Half panel masculine birthday card

Using up my scraps, I made this 1/2 front panel card to accommodate a scrap piece of music theme scrapbook paper. Sentiment and brads are from Stampin Up.
Embossed inside white layer is also a piece from my scrap pile.

Hello from Paris

My quest to use the cast off scraps from cards gone by... after finding a border punched piece and a few butterflies I quickly made this card in 15 mins!

Die cutting the Tim Holtz/ Sizzix Eiffel Tower from a piece of plastic to use as a mask, I sponge Soft Suede ink over the mask.
Finding a paper doilie I sponged that all the way around as I wanted it to match, while I thought to lay it down on a piece of cream writing paper, it helped me to make my inside of the card as well as an accent piece.

Added a couple butterflies and sentiment and the card quickly came together.

Three quick cards from scrap pile

I've been reorganizing and came across a container of cuttings and scraps, no big surprise. So last night I created a set of three cards.
I kept the cards plain for now until I need a sentiment added.
Border punch from Martha Stewart
Sentiment locations are a die set from Spellbinders Fancy Frames Tag Two.
What a beautiful die set which I bought years ago at AC MOORE. Embossing folder from Darice.

French Foliage one layer card

Here's another single layer sponging masked card.

I punched a square from a scrap piece of cardstock and sponged on one card Purely Pomegranate and on another Concord Crush.
I also stamped the French script stamp in the masked off area with the same stamped color.
I added leaves using Wild Wasabi
Then masking off the leaves, I stamped over then with the splatter stamp in Pear Pizzazz
Finished it off with a couple score lines to make a couple note cards.

Center stair step birthday card

I saw a similar scene card on Pinterest (I'm into scene cards lately) and wanted to try it out and make a birthday card to have in my stash.
Here are the steps I made to make this card.
I made a center stair-step card with 1-inch side panels.
Cutting a separate piece of card stock at 3 1/8" x 3 3/8" I used the following SU ink to sponge the background. Starting with the lightest color.

The sentiment piece is 3/4" x 5 3/8"

I removed the sun mask and sponged a little over it to soften the edge.
Then with a stamp from Studio 111 (Michael's craft store clearance for .50) I double stamped the image over the 3 panels.
Bird and sentiment from Stampin Up.

Envelope is made with a Stampin Up punch, embossing is from a Darice folder, butterflies are a punch from Martha Stewart and sentiment from SU.

Directions on scene card

I made another scene card, this time it was requested that I make a one layer card for a friend. Because of that I was able to take step by step pictures.
I die cut a 2" circle from a piece of white card stock and temporarily glued it to my base white card.
I placed a scrap piece of card stock to cover / mask off the top 2/3 of the circle.

Using these three colors I sponged the ocean to the open area of the circle.
 This was the results.
Taking a 1" circle I temporarily glued it to the left middle of the scene, this will create the setting sun or moon depending on how you view it.
I then flipped the mask to cover up the ocean to now create the sky.
These are the colors I used to sponge the sky.
This is the results. I then took Wild Wasabi ink (not shown) and stamped the sea grass from SU set Wetlands a couple times. I added the sentiment as well, oops a little crooked. Darn.
To finish it off I scored lines all around.

Scene card Single layer Thinking of you

I wanted to make a card that perhaps could also be a little art picture for my daughter to be able to hang or leave the card up for a bit.

When I saw this type of sponging on Pinterest it came to mind.
The layer itself is a very thick cardstock raised on foam squares on another layer of white.
My next post, I'll take step by step photos of my process.
I chosed to put the sentiment on the inside as to keep with the thought of a picture / wall hanging that it could mimic.

Best Wishes

Well somehow I misplaced the wedding card, so I created this one to mail. Strangely so....I like this one better than the double Z fold one.
Classic two birds using Stampin Up bird punch
Added a heart and sentiment. Mounted using two SU Punches
Inside, I bordered with the beautiful Martha Stewart heart punch, sentiment from Trust God SU stamp set.
Done! Simple! Off to mail with a note. For all I know, the card may be with the gift! Ha.

Wedding card Bride and Groom with hearts

I made this card for my son to give his friend as he is in the wedding party.
Took the heart punch and punched 2 from white and one from black card stock. Cut one white into a V and embossed it with the Lines embossing folder to mimic a dress shirt. Glued to the black heart and added purple rhinestones as their wedding colors are purple and yellow. The bride heart is white embossed with swiss dot embossing folder.
The sentiment is from SU Easy Events and layered on a couple SU punches.
All layered on the triangle embossing folder to mimic argyle.

Wedding card double Z fold card

With a wedding coming up I needed to make a couple cards.
For this card, I cut a piece of card stock at 12 x 5 1/2
Scored at 2, 4, 8, 10

To make the angle cut, place a mark at 1" and cut it to the second score mark.

Then taking the piece you cut from each side, glue it to the bottom.

Here I added a sentiment and a double layer flower

Cool effect.
