Get Well Wishes

Since I had cut a couple of these branch with leaves from the Sizzix die, I wanted to make a get well card for a friend.

I first stamped the sentiment from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes set, then embossed it with the lines SU embossing folder so it went horizontal to not disturb the sentiment.

Then I cut out the frame from Spellbinders wavy rectangles. (I got the set at JoAnn for 10.00 last fall!) and raised the frame on foam squares. (The pic was not taken at an angle to show the raised element). Then glued the branch for a simple elegant card.

simple thank you

I made this for a friends of mine whom I visited a few days back. I noticed she had a bike like this as a home decoration so I took the opportunity to make a card.

The bottom I first punched a Martha Stewart heart border punch on the white card stock.
Next I cut out the blue Spellbinders scallop octagon and ran that through the fancy swirl Cuttle Bug embossing folder.

Next I had a few of these bikes already cut in black cardstock (see the first card I made with it) so I glued it to the card and added some flat back SU pearls to the bike.
Closed out the design of the card with a little sentiment from SU Teeny Tiny wishes.

Trellis layered card

I created this sleek Thank you Card for my daughter to give to a friend.
To create the element, I die cut the trellis from a Sizzix (SU) die in white. Then to create the frame, I used two of the middle to largest dies from Spellbinders scallop octagon.
I adhered the two together and only had to cut a little off the trellis die piece.

Then proceeded to cut the Provo Craft scrapbook paper to match the outer size scallop octagon.
Mounted it on black card base using foam squares.
The sentiment and punches are from Stampin Up.

Juggling Hearts

Made this cute card for my daughter.
I cut a piece of white cardstock at 4 x 5 1/4" and used my Martha Stewart Diagonal plate in my embossing board to create the lines. Super simple!

The image (with the red card stock) is raised on foam squares. I colored it with my Crayola markers and edged the two white cs layers with my brown ink pad.

The "postage stamp type edging is a new Spellbinders edge die I picked up Monday night at Joann's for 5.00! It comes with three edges, I had fun playing around with the different cuts. This was actually the negative of one of the dies.
Sending this to my daughter today.

Thinking of you

A little vintage and combination of SU and Spellbinders on this card.
The base card is black layered by and an "oops" of the doily lace stamped image. It was a little light in an area but hated to discard it. With some embellishments it become this vintage card!
I added a couple new Spellbinders dies (the window and the key). I love the details and they cut wonderfully in my Big Shot.

I added pearls (SU) to the bottom of the window and a couple other places.
And this time I remembered to add the Glitter Gelly Roll Pen to the doily stamped image (SU).

Finished it off with a SU sentiment and punches.

Natural tones note card

This is a simple note card I created last night with my new Spellbinder's die! It was under 8 dollars for the little set. It gives you three ways to cut the image and I love to create with the pieces.

Here I just center the medallion image on a 3 1/2" x 4 piece of black card stock and it cut beautifully.
Mounted it on light cream card stock and tied natural cording around the bottom. I was going to put a sentiment... but which one... not sure at this time, hence the "note card" title.
I was going to run the bottom through the lace Stampin' Up embossing edge folder, but opted for the SU polka dots instead.
The center of the medallion is a flowered rhinestone from Creative Charms which appears to no longer be in business.

Snowflakes of winter Peace on Earth

This card is made using more Basic Grey paper from the Figgy Pudding Card kit, however I cut out snowflakes from the 2012 Spellbinders Snowflake series and added gems to the center. The circle in the center is embossed which may be hard to see in the photo.
The sentiment is a rub on "Peace on Earth"

Peek-a-boo Easter Card

Here is a sweet Easter card I made for my daughter. Can't believe Easter is so early this year, March 31st.
I cut the aperture using a Spellbinders die and framed it as well. The sweet little yellow chick is a three dimensional sticker. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up. The embossing folder is from Sizzix used on the base card

Peace

I made this card today using some new items I just picked up. I know the Holidays are over but I wanted to use my new items plus, it's snowing outside!

The base of the card was embossed using the Sizzix (SU) Brocade embossing folder.
The two snowflakes are cut from the Spellbinders 2012 Version of Snowflakes dies.
The word Peace is from a Sizzix Word strip I got on clearance online.

Flower - Calendar Birthday Card

Here is another card I made with the beautiful floral calendar. This time I needed a birthday card.
The colors are so vibrant, I wanted to see how they looked as a back drop to the emboses layer and also as a border!  The border punch and sentiment are from SU!
The butterfly is a Spellbinders die I raised on foam.

