One sheet mini album

This little 3 x 3" mini album was made using one sheet of 12" x 12" pattern paper.
Covers created by cutting cardboard at 3 1/4" x 3 1/4", which was also covered with pattern paper. (Cover says dream but camera did not pick it up due to the glitter)
Please see the video for all the fun page elements. I think I'll be making for just in different colors and trying to sell them. What do you think?

Mini home made album Video

Mini home made album

Hi all,
I watched Elsa Ustream class on replay and she made a cute little 4 x 4 mini album from a Splenda box and mini paper bags. Since my son finished off a large Pop Tart box - I used that as the cover/spine/back starting piece. (great re-purpose idea!) (Now I am looking at more boxes to save and make minis!!)

Here is a left side page element - I used the Stampin' Up petal punch and when you fold it a certain way it makes a heart pocket!
I had to make my own pages (as I did not have paper bags as Elsa used or perhaps envelopes) for the size of my album. I took a 12 x 9 3/4" piece of card stock - scored it at 4 3/4 and 9 1/2 to make the pages. The 1/4" tab has glued applied - I then folded it in half at the 6" point and there you go - I get the two pages, with two pockets as needed.
I copied her binding technique - but changed up the closure a little bit.
I punch a hole in the back cover and double thread the ribbon and then ties an office binder clip. (sorry I do not have a close up pic)

Here is the binding and the charms I made using Tom Holtz fragments. I added pearl beads and the clear facet beads to the dangled ribbon for a bit of fun!
The card stock is from American Crafts "a la carte" selections
Pocket with tag.

This is a shower gift form my nephew's fiance.
My next post has the you tube video - my first!

Welcome New followers!

I seem to have 5 more followers bringing my number to 286! When I reach 300 - I'll have a blog candy give-a-way to my followers... I am pleased as punch to have you visit - oh my gosh did I really say that.

Well let me tell my latest followers a little about me.
I live in New England where the weather changes every day! I love it so and would not live anywhere else...
We have three children - one in college and two more graduating High School this year!!!
I love all kinds of crafts, sewing, scrapbooking, card making, oh my a little of everything - if I see a new craft - it goes on my "to make" list.

I used to sew a lot when the kids were little, moved to making quilts and those fabric and lace covered albums - ha ha - remember those!
I put my crafting aside in the early 90's but picked it up again in the form of scrapbooking - I have over 20 albums completed and added rubber stamping to my craft portfolio about 5 years ago... got my Cricut oh... maybe 2 1/2 years ago and have about 30 carts (maybe more not opened - shhhh). Love my Cuttlebug too - if a card or item needs oommphhs - emboss it!

Well I ramble on .. and will let you go. Stay tuned for some other things happening here in my corner. And welcome!
Please comment through out my blog as that is the best way for me to find you!
I also have an option over there on the right to get my blog feeds in your emails.

Have a great night!!!
oh I forgot - I post weekly coupons here - craft how to's and blogs I enter.

Colour Create Easter card

At Colour Create they wanted to see Pink, Black and white

Here I stamped the Stugio G bunnies with black StazOn and mounted it on black cardstock and then raised it on foam squares on the bright fun pink card base.
I added some vibrant pink pearls too.

Hoppy Easter with Card Patterns

I love this sketch at Card Patterns - I used this cute Stampendous image frames it in a Spellbinders die and layered it with some yellow bakers thread from the Twinery.

Inside sentiment was computer generated because I lost my "hoppy Easter" stamp...
Stampin Up punches used on sentiment and the border on the front of the card.

Daring Card maker meets Stars and Stamps

Ha ha ... ok - I think I am getting a little silly here .. trying to finish all my Easter cards for my daughter and her friends.
If you have followed my blog - you'll see all the little treats I made yesterday. So I want to get all the treats and cards in the mail tomorrow!!!!
The challenges are helping me so... with the bird challenge at Daring Cardmakers and the sketch at Stars and Stamps I got this one accomplished! Because the embossing is so prominent I am entering this card into Crafty Catz as well.
Embossing is SU, the two punch bird is also SU.

Also - to tie this together - I used the color theme at The Paper Players I couldn't find my Baja Breeze so I may not qualify...

Butterflies for Easter OWH S&S sketch

I love this simple clean sketch from OWH S&S blog they just posted.
It help me complete two more Easter cards - wahoo! Here is one. I used SU paper and the Embosslet butterflies to folow the theme and sketch. As soon as I saw that heart - I knew I wanted to substitute the butterfly in it's spot.
Here is the inside - I had to hand write what I wanted to say as I didn't have the right sentiment.

Hobby Lobby Coupon

Juggling Easter Bunny and Sunday Sketch

For my next two Easter cards I used pre-made base cards from Gartner Studios - they came in a variety pack of base colors. I used my scraps from the mini box bags and followed the sketch at Sunday Sketch & Stamp.
On the first card I flip the sketch on the second I left it as it is on the sketch. The image is from SU. The circle die is from Spellbinders.

Embossed layers Easter card

My next Easter card I am entering it in Create4Fun sketch see below and white plus one at Alphabet Challenge Blog and at Crafty Catz embossing. The image I used is from Stampin' Up, the border punched on the front is from Martha Stewart, embossing folder I use is from SU
I hope you can see how I layered the embossing to match from one mat to the next
Here is the inside - sentiment with a little embossing

Paper Cutz Chick card

I have 10 Easter cards to make - so I am having the challenges help me whip them out today.
So - I am sorry if I am posting a lot and filling up your reader!
For this Z fold card I followed these challenges, to use a bunny or chick etc on a card or project at Paper Cutz Challenge and a chick on Raise The Bar
I need a layout to help me and turned to Get Sketchy #82
The color theme at Crazy 4 Challenges of brown green and valilla... hmmm yummy colors.
