revised notebook

I got this pocket notebook from a freecycler, not particularly liking the odd picture and saying on the cover, I revised it.

This is what it looked like and this is what I came up with! I fixed the front as well as the back.

Cardstock is from DCWV, The Old World 4 x 6 stack from JoAnn
The ribbon from Stampin' Up
The lock and key I die cut from black cardstock (Spellbinders) and the medallion is Sizzix (Tim Holtz). The little butterfly from SU!
The black elastic holds it together which was the original closure.

Altered Mini Composition Notebook

I made this for my Aunt to keep some notes written down while she is recuperating.
I used my scraps (and I have lots!) to cut and punch the elements you see, and layered them with my glue stick.
I believe the background paper is American Crafts card stock, and the border punch and the butterflies are Martha Stewart punches. Quick gift for someone or a hostess!

Vera Bradley mini notebook

I was cleaning last weekend and came across this receipt holder from VB. It was of great thickness of card stock and was large enough to make a mini notebook for my daughter who is a huge VB fan!
Finish size is 4" x 5.5". Used my cinch to bind it. You can see the video here.
I'll be mailing this tomorrow along with a crochet necklace as well, she is almost done with her summer session a NU and then she will have a 2 week break before the fall semester begins!!
