Vintage note card

Using the same elelments as my friend to friend card, I changed up the size and layout a bit by using the foiled ebossed card that I picked up at the florist. It matched my card very welll and it added a little glitz as well. This has no sentiment as it is intended to be a note card.
I used the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder to emboss the layer that the butterfly (Martha Stewart) was cut from
then put back on. The next layerwas border punch with Hearts punch also by Martha. Next was the note card from the florist (click the pic and hope you can see the beautiful artwork) next layer I used the old ticket punch from Stampin' Up.

Time for Tea?

As guest designer this week at CRAFT Challenge blog was a recipe challenge, 1 Tag, 2 Circles and 3 Rectangles or Squares'

I chose a cute digi from Digital Delights. Who is the sponsor at CRAFT this week. If you enter and are picked they offer 3 digital images of the winner's choice from their shop.
(If you have read my blog earlier - I just had to change how I colored the image as I was not happy with the first version!)

Twine from the Twinery
Tag punch from SU
Vintage music sheets I bought from an Antique shop down the road to use in my creations. I think the music book dates back to early 1900's and since I don't play piano - I don't mind cutting it up and using it on items.
Circle punched from a Creative Memories dual punch

Vintage sewing tag

At Blog Challenge Garden they have a tag challenge and I couldn't wait to jump in.
You see I love to sew - used to do it a lot in my younger years and pick up small pieces to sew now and then... I bought this stamp from Stella and Rose and stamped it in black Stayzon onto a brown SU stamped image from the Bliss set. Tag size is 3 x 5" with a one inch tag corner.

Added a MS border and some glitter pen highlights - hope you can see them and some rhinestones too to act as thread. The faux vintage buttons are a embosslet from SU. Entering this in Frosted Designs for bling - perfect!

Vintage Christmas card

I pulled this kitty image off of Google - adorable!! Layered it a couple times and mounted in on Flurries Cuttlebug embossed folder and inked with my favorite ink Chestnut Roan Color Box cays eye. Ran a cream ribbon under the image and made a knot.
entering this at Cuttlebug Challenge - Vintage and at Sassy Lil Sketch - I used their sketch

Vintage Pharmacy labels

(Front)

Made this notebook for my BIL who is a pharmacist. I found this web site, Just Something I made, that had vintage Apothecary labels and just had to doctor-up this notebook.

I bought the notebook at Wal-Mart great price due to school supplies in high demand. I covered it with Scotts quick dry glue and Stampin' Up DSP. (back)

Printed the labels on white card stock and cut them all out. To give it an older feel I inked the sides of the notebook and inked the labels with my brown Color Box cats eye ink. Adhere them with Mod Podge and then spritz them with Glimmer Mist.
The colors I used were Sand and Sea Glass.

I like how a few spots hit a label and made it more vintage.

Vintage Christmas card

At Christmas Stampin All Year Long - this weeks challenge was to go Vintage.
The image is from Google, the embossing on the base card was sanded (Cuttlebug folder) the sentiment is a stamp from Inkadinkado.
The lace is from a spool I had from Jo-Ann's and the buttons are truly vintage. Take a look at the two on the right - those are wooden buttons. (I even left the vintage thread in one of them) I got them in a yard sale last year.
I am entering this in at CSAYL and Sunday Sketch and Stamp

Tags - vintage feel

I was blog hopping last night and I saw a post of some beautiful tags, so I wanted to give it a try.
I did simpler version, took a large script stamp and inked it with my Rust Adirondack ink, I like the color on the craft card stock.
I took various stamp colors and inked the out side to give it the vintage look.
I had been saving up the negative version of my Cricut cuts just for this project especially the bird and heart (When I saw Daring Cardmaker wanted a bird used on their challenge... I knew I wanted to do use my negative and then is snow balled into tags - and I couldn't stop after one and two)
I added some twine and a charm.
I plan on adding glitter - but I had to baby sit and wanted to post these tonight.

please let me know what you think - I may remove the charm... will sleep on it and probably add the glitter tomorrow and re-post.

My next blog candy - one of these will make it to the pile - so stay tuned!

Vintage card

You know when you have a vision of how you want a card to come out - but it changes along the way. This is close to what I wanted to occur with this creation.

The puzzle pieces were cut from Locker Talk Cricut cartridge at 3". I then Stamped the hummingbird/birdbath image (Inkadinkado) using brown StazOn ink. It covered fabulously!
I glued down all but the upper corner piece which I tilted and raised on a foam square.
The ribbon, flowers, border and rhinestones are all from Stampin' Up.
I am entering this card in these challenges
1) Cuttlebug Challenge Vintage Valentine
2) Tuesday Taggers - in which we had to use a puzzle piece (I used all 9)
3) The Pink Elephant - we had to use polka dots, a bow and the color pink
4) Die Cuts R Us - use ribbon
5) Doodle Palace - something new - the stamp image and all the SU products were new - I got today
I think this will go to my MIL.
