Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 23

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long this week challenge is to make a white card, I did one of these a few weeks back (on my own - lol) - so this time I added a splash of color for my base card to match my ink.

The subtle image you see is actually a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.
It may be hard to see - it is a house amongst the snow drift with new fallen snow. click on the pic below to see a close up.
Pearls added for the falling snow. The Sentiments are from Inkadinkado.

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long - Challenge 22

This week was a free for all - but Maria was kind enough to give us a sketch at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long

I used Fluffles stamp and colored with my Marvey markers.
Matted it using my Coluzzle. Crimped a piece of the same base cardstock for a little accent and added the sheer red bow.

Home Accents - keyboard image

I just bought this last night at Wal-Mart for 30.00 and since the keys are very small and hard to quickly see the icons... (Becasue this is a solutions cart - there is no handbook)

I scanned the keypad on my scanner and I printed a copy on 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. Resulting in a 6 x 10 1/2 enlargement once I cut out all the white space.

Now I can see the keys and what I am selecting- hope this may be helpful to any one.

Wild Card - Alphabet listing of phrases

Last night - while making the Father day cards below.... I was forever looking in my original cheat sheet for the phrase "Happy Father's Day" - I vowed to put these in alphabetical order.

Hope this helps you all.

Father's Day card - using WC and CB

Made a couple cards for our sons to give today.
Both are made from the Wild Card Cricut cartridge. The yellow based card is from page 41 - Key #10 "joy". The blue based card is from page 45 key # 14 "triangle".

I cut them at 5". The Happy Father's day is from key # 45 in case you are wondering.
Liners were also cut to add to the front of the card, I embossed those using The Cuttlebug embossing folders then adhered to the front.
Inside were embellished with various "odd" cuts from the cartridge as well. I think they look cool - for our 16 yr old sons to give to "dad".

THANKS - swoop card

Created these two swoop cards (ref page 42 of the manual) as they are called using the Cricut Wild Card cartridge. This is my first time useing this cut on the cartridge. Base card set at 4". The first card was set with the flip option. I used the cut out piece as the base for the sentiment. Just one way to use scraps. I cut out a scrap piece of green so the personal message could be seen and did some doodling. I think this makes a great male thank you card.

Using the same pp for the liner on the cover - this is the second card. I kept to the idea of the swoop card, but added two Martha Stewart punch for added detail to the front of the card. Made this more feminine.

Piano Recital card

My niece is playing in her first piano recital today.

I made this card using the Cuttlebug Music embossing folder, inked it blue.

Cuts were made with the Cricut Joy of The Season's cart (music notes) and You did It! sentiment from the Wild Card cartridge.

Misc flower and office brad as well as my trusty glitter pen and white gel pen.

16 Birthday cards

Our boys are turning 16 tomorrow and wanted to create cards to reflect their personality.
Both cards were made from Cricut's Wild Card cartridge for the base card and the Happy Birthday Sentiment. Did you remember there are numbers and alphabet also on the cart!! So the 16 was also cut from WC. Indie Art was used for the accents - the skull and the star. Stamps used were 7gyspies to break up the background.

Happy Father's Day - Tri-Shutter Card

This card is for my dad whom I love dearly.
I was poking around the tutorials on Splitcoaststampers web site and came across this rather intriguing card. The main cuts and scores are so easy! What takes a bit of time is the inner paper piecing rectangles... and choosing your coordinating card stock. Fortunately I used a Scrap Pack from Colorbok so they all matched. The phrases and hearts were cut using the Cricut Wild Card cart. Ribbon is from Wal-Mart. Also entered this card in the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge# 35: FathersDay/Masculine projects
What the card looks like when it is fully closed.
Card fully opened
another view fully opened (Center section - I will put a private message to my dad.)

Gift Card Wristlet

Went to my sister's graduation last night - I am so proud of her! Going back to school and getting her degree.

I gave her multiple gift cards to various stores and needed a holder for them. Since I had made one like this a couple months back for my Aunt I had 15 mins to spare and created this one.
Accent Essentials cartridge used to cut out the flap, button from my stash, velcro dot for the enclosure and ribbon from Wal-Mart for the handle.

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge - Anniversary Card

This week the task (challenge #34) was to create an Anniversary card. How fitting as I needed to make a 25th card!

Since 25th anniversaries are silver I used silver mettalic card stock from Michael's. These mettalics are stunning. The bottom edge was done with a wonderful punch from Martha Stewart. Three Cuttlebug folders used on this card, flowers and birds, swiss dots and the heart from the To/From set.
(I did this twice and raised the accent with foam squares.
Stampin' Up ticket punch used through out the card to edge the corners. Coluzzle used to cut the ovals and some bling in the corners.
