February Tissue Box

Each Month I make Kristen a tissue box cover for her dorm boutique tissue box - to brighten her room.
Here is the one for February. I did two sides, as I am in the process of making the other two sides for March.... Off to cricut land.... to create and cut...

These two sides were used with the cuttings from the Wild Card cart! Love the swirls, I also chalked subtle hearts on the background first and added pearls to the hearts.

(FYI - the tissue cover is my own creation)

Baby Card - using Wild Card

I just heard yesterday that a friend of our's daughter just had a baby boy.
Gave me a great chnace to use the baby carriage on the WC cart!

Lauren also gave us the dimensions and a piece of CS to pake a mini 4 x 4 pizza box - I have not put it together or decorated... maybe this weekend. Thanks Lauren!

Mac & Cheese treat box

I was making dinner tonight and finished off two boxes of store brand mac & cheese. Looking at the boxes and the beautiful pattern paper slab my sister gave me - I thought - hey I can cover these and fill them for my daughter’s friends at school for Valentines Day. (College kids and food! LOL)

I came up with this simple LO and it took about 15 mins.
Granted I have not been to CVS to buy the goodies, and I may do a little more tweaking to the design - but I wanted to get you the basic idea. i put all the instructions into a word doc and will create a PDF at some point.
Enjoy!

Card swap entry

I entered a card swap on the Cricut MB. We signed up for a topic and were required to make 16 of the same theme cards. I chosed Happy Birthday - Teen girl.

Here is what I will be mailing to the group.
A2 card in white, CB Happy Birthday and cut at 1 1/2 inch strip or 2 " square.
Mounted using glue dots on pattern paper.
I used CM punch to cut an aperture in the lower right corner. This shows a birthday cake through the front. Inside left blank for new owner to write what they like.

Circle gift card holders

I used the largest coluzzle web to cut the circle card (approx 4 1/2 in circle), fold piece of card stock in half and just put the circle on the fold - to create the card. Embossed the cover in the Cuttlebug. Cut the images multiple times in diff colored CS and layer. These cute images are from Sizzix collection. This is the first time I used them and they are so cute! Accents are from SU Boho punch. Glitter here and there.
P.S. You can get two cards from one 8 1/2 x 11 piece of CS.

Good luck on New semester aperture cards

Wanted to wish my daughter and her friends good luck on their semester at Northeastern University. They go back much earlier than other universities and colleges due to how they semesters are structured.
There are two openings - one to show the image through and the other for the sentiment.
MS snowflake punch with glitter applied.

Wild Card - Cart - several cards made

I dedicated a few hours on New Years Day to play with this new Cricut Cartridge called Wild Card.
Here are the cards I made. See several posting below this one.
Here are a couple Birthday Cards:

These birthday cards I made are Cut from page 48 and it was cut at 3 3/4. You can cut the envelope in the manual - or I cut this so it would fit in a standard envie.
I added stamping to the front - wish is from SU.
Star crystal if from Michael's
Ribbon bow is from Martha Stewart (on the second card)
Eyelet ribbon is from a yard sale
Flowers are from Making Memories

BandAid - Get Better card

This was created using WC - page 65 - cut at 5 1/2 - but when you get is a ~3 x 7 1/2 card.
Making Meories flowers, misc button, MS ribbon

This cut I love - star cut from page 59 of the Wild Card manual - I believe I cut it at 4"
I took the thank you sentiment from a diff card on the same Wild Card cart. (used my glitter pen as accent)
Ribbon was from a yard sale
The flower is from Michaels

THis is a funky card - has a window.
I cut this from image as seen on page 49 of the Wild card Cartridge handbook
I cut the Thank You to fit in the window by adhereing it to the window frame
Ribbon from a yard sale and pearls from Michaels to keep the front simple.