Postage Stamp birthday card

I made this for my sister whose birthday is in a couple weeks, the base is concord crush Stampin' Up card stock as well as the postage stamps which I cut from a Spellbinders die.
I picked up this shiny tulle at the fabric store in which I cut a strip and tied a knot. To keep the tulle on I used a glue dot (love Glue Dots!)
The base white layer is a new Spellbinders Impressabilities which you run through your machine (I had to look online to get the sandwich for my Big Shot), then on the raised areas I used my Cat Eye inks to run along to capture the raised image.[You may have to click the picture to see the detail, camera is hard to pick up white and in artificial lighting)

Sentiment and punches are from Stampin' Up inked in Concord Crush as well added rhinestones for bling!
Thanks for stopping by.

Rosewood ColorkBok Scrapbook mini album

I picked up this pad of beautiful floral print ColorBok scrapbook papers at Wal-Mart for 5.00! I love ColorBok selections and creations.

Using my creation process of minis I went to town to create this using some new Martha Stewart and Spellbinders supplies.

Had some old silk flowers to tie the theme and papers together which I hot glued to the cover. Please see the video for more details if you like.

Mini Album using Belladonna paper

My sister gave me this Colorbok paper pack for my birthday. They are beautiful and you can get it at Wal-Mart!
I wanted to create a mini album to showcase the paper and of course couldn't resist using my traditional method for pages. (Take an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of solid cardstock and score down the middle, turn score at 2 1/2" or 3" to form the pocket) For a twist I used a brand new Martha Stewart border punch that I purchased off of HSN to add the daily cuts to the pockets.

Please see the video for more details if you like.

Picture Frame from an old CD

I created this sweet picture frame to be given with some baby gifts for a little girl.
I used an old CD I got from Disney and cut out scrapbook paper from Colorbok (Wal-mart) and glue sticked it to the front and back.

I created an easel in the back so it can stand up, if you watch the video you can see how I created this.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby card #3 Bassinet

I love how this cute pink baby card came out.
I used scraps of pink paper I had in my stash to make the bassinet with my Spellbinders scallop die.

You can see the other bassinet card I made here.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up, the label is from Spellbinders. Love how fancy the laebsl are!

Baby Card number 1

My sister asked me to make a couple baby cards. I also needed to make a baby card that was long over due! This and the next two post are the ones I made on Saturday.
I used a spellbinders die to cut the scallop lace circle. Then cut it in 1/2 at the 9 bump mark.
Glued the two together to make the bassinet.
Added the border punch yellow lacy border from Stampin' Upto the sides of the bassinet. To make the wheels I used a Sizzix die to punch the circles and added yellow eyelets. Glued it to the base of the card which was run through the swiss dot embossing folder from Cuttlebug.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up which I used the new Spellbinders labels!! Love them!!! and also raised on foam squared.

I made a pink version which you can look at here.

6 x 4 mini album using Spellbinders dies

I recently bought this mega Spellbinders die, and when I measured the largest die was 4 x 6", I thought it would be perfect for a minialbum,
I used my Cinch to bind the edge and used Stampin' Up pattern paper to create the inner pages and medallion.

Please enjoy the video and have a great day!

10 minute card

Hi Folks, I am calling this my 10 minute card because I had just a few minutes to create a card that I wanted to send to my daughter today.
So with my supplies and scraps I created this card.
If you watched my video yesterday, you will see the layout of this card came from the last page of the mini.
I liked how I laid out the swirl, the butterfly and the sentiment label that I wanted to reproduce the layout into a card.
Because the card is a darker blue, I continued the theme and layout to the inside of the card.
The materials I used on this card is as follows:
Front: Stampin' Up Tulip border embossing folder, Sizzix (Tim Holtz) swirl die, Stampin' Up (Sizzix) Butterfly embosslit die, and Spellbinders label die for the sentiment. Sentiment is from SU as well. Gems from Recollection collection at Michael's.
Inside: Sizzix (Tim Holtz) swirl die (there are two different swirls on the die), Stampin' Up (Sizzix) Butterfly embosslit die (there are 5 different little butterflies to use on the die), and Spellbinders label die for the journaling.

Thanks for reading and stopping by!

Graduation card

My daughter's boyfriend graduated from Northeastern University last Friday. The school colors are red and black so I made this card for him. I need to pick up a couple gift cards before I can mail the card to him. Luckily he also landed a job right out of college!!!
I used two different embossing folders from Stampin' Up Sizzix brand. The tag is a Spellbinders die held on with vintage twine.

Happy 21st Birthday card

I made this for my daughter who turns 21 today!

Embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment as well, raised the spellbinders label die on foam.
