TCP Challenge #3 - 5 color tag

At TCP Challenge #3 was to use their blog colors.
I came up with this 3 x 4 tag.

I ran the grey cs through the Harlequin Cuttlebug Embossing folder and inked it ever so slightly with pink. I added a teal silk flower, a grey paper flower and a pink rhinestone to compliment the pink ribbon. All layered on a black base tag.

I enjoyed making this tag, I do not do it often and it was on my "craft list" to make a bunch to have on hand.

Season's Greeting - Stair step card

Here is my second one tonight. They take some time thinking of what and where to put the objects as you have so many choices ...and oh so fun.

Trees cut from Joy of the Season Cricut cartridge at 2" and 1 1/2"
Penguins - 1", 1 1/2 and 1 3/4 Latered and because they were so small - I colored in the eyes and beak and feet.

The front seond run through the new Winter Snow embosssing folder by Sizzix.

I did this for a challenge by Sew Many Cards Challenge #6: Stair Card
Try it out! Super simple. Cut card stock 5 1/2 x 10 1/2 (you can get two out of a 12 x 12 piece of strong card stock
Score at these inch points on your score tool or other evice (I use my wonderful Fiskars trimmer with the score blade in)

2 1/2
4 1/4

8 1/4

Then fan fold
Decorate each panel as you wish.
When folded it fits in a regular A2 envie!

Trees at 2 and 1/2"
Star at 1 1/2"
Polar Bears at 1 and 1 1/2"
Sentiment from Leaves Memories

Practical Scrapper - use transparencies card

Transparencies Day Two at Practical Scrappers blog challenged us to use transparencies. I happened to have some 12 x 12 painted sheets and cut one down for a card front.

I then cut out the flower pattern (Martha Stewart crafts) fro mthe piece of transparency.
I embossed the under layer card using Victoria Cuttlebug Folder and cut of the two leaves (accent) from Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge at 1".

Added some rhinestones and ribbon (Target). (The picture is hard too take and it looks like the ribbon is brighter than it really is.

You Rock - Happy Birthday Sis!

My sister's birthday is next month, and at Cuttlebug Challenges blog Cuttlebug Creatively Yours Spotlight Sunday - Rock-N-Roll Invites where Cassie created hangind LP's from her mantle.
I thought it would be fun to make this card for my sister.

I used my Coluzzle to cut the vinyl - hee hee. However I added the white label that was traditionally where the songs, album title and artist name would go.

Provo Craft slider was cut from Fun Foam and a Stampin' Up ribbon slide through.
The present is a Sizzix die I believe

Inside sentiment from Studio G.

Gift card - masculine - version

Front view
Back view

I was working on the Just Buggin' Challenge #4 - Blackout and once I cut my present, I wanted to make it into a gift card holder... that's when I was reading my dashboard and Jamie's post was there!
I saw her cut file on Bits of Paper - but since I do not have DS loaded, I got out my graphing paper and created my own box very similar to Jamie's. If you have DS, go to her blog for the Cricut Cut File - Gift Card Box
I'll post my version for those who do not have DS, in a bit. I added two punch dots, where the slit ends to aid in the insertion of the flap.
I used Doodlecharms blackout at 3" to participate in the challenge, the celebrate and birthday sentiments are Cuttlebug mini folders. The pp is from Provo Craft as well.

Celebrate ...... Autumn

Here in New England the trees are changing, so I spent some time last night with my glitter and glue pad and inked this tree (Michael's dollar bin). Took a few tries and some google searching - I guess glossy card stock works best. I was lucky I do not throw anything away. This black glossy piece was a backing or insert to something I had bought.

I used Viv's sketch at Doodle Palace and will also enter it on their blog and Paper Cutz 3 button challenge like the card below.
All similar materials used as in the last card.

I love how the camera flash captured the glitter on the tree.

Close up of the embossing using Cuttlebug folder.
Inside of card
The orange paper you are seeing is a homemade kind of like mulberry paper, fabulous texture.

Merry

Here is a card I created using Doodle Palace sketch by Viv and image. I also created this with Paper Cutz Challenge # 10 in mind, we had to use three buttons.

Card stock and pp by Stampin' Up. I cut the bear a few times and raised sections on pop dots to give him demension.
Glitter card stock (yellow) by Wausau Papers
Sentiment by Magnetic Poetry and the lovely smooth buttons are from American Crafts

Cuttlebug cozie or jammie or cover hee hee

So on the MB Jane was looking for a pattern to make a cover for the Cuttlebug, gosh - I looked and could not find a pattern. I made a pattern myself and sewed one up in no time!
Take about 1/4 yard of fabric 1/2 hem allowance and one button hole and yahoo - it's covered.....

Leave a comment if you want me to email you the pattern!

Autumn - Just Buggin' die cut challenge

I stopped by Just Buggin' (I am also a follower) and during the Join Us for the Blog Hop!!! We were challenged to take a die cut and alter it.
I altered mine three ways, inked, embossed and bling (rhinestone)
- tree and leaves.

Here is a card - this was a fun one to do - I found an old punch and punch the leaves in multi colors.

Daring Cardmakers - tartan challenge - hope

I know I have tartan ribbon and cloth - of course I could not find it in my craft area.
Here is a card I came up with for this challenge at http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/ called 'Tartan it up'.
Background was embossed with the Cuttlebug folder, I pulled out a word - hope and glittered it using my 2-way Zig glue pen.
Added ribbon and a rhinestone to match the card.

BOO - a Banner

I created this banner for my home and my daughter's dorm.
Over at Die Cuts R Us Tuesday's Challenge #8 was to make something for Halloween.
And Over at Practical Scrappers you had to use die cuts - BOY did I - all of it is die cuts - lol - giggle. Check out the Challenge Blog Hop-Saturday and enter!
The letters were cut from Plantin Cricut cartridge at 4" multiple times
Other items all cut from Paper Dolls Dress up at 3" (love this cart!)
The patterned card stock is a new 8 x 8 pack at Michael's - I bought it last night with my 50% coupon. I was able to get 4 of each letter on one piece of card stock! PERFECT as I was making 4 of these banners.

I was asked about the card stock pack I bought at Michael's - here is a pic of the 8 x 8 stack.

Congratulations - bottle shaped card

Challenge - week 38 at Create4fun Challenge blog provided us with this bottle template.
I create a congratulations bottle card in which I added glitter to the front, stamped the sentiment and added paper flowers and Class-a-peel stickers to the center.

Jingle Jingle jingle LO for 2009 Holiday Season

Ohhh... I am psyched, I got one pre-LO completed by using two challenges.

1) I used Sankari's Non-Traditional Colors Challenge #35 - 09-21-09 at Christmas Stampin' All Year long. This week Maria gave us a sketch and in which I used it for a LO because at Practical Scrappers blog This week's challenge is Felt

So I dug through my stuff and found Martha Stewart snowflake felt border that I picked up last year.. so with it prompted me to look at Maria card sketch as a LO So that I can use it for the family pic I take every Christmas day. The stamp is from a dollar bin at Michael's a few years ago and I used the new Sizzix Embossing folder where the pic will go.

Yahooo!
Here is the LO is followed.

We had to use non traditional Christmas colors - no red, blue or green at CSAYL and at Practical Scrappers we had to use felt.

Click the pic for a better view of the felt and embossing and stamping!!!
