Valentine Cards three ways

I re-purposed more paint chips into these cute Valentine Day cards for my three children
This one I mounted on black card stock and used a black sharpie to draw the "string". I used a lunch plate to make the perfect shape.
This card I used red card stock with the Little hearts also from the Stampin' Up Embosslit!
And the last one also in black, but in the portrait set up.
The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

Red Heart scallop card

Using the Stampin' Up scallop border punch, I used it on the base red card front and proceeded to add a light purple layer and a black border.
Matching the border, I punched out three corresponding hearts (Stampin' Up punch). The sentiment is also from SU!.
I layered a white piece of cardstock inside so the red scallop on the front of the card will stand out.

Black and sleek Valentine card

I love this embossing folder border from Stampin' Up. The lace has a very deep emossed texture.
I added a strip of red card stock right above the border, foam popped the hearts that were embossed with the Cuttlebug African Batik. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny wishes which I punched out using a tag punch also from SU!
In error when I was embossing what I thought was only the front of the card, I embossed the inside too, I kind of like it!

Valentine Cards #1

I spent the morning making Valentine Cards, here is the first one, a quick card!
The black card stockand the hearts (used Stampin Up heart punch) are embossed using a Cuttlebug folder I bought yesterday on clearance for 1.99!! The hearts are raised on foam squares.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up Teeny Tiny Wishes set.

Valentine's Card using a scrabble tile

I love this simple household items card I made for my daughter. I'm going to add a Dunkin' Donuts gift card to it.

The lace border is a Martha Stewart border punch.
The inside heart stamp is from the dollar bin at Micahels I believe.
I used a couple regular paper doilies, a scrabble tile and pearls. The scrabble tile had the 4 on it per the game design so I add the "1" to make it reference to February 14th.

Valentine Card 6 of 6

My last in the series of pink red and white embossed stamp cards for Valentine's Day.

Again I used the same stamp image from Stampin' Up, added a glitter heart to the candy box, and layered her on an embossed (Cuttlebug hearts) pink card stock, bordered with a satin red ribbon. I snuck in a double heart in the upper right hand corner. (Stampn' Up punch)

Valentine Card 5 of 6

Here is the 5th in my series - it is a Z fold card - I should make more of these as they are a fun way to make an A2 size card. Just take the front of the card and fold it back to the crease.

The cute vintage image is from Stampin' Up, Embossing with the Cuttlebug folder.
The inside sentiment is a Studio G stamp.

Valentine Card 3 of 6

Hi Folks, here is my 3rd card. I created this trifold card for my daughter.

I used the Martha Stewart border punch and created the border strips and the cut outs as well. The inside sentiment is a retired Stampin' Up stamp.
The cherubs is a punch I have had for quite some time the funny blur on the second image is actually a hanging heart from a string.
The card kind of reminds me of a window...

Valentine Card 2 of 6

Here is my second in a series, I'll post two more tomorrow!
This base is also A2 in size, the second layer is embossed with the Hearts Cuttlebug Embossing folder, the sentiment is one from my stash - I think a StudioG stamp raised on foam squares.
Another layer which is a border punch from Martha Stewart, wrapped in a silk ribbon and accented with two cherubs and a heart glittered sticker.

Valentine Card 1 of 6

Hi folks - I'll be posting a series of Valentine's Cards from now till Valentine's Day.
Here is the first one.
The base card is of A2 size, the red layer was shortened and punched with Martha Stewart running hearts border punch.
The third layer was embossed with Cuttlebug Hearts folder.
The Heart is from a large Stampin' Up punch, the cherub is a punch I have in my stash.

Heart room fresh scent gift idea

If you follow my blog - you know I made some Applesauce ornaments at Christmas time.
Because the heart is a great solid non intricate design, I knew I wanted to make these for Valentine gifts to my daughter and her friends. I thought they could hang them in their apartment or closets.

To make these you take 1/2 cup of applesauce and a 1/2 cup of cinnamon.
Mix together and roll out to 1/2" thickness, take a cookie cutter of your choice and cut and transfer to a wire wrack or cooling rack so it can air dry.

If you are going to hang them - use a straw to make a hole in the top.
I added rhinestones and pearls to the front and applied glitter to the sides.

Grapevine Wreath

I bought the plain grapevine wreath at a second hand thrift store months ago. My daughter asked that I make something for her apartment with it, which I took the challenge with yest. I was trying not to make it Valentiney (made my own word - LOL) so she could hang it as a general decoration, but I think I kept it too true to form.

My friend just gave me this awesome lace a couple days ago, and what's nice about it - is the red and white is seamed together. There is also a cording in the middle to allow for ruffling! I am a true lace girl, I have boxes of lace and was thrilled when Terry gave me a good amount.

I ended up pulling the cording and ruffling it and wrapping the top half, If I wrapped the whole wreath - you ind of lost the heart shape.
I added the string of beads to the lower center by hot gluing them down. I took some more lace and fan folded it into a circle and hot glued that over the wire ends.

Now, what to put in the middle. I used to paint wooden shapes long ago and knew right where to look in my stash, I grabbed a couple hearts, paint and added glitter and glued them to the bottom.

I'm please with it hope she likes it. I mailed it today so she should get it in a day or two.

Be Mine

I love this digi from Tiddly Inks!
He just screams - hug me!
I colored him with my markers and colored pencils, I feel he should have been gray but since I just did an elephant I wanted to use a different color....
I had scraps of pattern paper (Provo Craft) from a previous craft project and they fit perfect for the Layout from OWH S&S
I am entering this card into the challenge at The Paper Players and Sentimental Sunday for Valentine's and love theme
The sentiment I think is from Inkadinkado
The punches I used are from SU! and the yarn (fibers) is from Red Heart

Crafting with kids

Friday night I helped my neighbor's little girl create this banner. We used the Martha Stewart heart punch (my fav) and the solid SU heart punch, then tied them together with some fluffy yarn. Came out adorable and she hung it on her bedroom door.

Today, my niece and Iwent our for breakfast. We then went back to my house to make these three items.

Here is a Valentines card (entered in Tuesday Throwdown) that I created using the sketch from Sunday Sketch & Stamp. The sentiment is from Stampendous I believe (I thew the outer wrapper away) The hearts and border punches are from Martha Stewart.

Ran the base white cs through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.

hand in hand

First off please excuse the coloring... I was trying something out and it didn't work and it was already stuck down and I tried to fix it and grabbed the WRONG color!!!!
In person - it's not too bad, but the camera picks up all the defects. GRRR.

Anyway I spent a great deal of time on this card and my dear friend will not recognize (I hope) my error.
In any event - the image is from SU, the cut of is from Spellbinders (I'm trying to use more) the punches are Martha Stewart's. The Ribbon is from Michael's and the sentiment is from Studio G
Here is the inside.
I am entering this card in the following challenges.
