Joy - rocking horse

Trying to get the old time Christmas with a brighter edge, Stamp from Martha Stewart, sentiment from SU, Swirls from (I think K&Co) added glitter and used my coluzzle to cut the circles. Ribbon from Target dollar bin.Added bling to the swirls and the corner - it was lacking something.

Trees - Happy Holidays

I cut these trees twice from Zoo Balloo at 3", the card stock I used for the trees - dark green from Provo Craft and the pattern paper is from SU. I used Martha Stewart glitter to look like frost.
The Happy Holidays stamp is from Martha Stewart which I flocked.
The background I stamped with swirls added rhinestones for more sparkle.
Entering this for Polly Craft challenge to use two diff stamps, Winter Wonderland had to be a monochromatic card and at Bah! Humbug it had to have trees on it.
At Craft Catz needed shades of green

Hello - using Zoo Balloo

I made this card for my nephew. I was chatting with my sister this morning and he needs a couple teeth pulled for upcoming braces. So I thought I'll send him a cute card.
I made this for the Challenge chat on the Cricut message board and use the layout from Get Sketchy #27

The fish and fishbowl were cut at 3 1/2 and the font was cut at 1"
Ink and layered with foam tape, use "rain dots" for the accents.

Make a Wish

This card came to me when I bought the stamp at Michael's dollar bin tonight as well as this border punch by Fiskars from Target for 6.28 tonight as well.

I paired it up with the D'vine swirls Cuttlebug folder and entering this in the following challenges

Owl note card

I tried out the double embossing that Nilda gave us instruction on the Cuttelbug spot blog

Then I took the deboss and used that as my frame for the owl image, to keep with the swirls, I continued with the D'vine Swirl folder and embossed the base card.
Added some Prima flowers and pearls and the cover was done.

The inside I used the swirl stamp from the same set the owl came from, I believe it was from K&Co.

The layout was from Winter Wonderland - I know it's not a Christmas card - but I thought the layout went with the embossing and double de-bossed card.

Easter doll card

Here is another in my series, the doll is made from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge cut at 4" the inside sentiment is from the Designer calendar Cricut cartridge cut at 1". I like the script on this saying, it allowed me to place in a curve.

I also used StudioG Flocking. this is the first time I used flocking. Placed it on the bunny slipper tails and the ears of the little girls hat.
I am entering this in a couple challenges, one at The Pink Elephant in which I used their layout and at Crafty Catz we had to use a fancy edge and a ribbon. The fancy edge is the Martha Stewart loop punch and the ribbon is the multi string like ribbon I bought at Michael's.

St Patrick's Day doll card

This is the first in a series that I would like to make for the different holiday's. Each doll will be holding a string that has the corresponding event or season. I thought this would be fun to do.
(Sure I missed Valentine's Day - but I can still make it up - ha ha.)

The doll is cut from Paper Doll Dress Cricut cartridge at 4"
the inside sentiment was cut at 2" using the Designer Calendar Cricut cartridge as well as the shamrock on his hat and inside.

He has a lot of piece and layers so I made two at a time for another card or LO.

This is the third one in a series of 4 wall hangings for my daughter's dorm room.

Cuts are as follows:
"S" Umbrella from Designer Calendar Cricut cartridge that I won from Cuttlebug Challenges cut at 2". The rain is liquid pearls
"P" Shamrocks are from Designer Calendar cut at 2" and 1", inked and raised with foam tape
"R" Dragonfly from Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge cut at 2", blue Stickles used on the wings and the flight pattern is gold glitter glue
"I" are bunnies from Doodlecharms Cut at 2" and 1 1/4"
"N" The gorgeous eggs are cut from Designer Calendar at 1 1/2" and glitters with Martha Stewart glitter
"G" are Tuilps from Designer Calendar cut at 2" and 3/4" run through the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls folder to emboss and also Stickled

The letters for S P R I N G were cut at 2" from Designer Calendar

Hello There!

