N for Noel

At ABC Christmas Challenge Blog we are up to the letter N - N for Noel
Created this card using the CB embossing folder and sanded away to make the ornaments pop. Added rhinestones for bling and a border punch at the bottom.
The Noel embossing is also from CB.

Took me awhile to think of how I was going to enter this challenge at Winter Wonderland.
The challenge was strawberry and cream.

Added a ribbow from SU across the top and hung three MS snowflakes.
The blue toned CS by DCWV.

Entering this card into 2 challenges
Daring Cardmakers asked for ice and snow and Get Sketchy gave us this sketch to work with.

Tim Holtz Embossing folder Thank you card

Arrow down for the Blog Candy entry posting below - closing tonight.

I was excited to pick up the pair of Tim Holtz Sizzix embossing folder at AC Moore on Friday night.
I made this Thank you card by embossing a white core card front and inking it with my ColorBox Cat eye ink.
The Sentiment is from Inkadinkado, and I used the SU punch and raised on foam squares.
The ric rack is from a huge bag I just scored from a local thrift store.
The Circles were punched from my dual small circle punch form Creative Memories.

To help me complete this card I used the sketch from 365 Cards Day 118 sketch:

Motivational wall canvas

I made this for my daughter today. She is finishing her Summer Session I at Northeastern University and soon to start her Co-Op at a hospital in a couple weeks. I am so proud of her and want her to know it.

This is a small canvas square I picked up at Michael's. Painted it with this wonderful purple (her sorority color) Use this beautiful gold acrylic paint to make this rough star. All around the perimeter I wrote inspiration thoughts to keep her going through a 6 year program.
I can't wait to give it to her next week.

I am entering this into the Crafty Creation "shine" challenge.

M is for Mistletoe

At ABC Christmas challenge blog - we are up to the letter M. 1/2 done. I have missed a few alphabet letters but I still have a stash left over from last year!

Since I did not have any true mistletoe stamps I resorted to the image section of Google. I added crackle medium to the background image except the actual plant. Please click the pic to see the crackle effect.

The back ground DCWV card stock is fabulous for embossing with the Cuttlebug folders. Been using the DCWV cards all day and sanding them to expose the white core.
The prize is hosted by Stamp and Create...at ABC Challenge Blog.

D2D digi - Make a Wish

I used the digi I got for entering week 2. Here is my card and you can see more ideas at Delightful Inspirations.
I embossed the base cardstock with the numbers Cuttlebug folder. Added the candles embossing folder. (Added glitter to the flames)
To help me complete the card I used the layout at Create4Fun
Sketch:
Inside sentiment from Inkadinkado

Vintage Christmas card

At Christmas Stampin All Year Long - this weeks challenge was to go Vintage.
The image is from Google, the embossing on the base card was sanded (Cuttlebug folder) the sentiment is a stamp from Inkadinkado.
The lace is from a spool I had from Jo-Ann's and the buttons are truly vintage. Take a look at the two on the right - those are wooden buttons. (I even left the vintage thread in one of them) I got them in a yard sale last year.
I am entering this in at CSAYL and Sunday Sketch and Stamp

deck the halls

Edited: On Sunday. I wasn't happy with the card below -so I added 2 loops of red ribbon. This is to tie in the holly berries and fill in the empty space. See the after card.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Created this card using the sketch at Allsorts.
Since my card was not a square - I was able to get two rows of 3 instead of 3 rows of 3.
I ran the squares through the Allegra Music embossing folder to mimic music sheet to go with the song "deck the halls with boughs of holly".
I punched the branches using the Martha Stewart punch to make a little gathering of holly. And added a few near the sentiment. I computer generated the text and use SU punches to mount it on foam tape.

This week sponsor at Allsorts is

Project Tuesday Glitter Windows

Loved this technique at Project Tuesday we were asked to make a card with glitter windows. What that is, is a section of your card that had been punched out, packaging tape adhered sticky side up to the back of the strip and then you pour glitter over the "sticky" window. Almost like stained glass. It's a shame you adhere it to the base card. I am going to try it with it as a true window!

Anyway, here is my entry.
The flower punched out sections is a retired SU punch.
