Father's Day card

I kept this simple but wanted to add in a left over scrap of gold cardstock I had so used the retired tab punch from Stampin Up and I was told it resembled a wallet... hmmm.. kind of does.

Father's Day 6 x 4.5" Mini Album

A friend of mine requested a mini album for a Father's Day gift. I set out Tuesday night to make this one.

Each double folded page is made by taking a 12 x 12 piece of cs and cutting it in half.

Take the 12 x 6 piece of card stock and score it horizontally at 1 1/2" and turn and score at 6". You will have a double page with folded pockets as seen in the video.
Added simple elements and my Cinch to bind it all.

Father's Day Card

This is the second card we will be making at my class this month.
I embossed the background, added three pennants (using the fabulous punch) and added the sentiment with two rhinestones.
The pennants are raised on foam squares and attached to twine.

Father's Day thoughts

As I am finishing up a group of cards that I was requested to make, I used the color theme at Sentimental Sundays and the layout from Stars & Stamps

Keeping the masculine theme I used the embossing folder from CB the sentiment is from Stampendous I believe and I used the notebook punch from SU!

Monkey around for Father's Day

Created this card for my husband - for our three children to give to him. They are older but I thought the whimsy would be a good thing to do... to think back when the kids were younger and oh so active!
I used the Create a Critter cartridge and cut them out at 2 1/2". I flipped one and with the negative of the vine - made more vines to appear in the background.
Since we have one girl - I put a bow on her head.

Happy Father's Day LO using sketch 116

Another sketch I liked on scrapsketch blog - is sketch 116! See link to the right.

I used this to complete a LO from this year's Father's Day - we took my husband to The Cheesecake Factory - he had never been.

I used cuts from Accent Essential Cricut cartridge

Father's Day card - using WC and CB

Made a couple cards for our sons to give today.
Both are made from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. The yellow based card is from page 41 - Key #10 "joy". The blue based card is from page 45 key # 14 "triangle".

I cut them at 5". The Happy Father's day is from key # 45 in case you are wondering.
Liners were also cut to add to the front of the card, I embossed those using The Cuttlebug embossing folders then adhered to the front.
Inside were embellished with various "odd" cuts from the cartridge as well. I think they look cool - for our 16 yr old sons to give to "dad".

Happy Father's Day - Tri-Shutter Card

This card is for my dad whom I love dearly.
I was poking around the tutorials on Splitcoaststampers web site and came across this rather intriguing card. The main cuts and scores are so easy! What takes a bit of time is the inner paper piecing rectangles... and choosing your coordinating card stock. Fortunately I used a Scrap Pack from Colorbok so they all matched. The phrases and hearts were cut using the Cricut Wild Card cart. Ribbon is from Wal-Mart. Also entered this card in the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge# 35: FathersDay/Masculine projects
What the card looks like when it is fully closed.
