Wal-Mart two lite carts for 45.00

I am psyched. I missed the 5AM sale for one of the lite specials for 20.00 yesterday - but when I looked this morning the Wal-Mart web site has two for 45.00!
Free shipping. Yeah and I didn't have to brave the crowds and gas money.
I also had a 20.00 e-gift card so I got two for 25.00. I will have my kids give these to me for Christmas presents.

The two I bought - Cricut Lite Cartridge, B is for Boy and Cricut Lite Cartridge, Sugar & Spice

Click the pic for a clearer image. They are so cute - and some of the images would be great for diff type of cards, like birthday or get well and baby cards and albums of course! Wahoo!

An Acorn Thank you

You may or may not remember my posting last month when I painted the acorns from my back yard.
A blogger saw them and commented on the size (I guess the ones I had in my back yard were approx 1 1/2").
Ricki had not seen acorns that size so I mailed 50 of them to Arizona where she lived.
We had not met but only through the blog posting.

As a thank you she sent me this cute card holder for my purse!
I was surprised and pleased to receive such a thoughtful gift. Pink is my favorite color!!!! I am going to use it for all those store gift card type coupon to keep them separated from my bank card.

Thank again Ricki!!

Welcome New Followers

Wow - this past weekend's blog hop increased my followers and I get to meet all of you!
Welcome!
Thank you all new followers - awesome to have you join. Please see next post as I will reveal the two winners of this weekends CCF Blog Hop

A little about myself, I have been a crafter for many years. I started with fabric and small home decor, moved up to albums and quilts. Made my children Pj's and Halloween costumes when they were little. They have long since grown. Back in the late 90's I was introduced to scrapbooking and have completed over 20 albums. In the past 5 years I have got into card making and now I can be seen making multiple cards in a weekend as well as other paper crafts.

I have an Expression Cricut Machine and a Cuttlebug. I do not have the G or DS... someday perhaps.

My next blog candy will be when I reach 250 followers. (I just had my 225 blog candy last week or so).
I hope you find this blog fun and helpful, please comment so I can get to your blog. If you do not have a blog - but a private or closed blog - please still comment or subscribe by email.
I post coupons weekly to help us "fuel" and save on our enjoyment.

If you have any questions - my email is posted under my ID page.
Thanks and come back soon!

We did one in September that was a school theme and this month is a thankful theme.

I am thankful for my family, my children, and my friends. We would like you to visit all blogs and comment along the way.
Crystal is our commander and you start there to get the listing if you have not already done so.
If you have followed along - you would have just come from blondemommy26
I am your last stop before you return to Crystal for a final comment.

Here are a couple things I made - a card and gift bag set.

Directions for the bag can be found here. (I made a Santa suit one below) You can decorate the front any way you like. I did this one to match the Pilgrim outfit. I think you can figure out the Pilgrim motif without directions.

Cricut Card Fairy Thankful Blog Hop

Tomorrow we are having our second Cricut Card Fairy Blog Hop. This one is themed for our thankfulness for all the blessings in our lives.

We hope you will hop along with us. Comment on all blogs and Crystal is giving away a special blog hop candy.

A little background about the CCF: we are a group of folks who make cards and mail them to those who need a pick me up, or it's a special birthday, or someone is experienced a hardship.
So a few of us have entered into our second blog hop. If you like to make cards and want to join us in our missions you can send an email to Crystal at cricutcardfairyarmy@gmail.com .

Thanksgiving card

This was a great sketch at Card Patterns to get me to use up my scraps!! I cleaned off my craft table a few nights ago and have a pile of pattern paper and card stock that is very huge. How did that happen. Well now I have a clean work surface and can get to crafting.
So I vow to make cards using my scraps and this card is the results:

Tiny mini Pizza Box Ornament

I designed this mini tiny pizza box to hold my crochet heart ornament.
The finish size is 2 x 2 x 1"

It was fun trying to get it to fit my ornament and make it, its own ornament as well - kind of a 2 for one. I hope who ever gets it from my crochet group likes it.

The cs is from SU, the pattern paper is from Hot of the Press, the snowflake is from Martha Stewart as well as the glitter.

I'll post the directions in another post as not to make this one too long.

Crochet heart ornament

I am in an ornament swap with my Wednesday night crochet group. Seeing how I only know how to crochet a few things, (Hearts, flowers, butterflies and shamrocks) that I learn from you tube I took what I knew and made this ornament.
I am limited to really understanding full blown patterns
but I can follow videos and simple directions.
I will make a box to put this in that will also hand on the tree - like two ornaments in one. I hope to finish that today to post.

Holiday Crafts web site

Hi Just came across this web site from a fellow blogger - you can sign up for their monthly newsletter.
Holiday Crafts and Creations
(Click on the image and it till take you to their web site)

Award from Rhonda

Thank you Rhonda for the fabulous award!

You have to check out her blog - she makes the most wonderful creative unique mini albums. As a recipient of 2 (and also a surprise one) I am amazed!!!!

I am told I have to mention three things that give me attitude. Hmmm...

1. Well crafting - it could be cards or layouts - anything paper!
2. Getting up early and planning and creating...
3. My children and my friends/family

(I'll pass this on later - as I have hundreds of blogs to visit and crafting to get done - hence my attitude toward crafting!!!)

How to make the pinwheel

So I learned how to make this pinwheel from Judi - my Stampin' Up friend/demonstrator.

I am just going to show you the pinwheel not the card - you can see a card I did here.
Sorry I do not have the ability of doing a video.. someday I'll get with it. (OMG do people say that any more)
So here are the directions and measurement.
Cut two of the same color of solid cs pieces at 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"
Cut 4 (or used a 1 1/4" punch) squares in coordinated cs pieces
Cut 4 1 1/4" x 1/4" (or use a punch) in a printed paper.

My cs and pattern paper is from SU.

Ok - lets put these together.
Glue one 2 5/8" square to the other to create a 8 pointed "star"
Glue one pattern cs 1 1/4" square to one of the points (only put a little - you'll see why when we glue on the last square.
Glue the solid 1 1/4" square to the next point - you can see the pinwheel happening
Continue to glue the rest (but leave the last one for a sec

Now put glue on the last squared and tuck it under the first one you put down.
Here is the finish item - I glued a silver pearl to the middle
