Zippered Cassette Purse

Created these tonight, keeping these for myself until I can purchase more supplies as I used what I had on hand. Then I'll be selling these.

Drawstring bag purse

When I saw this listed on FaveCrafts I just had to make it.

Beccy designed this to be created with leftover pieces of fabric and denim. While I have a lot of denim, I opted (for this one) to be lined with satin fabric.
It is so cute! and reminds me of my Vera Bradley cinches purses which they stopped making.

Took a couple hours and paying close attention to the straight lines to encase the ribbon pull as well at the strap.

Mini Purse filled with Lifesavers

I cut these from a pattern from Mel Stampz and shrunk it down so I could fit these yummy Spring Mix Lifesavers in there. I could get four of the little candies in the purse.
After cutting and scoring they glued together easily. I wanted it to go quicker since I was making 10 so I hot glue the ribbon as the handle and the flower to the front.

Can't wait till my daughter and her friends see the little treats, this is the third set and I think I am done! Now to make 10 Easter cards... all slightly different... Hmmmm

The total size without the 6" ribbon for the handle is 2 3/4"L x 1" W x 2" H
It took a piece of CS at 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 to make the mini purse and sorry to say I used new CS from American Crafts "A la Carte" more scraps to my pile!

I was blog hopping and came across this cute pattern call Love Struck Purses by Bridget Louw

So I had to give it a try!
I ended up making my own size and also will be making little note cards to go inside. Go to the next post on Wednesday to see the cards.
I created my own pocket to fit my purse and added a brad and a small piece of Velcro. Inside the pocket I'll put a little note.
