Dollar Tree mug etched

As soon as I saw this huge mug at DT I knew gifts were in mind.
I printed off a template of The New England Patriots and using Contact paper I cut out the stencil.

Placed it to the glass and dabbed on a thick layer of etching cream
I left it on for 40 minutes just to be on the safe side as my cream was old.

It is hard to get a clear picture due to the glass. I'm quite pleased and got the etching on my first try!

Christmas centerpiece

Under this snowman etched jar is a paper doily and an embossed circle. Etching is really easy and once you start you will look for other things to etch.
I cut the circle with my Coluzzle and embossed it with the CB 5 x 7 snowflake folder sold exclusively by HSN. I took my white ink pad and rubbed some onto the raised areas to bring them out more.
(I moved the jar so you can see the embossing but it will sit in the actual middle.)

Inside is some butterscotch candy I picked up. Hope to put the starlight mints or maybe mini candy canes.
This is for the Cuttlebug Challenge: My challenge for you: How can you incorporate snowmen into your holiday/seasonal decor this year?

Gift ideas - etched glasses and a candle dressed up

My neighbors birthday was this week and I wanted to make her a few items.
I bought 4 glasses from a local store and etched them with the stencils from Cricut Blackletter Font.
The Letter G is cut from vinyl at 1 1/2" and the swirl was cut at 1".

The candle is a 3 oz (small) one I picked up at the same store as the glasses. Added some paper and ribbon and bling.

Directions for the glasses are here.

inspire - altered picture frame with etching

I cut out the sentiment from Home Accents solutions Cartridge I believe at 1 1/2 or 2" (sorry forgot, I had this etched for two weeks trying to figure out what i was going to use for pp)

Added a mauve solid background so the etching can show through. Accented the base with the Sizzix swirl and rhinestone. (Click the picture please to see the etching)

Another graduation gift for my niece. She is also getting a gift card but I made just put it in a card I already made. The party is tomorrow and I am tired!

I chose the inspire sentiment as she graduated with the degree of a Health teacher, she wants to teach at the local H.S.

My first Etching!!!

So this is my first time trying the etching cream, I've seen lots of folks chat about it and wanted to etch some glasses also for my brother's birthday gift.

I first cut the vinyl on the Cricut - Blackletter Font used at 1 1/2" at slow speed - blade at 3

Used mesh tape to create a 'ruler" so all monograms would be the same height on the glass.
Added the etching cream and wait 20 minutes.
Oh the glasses are from Ocean State Job Lot 1.00 each.

Washed off the cream, removed the vinyl and awesome results! Whew! Now I think I'm addicted!
