Hello Kitty 1st Birthday card

I borrowed this Cricut Cartridge from a friend as I needed it to make this Birthday Card for a 1 year old. The theme of the event was Hello Kitty so I was excited to be able to make a card to match.

Sorry for the poor image but I took it with my phone on my way out the door to the party. The kitty actually has a pink nose and her sleeve is a light pink!

I cut it fit to page on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of black card stock. when cut and folded it stated it would be 8".Link

OWH S&S Sketch 88 - Halloween card

We had to follow the sketch at S&S

I love that they give you all the measurements!

This pumpkin I made with three little oval punches, a flower punch as the leaves, and as the vines a letter I had die cut that was sitting on my table! I cut it up and glued it behind the ovals. All raised on foam.

Double embossing

For an elegant look - emboss white embossing powder on white card stock. I am entering this at CSAYL simple challenge.

The back ground is the snow flake folder from Stampin' Up. Tree and sentiment are from SU Snow Swirl set.

Boo wall hanging

Created this from an old CD for the challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges
LinkMade the three medallions from a 1" strip of paper, the alphabet font is an old Sizzix strip die. The fence border punch is from Fiskars and the Drippy Goo top border punch is from Martha Stewart. The little bats is a triple punch I had from a long time ago that had no branding.

Spotlight image - one layer

There are different ways to spot light a portion of your image, in this way that I learned from Gingersnap Creations is a one layer technique.

Take your image and stamp it on the base card stock. Then mask off anything you do not want to color - you can use painters tape but suggested was post it type paper.
I chalked the background as well as the spotlight image.

Stamp from Stampin' Up Fall Whimsy, stazon ink and decorating chalk. It is hard to get the correct lighting to show off the spotlight.

Accordion Card

I learned this accent for a card from She's a Sassy Lady
You make the traditional according piece but you layer it behind an aperture. In this case I used my Spellbinder dies to make the window and frame. Glittered with martha Stewart glitter and the swirl is from Sizzix Tim Holtz die. Added some paper Prima's and glitzy and gems.

Another card for my daughter... now to figure out how I am going to ship it with out it getting crushed, probably a bubble envelope.

Less is More shrinky dink charm card

I create this long overdue card for my daughter!!! She is probably going into card withdrawals since I usually send her one a week!
I followed the sketch at Less is More and wanted to incorporate my little locket charm I made with skrinky dink plastic, Quickutz die and Tim Holtz stamp:
Sentiment from Technique Tuesday:
Entered this at AllSorts - keep it simple challenge. This was a quick but effective card - I did not want to take away from my meaning to my daughter.

I bought a package of 10 sheets at Michaels a couple days ago for 5.00 minus a coupon.
I wanted to make my own charms and accent pieces.

The butterfly is a Spellbinders thin Die, the lock is a Quick Cutz thin die

I am making a couple cards tonight with these and will show them soon!

Shabby Vintage Anniversary card

Made this card for my good friend Terry - her and her husband will be celebrating 40 yrs marriage!

Stampin Up supplies - card design created by Judi at Sunday's group!
To make the flower punch two 5 petal flower punch from card stock, mist it to get it moist, then crumble it. Let it dry, then apply DTP (direct to paper) the ink. Punch a hole in the center to insert a brad. Fun technique!

Tim Holtz Vintage Clock mini Album

I enjoyed making this album tonight - the foundation are used CD's and the inspiration is Tim Holtz Vintage Clock and Bird Cage dies. I also used the large Butterfly from Spelbinders and various products from Prima and Stampin Up to name a few. Also on the cover is vintage music sheet from 1940's!

Please enjoy the video and I have put together a kit to make one more that I will be selling if anyone is interested!
