Scare or Be scared

Hee hee.
Well I had fun created this double page LO using the sketch from Sketchy Thursday

I cut the title from Blackletter Cricut cartridge at 1 1/2"
I cut the side upper accents also from Blackletter using the blackout feature at 1 1/2"
The wonderful spider web was cut at 10" (which I cut in half) from Cricut cartridge caleld Wild Card.

Happy Birthday

I completed this card for three challenges:
1) Sketchy Thursday's second change IPPITY LO
2) Colour Create to use lime and yellow
3) Charisma Cardz blog hop birthday challenge to create a CELEBRATE card

Thanksgiving LO's finished

I was so happy to see my Snapfish order arrive yesterday also (with my DCRU order) that I could not wait to finish my LO's.

I used A Child Year Cricut Cartridge for the Pilgrim folks 3" (man) and 2 3/4" (female) and the title cut at 2"! Don't you love that font!?! The Turkey and pie and horn of plenty also cut at 3" from ACY as well.

My Die Cuts R Us order!

SO I was reading my email and on late Sunday night DCRU sends an email regarding new products at Die Cuts R Us Corner they are having a great sale. Of course I could not pass this up! I bought these wonderful items and Claudia shipped them right away. I got them Wednesday! Now that's service!

Happy New Year - a couple cards

To all my followers and blogger friends - Happy New Year and hope this year brings you with good health and memorable times.

Here is a card I made last night with my new Cricut Cart and Embossing HSN folders I bought myself for Christmas... well I had my husband wrap them as it's safer and I like to buy on sale!

Anyway - The Cricut cart was the solutions BlackLetter that I wanted forever - which I purchased online for 25.00 and it has 20% off. Yahoo what a bargain I thought.
THe letters were cut at 1"
The back ground is one of those new HSN Cuttlebug Embossing (it was a set of 6) folders. I think this one was called Flurries.

Click on the pic to get a better view. (PEarls and inking as well)

Christmas is for children...

...of all ages!

Here is a LO of my children this year. I used the elements that SheShe sent us to use. And I used the last sketch from 52 Sketches as the blog is closing after 2 years [sad].

I made the beaded pin accents which were gold tone wire curled on the end and beads threaded on.

Happy Birthday - shaker card

I created this card for two challenges: One at Doodle Palace for glitter and the other in which I used the LO from Practical Scrappers

A2 Card holder

I followed along to make an A2 Card holder on the Project Tuesday blog.
I found a fun piece of card stock that was nice and thick and sturdy.

I added a piece of Velcro to the inside to keep it closed.

To decorate the front further I followed along with the sketch for challenge #52 at Create4fun blog.

Sweet Love

I made this card for 4 challenges in mind:
1) Colour Create Challenge - we had to use Pink Burgundy, Ivory and Roses
2) Daring Cardmakers - we had to make a New Beginnings card
3) At Just Buggin' challenge #17 we had to ink our die cuts (hearts)
4) The Pink Elephant challenge #46 to use their LO.

Martha Stewart lace border punch on cover, SU hearts punch run through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. SU corner ticket punch on the inside layout pieces

Thank You cards

At Winter Wonderland this weeks challenge was Thank You cards. Which was perfect as I had already made 10 of them. Since this fits with the challenge I will post my creation.
As soon as I saw this Changito stamp I knew I was going to use it to make the cards.

I was so glad to find this stamp in the clearance bin a couple months ago at Michael's

Notepad gifts

I bought two packs of these a month or so from Ocean State Job lot for 1.00

My idea was to cover them for my family members. When I saw the monogram Martha Stewart stamp set at Wal-Mart I knew I had my idea completed in my head!
** edit** I first stated Michael's - I wish it was at Michael's I could have used a coupon - sadly I paid full price at Wal-Mart. **

Front of the folder is embossed using the Cuttlebug.
I passed them out at Christmas and they loved them.

Recycle Christmas card to cute tags

I was going through some old Christmas cards I had (yes I save them all) and found this cute one with elves or are they fairy's?
I cut out the cute little images and then used my Very Merry Tags to cut corresponding 2 1/2 in tags which I ran through my Cuttlebug folder.

Added some ribbon and will use them on my children presents.
Great to re-purpose things.

Book Mark - bead and ribbon

I made this for my daughter - she goes to Northeastern University (NU in Boston).
I thought she could use it as a book mark.

I plan on making one more - the school colors are red and black. The ribbon is more than 14 inches long and the beaded portion will hang over the top.

Soda Bottle Gift Containers

I could not wait to make these for my niece and nephews.
They are 20 oz Coke bottles with gift cards inserted.

I made the tags using Very Merry Tags from Cricut.

If was fun seeing them try to figure out how to open them. Needless to say my niece figured it rather quickly.

(sorry for the photo - I took it when I was over my sisters and I could only snap one pic)

More bubble ornaments

I made these for my local postal clerks, Joanne and Deb along with the cards in the previous post.

They always enjoy seeing what I am mailing next in the creative department.
If you turn them a little - you can not see the end point (as you can plainly see in the second from the left!)

Peace & Joy

Here is card two using my new Cuttlebug folder

Sorry the white is hard to see - but it says Peace & Joy
Layered on a Martha Stewart border punch.
This card is entry #2 at Doodle Palace

Season's Greetings

I just made a couple cards with my new Embossing folder from Cuttlebug! Love it. which I bought it earlier - will definitely make lots of cards and tags next year with it

I am entering this and the next card in the weekly challenge at Doodle Palace

Border punch from Martha Stewart and pearls from Michael's.

Joy... BBtB challenge

I followed along with Regina at BBtB challenge to use the ribbon cut on JOTS Cricut Cartridge
Base card run through the Herringbone folder, inside accent cs run through Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. Ribbon is from Stampin Up. I did not want to tie a bow to take away from the cut so I layed two ribbons above and below. The oval is cut with my Coluzzle in gold sparkle cs.
Ribbon - 2 1/2" - which is actually a creme color but shows up white in the photo (page 65)
Joy inside cut a t1 1/4" (Page 77) accented by a crystal

Swirls and Pearls

At Allsorts blog we were challenged to use swirls and pearls. My favorite accent items.

Here is a digi of Retro Bonnie all decked out a Cuttlebug D'Vine swirl embossing folder, then mounted on a crimped blue frame. I added pearls and a sheer Stampin' Up ribbon to complete this adorable but quick card.

Gift tags or ornaments

I was blog hopping and came across a rectangle then cut into a tree shaped. Tracy Harp had run it through the Cuttlebug and inked the embossing.... so I took it one step further.

I added the following elements to the "tree" an acetate ornament, and a border using a Martha Stewart punch.

I may add them to our tree or use them as package or gift bag tie on's..... just wanted to show to to use acetate with your punches and Cuttlebug for a neat effect.

I am entering this as well into The Practical Scrappers blog