These ducks are too cute! They are from Doodle Charms Cricut cartridge cut at 2" and 1 1/4"
Their bodies are run through the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug Embossing folder as well as a portion of the base purple card stock.
The pp is from Provo Craft, the little tag is a leftover from a Valentine project that I did not use and thought it fir in perfect on this card.

EDITED - I retook the pictures are they were too dark.

I know we struggle with male birthday cards, so when I saw the LO tonight at Posh Designs Scrapbook Store I just had to give it a shot.

The border candle punch is from EK Success
The embossing is the Birthday words Cuttlebug folder. I also used a piece on the side punch out - by using the Stampin' Up large word window punch.
The arrow is also a Stampin' Up punch.

Gift card

On Project Tuesday, today's challenge was to create a gift card using this video tutorial .
I did mine a little different as I wanted a square card.
I took a 4 x 12 piece of card stock and scored at 4 and 8. The middle portion is then folded and the rest of the directions are the same.
I put a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4" cover and backing on so my finished project is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4"
I ran the cover and the back through the Cuttlebug Embossing folder because it matched my inner cardstock from Amanda Blu tablet that I got in the clearance section of Michael's.
The sentiment is a stamp set from K&Co that I got from Target clearance section last year.
The rose was cut from Indie Art Cricut Cartridge at 3 1/2"

This is for my Mother in Law, we always give her gift cards and I rather her get what she likes and needs.

As I mentioned below - I learned how to crochet this weekend and found this simple pattern for a heart.

I created this card for my mother in law.
Using the layout from Lili of the Valley it helped me evolve the card to this details.

I entered the challenge again since I already had the pp out (Provo Craft) for the Polka Dot and Plaid challenge at Frosted Designs

I created this card for my sister who helped me learn to crochet this weekend. I bought some new yarn yesterday at ACM and wanted to send her a thank you.

I enjoy making these flowers so you will probably see more as I pick up more colors of yarn.

Crochet - who me?

So I have been in awe of those little crochet flowers. I really wanted to make them and by chance I came across a blog of a wonderful woman who did a little video on how to make the flowers s well as the heart.
Mind you - I have NEVER crocheted before.

I bought a hook and some yarn, tried to watch the video - stop, pause, play... stitch... so forth. I had emailed my youngest sister Beverly yesterday morning and in passing I said I am trying to teach myself to make flowers. She said - Sheryl - I know how to crochet. So instantly she was my HERO!

I went over her house and it all made sense.

The little flower with the yarn still showing is my first flower. A little on the tight side - but I was proud. So off to my home I went last night. I made three more and this morning made 3 more 5 petal flowers. I called her to say - Hey I did more and getting my time to 10 mins a flower - don't laugh [giggle] mind you I am very new at all this st sl ch language.

Bev goes on to say - hey I made a 6 petal flower last night - I immediately made 2 - in fact I love the 6 petal better!

So here is the fruits of my labor. Now off to find folks with leftover balls of yarn for me to try different colors.

Midterms

Here is a card I am sending to my daughter who is in her second year in college.

The clock is from Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge cut at size 1 1/2"
The "paper" is punched using the office punch from Stampin' Up and I hand stitched the blue embroidery thread. The mini alphabet letter for midterms is from Making Memories, the Good luck is single clear stamps I had to spell out - which allowed me to place them in a circle which I cut using my Coluzzle template.
Ribbon is from Stampin Up as well as the heart punch and the butterflies.

Here is a card I created with my new Cuttlebug Folder that I got from Die Cuts R Us (super fast shipping!) it's called Lace Tree.
This card is glittered with Martha Stewart clear glitter and I followed along with two challenges tonight.
1- Die Cuts R Us stated - no designer paper for their challenge #26! So I made my own useing the Victoria Cuttlebug folder on the back ground and with some pearls.
2) Color theme challenge # 25 Black and white at Just Buggin'

The inside is detailed with a Martha Stewart border punch and the word Peace by Sizzix.
