspiration for you - if you like to make them.
The cuts are from JOTS ,DC and ACY

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...

I made this card for two challenges one at All Sorts week 28 and also for Pollycraft Monday Challenge #29.
At Pollycraft we had to use a portion of a Christmas song, to help me with this I used two Cuttlebug folders - the Allegra (music) folder to emboss the red card stock, and the snowy image is also from the Cuttlebug folder which I cut in three pieces for more effects.
I inked and raides on foam dots, added the Martha Stewart snowflakes with mini brads from Michael's.
The sentiment is computer generated using Microsoft font called Monotype Corsiva at 18pt bolded.

Dream

I created this card for two challenges - one at Get Sketchy Challenge # 15 and the other at The Pink Elephant - you had to use plaid and brads (no ribbon). The bonus at Get Sketchy was to also paper piece which I did with the dove.

Card is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 opens on short side. The dove was cut from Indie Art at 3". The paper is from Provo Craft and the mini brads are from Michael's Recollections collection.

"S" have it!

Over at Daring Cardmakers we had to make a card using elements of our first initial of our first name. Well mine is Sheryl = S... boy this had me stumped for a few days. So I searched the cricut cartridges last night and found these "S".
On Stretch your Imagination cartridge (hee hee "S") I used sand castle, sea shells, and using my Cuttlebug I used Swiss Dot (yes another s) for the clouds that I hand cut and I used the Swirls embossing folder. Whew!
What a fun card - I like it. Oh I forgot - the card is a square (yes one more s....) and I used Stampin' Up card stock (another "S").

Shells were cut at 2", sand castle was cut at 3", card is 4 x4" square.

Celebrate Family

I am pre-planning a double layout for Thanksgiving. Wow - will be great - snap a couple pictures for each side of the layouts and pop them in and be done! No delay.
To help me accomplish this I use the sketch at Scrap sketch blog, At Crafty Catz we had to use the word Celebrate amd at Bitten By The Bug we had to use the cornucopia cut on PDDU Cricut Cartridge.
Here is the double page LO I did.
Here is a close up of the pages.
Data:
Pilgrim man - 3", Pilgrim female 2 3/4", Turkey on plate 3" (yes 3 inches), apple pie (which I'll be making 3 of them!) also cut at 3". Cornucopia cut at 3 and the fruit cut multiple items. All inked. I cut the green circle using my Coluzzle. The little scallops are actually Creative Memories mini cual circle punch. The glitter strips are from HSN. Oh yes, the Title is cut using the font (my fav) from A Child's year cut at 2".

after glow

I did this LO with memories of my dad who just passed away a few weeks ago. This is the only pic I have of when I was little (1970) with him and I alone. And then on my wedding day (1987). The mass memory card is attached and the back side was the phrase "after glow". How appropriate. Dad I love you.

I was able to complete this Lo with three challenges in mind. 1) MAF - Use black and one other color and bling. 2) At Practical Scrappers we were to use acrylic paints (which is a first for me on a LO!) It was fun. I used a cotton ball and swished it across the glitter black cs. and 3) at Frosted Designs we were to do paper tearing - which I love. I also used black ink on the torn edges. Love how it came out.

Click on the pic for better a view.
The sparkly glitter chip board are from making Memories that I bought to complete this LO at Michael's Craft Store.

TFL!

Winner of my Penguin guess the "green"

So I created a spinner card where the penguins were skating on something I reused from a snack.

My boys (who ate the snack) helped choose the winner.

The winner stated:

Hi there, this is really cute. I think it might be the bit card/paper type stuff you get in the top of a box of chocolates, they put it between the chocolate and the lid to keep the chocolates from getting squashed. Dairy Milk by Cadburys in particular...

Best wishes
Karen
Just Buggin

What was it I used? It was the inner lining paper foil from a bag of cracker.

Karen - I'll make your two cards tonight, if you could email me at luv2scrap44@yahoo.com and I will send them on their way.
Thanks for playing everyone!

Mini Album

I made this for my daughter who is away at college and wanted her to have a cute mini album of her cat. (I made one for her last year but a diff style).
The pages were cut at 4" from Key # 3c from Accent Essentials. Misc buttons and ribbon scraps were added.
This was a lot of fun - and you can add as much as you want. This is a 6 page album, I used Stampin' Up card stock which is very sturdy.

Desktop calendar sticky note gift

I made this to give out as gifts this Christmas. I am entering this in a contest at MAF

AFGC - Wk3 Altered Calendar

2010 and accents were cut from Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge at 1".
I created the calendar in excel after I found 2009 version on line. The left side is a pocket perhaps for stamps or notes.

Wedding card - my creation but a pink version

You may (or may not) seen my original creation using a deep red background.
My sister needed a wedding card for a co-worker and the color theme was pink.
So I scraped myself and re-created the card with a light pink background.
For original card details go here.

Happy Birthday

I just love the bird on Indie Art cartridge - I cut her at 2".
I use some wonderful red "love" card stock to mount the bird on and ties it with green sheer ribbon by Stampin' Up. Added some wonderful light green rhinestones to complete the red and green birthday card challenge at Bitten By the Bug.

It's my sister's birthday Dec 15th - so this was perfect!!!
Inside was cut at 1" from Zoo Balloo.

Good Luck....On Your Finals

My daughter's finals are next month so I thought I would complete a couple challenges in hopes of geting this card done. At Just Buggin' you had to use three Cricut cuts. I used Roo, (3") the sign post, (3") and a butterfly (1 1/2") - all from Cricut Pooh and Friends cartridge. I also completed the girlie card at Die Cuts R Us.
Cuttlebug folders were used on the base card (swiss dots) and the accent piece (hearts).
Misc Target ribbon as an accent and inking here and there.

ChEeRs

This is a whimsy card for a challenge at Doodle Palace.
We had to make a predominantly purple holiday card.

Back ground card stock run through the Sizzix snowflake embosing folder.
Glitter purple card stock from Wassau Papers.

Martha Stewart punch for the double layer snowflakes and added a purple rhinestone in the middle.

The inside sentiment is a Sizzix font.

Peace

Challenge 32 - GREEN, RED and WHITE at Colour Create

I ran the base card stock through the snowflake dots embossing folder, the Christmas scene is a Sizzix embossing folder that I glittered. Added a ribbon from Stampin' Up.

Inside is also a Sizzix die too.

Snow Fun - playing penguins

I had this idea this morning and just had to get up to make it - yes at 6:00 AM!!!
Can you guess what I used for the ice skating rink? The flash on the "ice" may appear darker than what it is. I went "green" and reused an item.

Leave me a comment and if you are the first one to guess it exactly I'll make two of these cards and send them to you. Contest will end on Friday at 6:00 PM EST.

The cute penguins are cut from Zoo Balloo Cricut cartridge at 4" 3" and 2"
The title are stickers and I hand cut the clouds and inked them
The spinner card is one that you cut a 1/4" slot and use pennies and foam adhesive to make your element roll through the slot.
The ice arena I cut using my Coluzzle.

I am entering this into two challenges. Wish me luck!
here are the directions on how to make the spinner.

I created this card also for the BBtB grass cut from Walk in my garden Cricut cartridge challenge.

The inside turtle is cut at 1".
SMILE is also cut from doodlecharms - I think at 1 1/2"
